Rose Cottage

We loved staying in Rose Cottage.

Perfect location and the cottage had everything we needed - it was cosy and peaceful. I did just miss a normal shower but a very small price to pay when everything else was great.

A charming cottage, ideally situated for visiting the Brontë Parsonage and Haworth and surrounding area.

Walking distance from the railway station for those without transport. A fabulous location for walkers.

Rose cottage is in a good location for access to the local vicinity and bus stops.

Consideration has been given to equip the cottage with everything required for a comfortable stay. There were a few minor personal preferences but these didn’t diminish my experience. This area of Yorkshire is full of amazing walks and views to match. Rose cottage was an excellent base for my exploration.

Rose Cottage was an amazing place to stay, very central to the town and within walking distance to lovely walks and hikes!

This is an absolute little gem of a place!

Well equipped with everything and i mean everything you need for your stay however long it may be. My husband and i were thrilled with how lovely it was. The location is absolutely fantastic for what ever you need, the main cobbled street is 5 minute walk away with restaurants and bars for everyone’s taste. If you like walking then this is great for you lots of lovely walks and hikes you can access easily. Definitely worth a visit in my eyes

AMAZING, My husband and I had a fantastic week in this beautiful cottage.

The bed was so comfortable and had plenty of spare blankets if needed. The bath was amazing. We stayed during valentine's and my husband doesn't have a romantic bone in his body but the beautiful bath brought that out in him

There is plenty of parking close to the cottage, it is easy walking from the cottage into and around Haworth, and the cottage has everything you need for such a comfortable and relaxed stay.

This cottage was truely enjoyable- so full of vibrant character, immaculately clean and comfortable; In a perfect quiet location just steps from walks into the wild or walks into Haworth, then brilliant areas to explore so near - and owners very welcoming too!

Had a truly lovely, relaxing stay at the cosy Rose Cottage.

Every comfort has been catered for. The location is excellent, with a short stroll to the main street and amenities. We stayed mid-October and were grateful for the log burner by which we could sip hot chocolate after long walks in beautiful countryside. Highly recommended!

Nice clean cottage, good location for walking into town.

Warm and cosy.

Lovely cottagey feel and look, from the stone flagged floor to the roll top bath, very welcome after rainy walks on the moors.

There are books, musical instruments and art materials for peaceful evenings, and even a complementary bottle of Prosecco. Well located for countryside, independent and interesting little shops and the Bronte parsonage museum. Great for a solo traveller like me. I recommend it.

Rose Cottage is the nicest holiday cottage I have ever stayed in.

It felt like home as soon as I opened the door. The cottage is beautifully decorated and furnished, Andy and Jane have thought of everything needed to make sure you have a relaxing stay. The bathroom is especially lovely, perfect for a relaxing soak at the end of the day. The location is a nice short walking distance from the cobbled high street . Rose Cottage is an all round winner for me, I will definitely be back

Absolutely loved this short break at Rose Cottage in Haworth.

It was our first time visiting the area & it didn’t disappoint. The cottage was super cosy, spotlessly clean & had everything we needed for our stay including a very comfortable bed! The piano was a wonderful touch & brought some wonderful memories back with hours of playing. A very detailed information booklet property helped with using cooker, the log burner & ordering food from the local Indian restaurant which was tasty! A 5 minute stroll to the bustling street filled with cafes, pubs, restaurants & shops selling anything from chocolate to beautiful artwork. We were spoilt for choice. The hosts were both super responsive & we had the pleasure of meeting them on our last night. Very friendly & lovely people. Everyone we talked to had the same friendly attitude. We’re already coming back for our anniversary! Thank you for such a happy experience.

Enjoyed our stay.

Owners very welcoming, responded promptly to any queries and appreciated wine and fresh flowers. Quiet and neighbours we met friendly. Close to town centre and lots of walks from the door. Main dislike was the bath with handheld shower as very wasteful of water and messy. Small creaky bed but mattress was comfortable, we brought our own pillows. Visited Riddleston Hall and Cliffe Castle nearby and walked some of the Leeds to Liverpool canal.

A perfect hideaway for a relaxing break.

Very comfortable, modern/rustic. A 'welcome to our cottage' email, prior to our stay, gave a very personal touch, as well as lots of useful information . Would certainly recommend.

This is a very cosy cottage for those wishing to spend time on creative pursuits or out walking on the beautiful moors.

The wood-burning stove and the roll-top bath are very nice features. The property would be quite challenging for those with any mobility issues, but it really is a nice place.

Rose Cottage was exactly what we were looking for as a place to see in the new year.

Within easy walking distance of the centre of Haworth yet far enough out to be peaceful. The Sykes instructions said that parking was 10 minutes away but this was more like 10 seconds - very easy and stress free! I particularly enjoyed playing a bit of Billy Joel on the piano!

The cottage is super and the log burner fantastic.

Owners really helpful and friendly with good communication. Nice bottle of wine as a welcome as well. We may come back sometime but hopefully not when the weather is Storm Darragh!! But a lovely weekend in a beautiful place. Thanks

What a lovely cottage.

Everything clean and tidy. Bed and sofa comfortable. Kitchen well equipped owners very helpful. 10 minutes walk to the beautiful cobbled high street with shops and pubs. Walk on the moors drop the cottage including Bronte falls and wuthering heights. Shibden hall (Gentleman Jack) a short drive

We had a lovely short stay at Rose Cottage.

It is a great little hide-away, while at the same time being close to the centre of Howarth. Everything was just as described in the information on the booking site. If you want to be creative, there is an abundance of art material and a piano and guitar. We were out and about most of the time and it was a pleasure to come back to. No TV wasn’t a problem as the WiFi was excellent and in the end we didn’t need it anyway. Great hospitality from the hosts, plenty of helpful information given and lots of guides in a folder at the property. The bottle of wine and fresh flowers was a much appreciated extra. Would definitely stay again in this sweet, cosy cottage.

We spent a wonderful three nights at Rose Cottage, it was spotlessly clean, Jane’s Artwork is stunning, the bathroom is gorgeous, the bed really comfortable and the kitchen well equipped.

The added addition of a guitar and piano was lovely, It’s a short walk to the nearest pub and just a little further to the village and an added bonus a great chip shop nearby. We really want to go back sometime, in fact I didn’t want to leave. Thank you Jane and Andy from Lindsay and Gary

The cottage has so much character and is in such a great location within the beautiful village of Haworth. The owners sent a really warm welcome email including lots of great tips for things to do in the local area. The bath is amazing! It was a treat to play the piano again after many years. We had a wonderful stay, the cottage had everything we needed (we took our own small tv as we didn’t want to miss watching the Euros! Although there was a great choice of picturesque local pubs also showing the games) we would highly recommend staying here, thanks Andy and Jane :)

The location was very good as it was quiet but close to shops and other facilities which is very valuable for those who do not have a car. Liked the ethical stance of the owner and were pleased not to have the cottage spoilt by a large TV. It had most of the things we needed. Would recommend.

We had some beautiful weather and walks during our stay. The property was very clean and had some unique features. It was ideally located for shops, pubs & days out. We very much like the piano & guitar and were greatly impressed with the art equipment provided. The lack of a television was of no consequence but the lack of a freezer or ice compartment were. The garden not being private did not bother us but the fact the outside furniture was not suited to lounging or eating alfresco were a huge drawback during the sunshine. The cottage lends itself to Autumn or winter with a fabulous log burner. The bathroom and bedroom are very romantic but the bed is extremely uncomfortable. All in all we enjoyed our stay.

The bath is wonderful and we loved our stay. The bed is a tad uncomfortable though - wooden slatted bases tend to press on areas of the body. Apart from that it was simply gorgeous. Thank you.

Just 5 mins walk from Haworth Main Street, this was a brilliant and quiet location.

Clean and tidy and a huge bath to die for, the owners Andy and Jane were excellent with their communications. A complementary bottle of wine on arrival, it was the perfect cottage for our.weekend break. Parking just yards away and easy access to the Brontë walks. Good pubs in Haworth for your evening entertainment.

We had a fantastic stay at Rose Cottage in this stunning part of the country.

The cottage is ideal for escaping the hustle and bustle: peaceful, cosy, with lots of ways to create and take inspiration from the surrounds. There’s a wonderful piano, a guitar, art materials, games and books, and the cottage has a comforting feel from the moment you walk through the door. There are footpaths onto Penistone Hill and the moors just steps away, and the centre of Haworth is close by, with plenty of pubs, cafes, shops, and restaurants to sample. If you are a creative looking for a place to focus on your craft, a couple looking for a romantic getaway, a lover of the outdoors seeking adventure on your doorstep, Rose Cottage has it all. A special mention to for Andy and Jane. Their contact before our stay was second to none. I also highly recommend you check out Pier Pipers Pianos. As well as a chance to tinkle the ivories, they host regular music nights (think the West Yorkshire Tiny Desk Concert!) We had a wonderful evening watching the supremely talented La’l Tethera, and it’s a great way to scratch beneath the surface of this fascinating place.

Absolutely loved it.

Not sure if this is a correct description but to me it was very bohemian. Can't play any musical instruments but had fun trying with the piano and guitar. The place is so cosy especially of an evening with the log fire on. Bed was cosy, bath is fantastic. Main street and the local coop are both only 10 min walk if that .Lovely touch with the welcome pack and the communication was brilliant with Andy. Would definitely return.

Great weekend in this lovely cottage.

It had everything we needed and was warm and cosy despite the weather. We loved the piano and guitar and not having a television to distract us! The location was perfect for us to visit local family. We loved Haworth which we were unfamiliar with and really hope we can visit again to explore more of the area. We really felt we had been on holiday although it was only a long weekend! Thank you!

What a little gem this cottage is !

!! We had the most amazing stay at rose cottage with everything we could of asked for, so peaceful relaxing and clean. You really couldn’t ask for anymore, tea and coffee ready for your arrival even a bottle of fizz !! The hairdryer was a lifesaver as I forgot mine. We sat relaxing in front of the toasty log burner which had everything you needed to get going so easily too. Upstairs the most gorgeous vintage bath which was the perfect touch. Haworth has so much to offer and see it’s just beautiful, we can’t wait to visit again and will definitely be coming back to rose cottage .

Haworth is atmospheric and so interesting with plenty to see and do too.

Cottage was quirky with alot of nice features.

Log fire and bath were great . Could be cleaner , floor boards in places were dirty and there were cobwebs on some lighting also found a snail in the bedroom . The biggest disappointment was the bed we found it very uncomfortable, unfortunately we didnt get much sleep , tired with backache all the time we were there .

We loved the unique charm of Rose Cottage.

It was certainly clean, comfortable and quiet. The welcoming roses were beautiful and the Prosecco appreciated. It's situated within walking distance of the beautiful moors, the historic Howarth Parsonage, interesting local shops and a variety of pubs and cafes plus, the steam railway station and a fantastic train ride. A very enjoyable few days exploring areas of West Yorkshire on foot, car and train :)

Rose Cottage is lovely accommodation with everything that you could need.

In an ideal place to explore Howarth and the surrounding countryside. We just parked up on arrival and then went everywhere on foot or using local transport which gave a much needed rest from driving. Great holiday spot!

Nice location.

Nice property. Functional. Nice bathroom. However we struggled at first to get the central heating system to work properly. Quite a cold property. More needs to be said about the path leading up to the house as it is old and uneven. House needs better curtains especially to combat draughty windows. Not the most comfortable bed or pillows. Garden is misleading especially from the photos and needs a tidy up. Overall a nice house but just needs the owner to sit down inside and see how it looks and works and then maybe tweek a few things.

Me and my partner stayed for a few nights and had the loveliest experience!

The cottage was so clean and tidy when we arrived and the games and art supplies were an added bonus (we played scrabble every night and tried some painting although we’re not natural artists)! Andy and Jane were responsive and lovely and I really hope we can come again in the future! I loved seeing all the art around the cottage and learning about Haworth’s sustainable commitment, plus the cottage was the perfect distance from the centre of Haworth. Thanks again for having us!!

The cottage was beautiful in a great location with plenty of parking which was fantastic given how busy Haworth can be during the holiday season.

The property had everything we needed, was comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The welcome pack and email we received before our stay was very helpful. Haworth itself is wonderful and full of history, definately a place to visit again.

.a wonderful quiet property very close to Haworth centre and amenities. We would highly recommend both the property and its location.

The property was charming but not practical it took 45 minutes to work out how to switch the oven on and there wasn’t anything good enough to wash the dishes with.

Also no freezer for ice or food. Log burner was a nightmare to clean ash out of and had to go and buy an iron to press some clothes. 600 pound for a week and only sleeps 2 !! Also the Indian sheet at the top of the landing was just there to hide the wallpaper pealing from behind

The owners, Jane and Andy, could not have been more helpful - they made it a most perfect stay for us. Rose Cottage is a beautifully calming cottage to stay in; small, but wonderfully set out, with neighbours who are friendly and a garden that is stunning. (I highly recommend having a good look through the garden, as there are lots and lots of subtle, beautiful flowers, herbs, and colours to inject). There’s also a finely-tuned piano and guitar within the cottage, alongside a wood-burning fire and a cosy sofa to relax. It’s heavenly. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Rose Cottage. However, a small word of warning - the bath: you will not want to get out of it. It is stunning and perfect. You’ve been warned.

We loved staying in this cottage - the perfect home away from home.

The bath was the best after a long day of hiking. Especially enjoyed the creative touches around the home and the fact that there wasn't a TV, allowed you to properly relax and disconnect from the stresses of the world. The piano and art materials were a wonderful touch and it was lovely to see the hosts artwork around the cottage. We loved our stay here, thank you!!

Lovely small back to back cottage on edge of Haworth.

Going there is like stepping back in time. Although updated, it retains a lot of the original features with some nice decorative touches.Not for people who want luxury, but if you want a quiet haven in a hectic world, this could be it.

Character property. Well positioned.

Rose Cottage was a warm and comfortable retreat to return to in the evening and we loved the character of the place and pictures and musical facilities.

The information pack and OS map were particularly well presented. The views of the moors from upstairs are breathtakingly and are different each time you look out. The location for the Bronte Parsonage Museum is excellent, and for wider access to the Moors and the round walk to Top Withens Farm and trig point 444.

Lovely Victorian cottage beautifully restored with many original features.

Warm and comfortable: Jane's artwork and Rita's stained glass front door gave a fantastic ambience that really made us feel at home. Despite being a back-to-back, sound insulation is very good so could barely hear any noise from neighbours, those of whom we met were very friendly. So I was able to play the piano and accordion provided without disturbing anyone. No TV - no problem: it was great to escape from the rest of the world. Haworth has plenty of eateries, some of which we patronised on several evenings, but the well-equipped kitchen was good for eating in.

The Accommodation is very comfortable, full of character, very clean, nicely appointed.

A beautiful cottage nestled amongst traditional back to back cottages in a quiet residential area.

Only a couple of minutes walk to the foot of Main Street with an array of shops, cafes and pubs. The cottage is beautifully decorated and comfortable, fabulous views of the moors from the bedroom. We decided on this cottage because of the piano! My daughter enjoyed playing the piano, guitar and worked out how to play piano accordian

Rose Cottage has been beautifully and sensitively renovated so that it retains a great deal of the period character and features, whilst benefiting from a contemporary aesthetic.

The locality offers the warmth and vibrancy of Haworth, access to the moors and 'Bronte country' on the doorstep and cultural trips a little further afield, all of which we managed to accomplish in our short 5 days. The owners are thoughtful and welcoming and they communicated very well, responding to our requests immediately. We highly recommend Rose Cottage.

Just got back from a perfect week staying in this super cottage.

Andy and Jane had put so much thought into the decor and comfort factor, not to mention the cottage's immaculate presentation. Jane's superb art graces the walls creating a beautiful ambience, so fitting to Haworth's character. The whole place has a really cosy and traditional feel with an 'arty' and musical ambience. We particularly loved bathing in the deep roll topped bath, cosying up on the comfy sofa and enjoying the ab fab view from the bedroom. The kitchen was so convenient and easy to use and the cottage was warmed by central heating with a wood burning stove, if so desired. We were Andy and Jane's first guests and were greeted with chilled Prosecco, beautiful Roses, milk, tea and coffee..we couldn't have asked for more. We particularly felt the history of this mill cottage which somehow resonated still. We really didn't want to leave
