This is a fabulous cottage in a unique place.

My second visit and just as brilliant as the first. Heather, the host is truly one in a million. Walks from the door, cake in the kitchen, stunning views, cows and sheep, peace and quiet!!! Totally love it!

This is an amazing cottage , exceptionally clean and well equipped and very comfortable .

Its location is stunning , peaceful and yet ideally placed for exploring the Grassington area and beyond . Heather was a very friendly host and offered lots of information and some lovely treats to welcome us. Thank you ! We'd definitely recommend and return .

We could not fault Pogles Wood Cottage at all.

It was clean, well equipped and very comfortable. The location was wonderful, with views to die for. Several pubs and hotels within walking distance all serving food. Skipton a short drive away for your main supplies. A town, with markets 4 times a week I think, supermarkets and lovrly shops.

Pogleswood cottage is a lovely comfy property which has been finished to a high standard.

The cottage is situated in a great location with easy access to Grassington with its good pubs and many local walks. I would highly recommend this cottage and we will be returning next year.

Everything about this cottage is excellent.

For example, rather than a pile of leaflets showing places to visit, there are photographs with a brief description of what to see. This was my third visit.

2nd time we have stayed here, as lovely as we remember.

We were greeted warmly on arrival by the owner, Heather who talked us through the essentials and left us with some delicious homemade treats.

The cottage is very well appointed with everything you might need during your stay, it is warm, comfortable and spotlessly clean. An excellent base for walking locally ( Linton, Grassington) or driving further afield into the Dales. Definitely planning a return visit and I can recommend this lovely cottage.

It is very cosy and comfortable, with everything that you need, and Heather, the owner, is extremely helpful and actually left a magnificent welcome pack of mainly home made treats. There are plenty of walks right from the door, and excellent pubs, with great food, are just a few minutes drive away. We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Pogles Wood Cottage and would certainly recommend it.

We arrived at Pogle Wood cottage a few days before Christmas, for a short break over the Xmas period.

Heather the owner welcomed us at the cottage and showed us round The cottage was very clean, very warm and cosy. It was well equipped. Stunning views over the Dales from the cottage, good walks right from the cottage, and a ‘red kite’, could often be spotted circling above. Local pubs offer excellent meals, and all are dog friendly and welcoming It was a perfect Christmas, stress free and quiet.. Thoroughly recommend.

Heather is so friendly and her welcome basket is awesome. Barn is so cosy, clean and comfortable and is equipped with everything we needed and more. A fabulous place, and a great base for exploring the local area.

We've stayed at Pogles Wood a number of times and it never disappoints.

Heather has created a cosy and functional cottage full of everything you need for your holiday. A welcome pack of home baked goodies is a wonderful treat. It's ideal placed for the local walks and pub The Fountain for a great meal. Grassington home of All Creatures great and small is a 10 min drive to enjoy the cobbles streets and independent shops. Can't recommend Pogles Wood enough. Thank you Heather for your attention detail

Pogles Wood is a lovely warm comfortable cottage in an area of beautiful countryside.

It has an outstanding view across the walk . The cottage has everything you need for a perfect holiday. The hosts are always available if you have any queries. Heather is attentive and thoughtful with her homemade goodies. We will certainly recommend and return

A beautiful location in the Yorkshire Dales with lovely walks from the doorstep. We have stayed in many Sykes cottages over the years, Pogles Wood is definitely one of the best. And Heather, the owner is so welcoming and nothing is too much trouble for her. We have already booked to return next year, as there is so much to see & do in the area!

Beautiful cottage in a stunning location.

Heather, the owner, was lovely and greeted us on time with tasty homemade treats. She gave us a full run down of the house, how it works and some decent local knowledge and advice. The cottage was very well equipped with good quality kitchen equipment, clean bathrooms and comfortable beds and sitting area. Ample parking for 2 cars and garden with great aspects. No need for cars here, you can explore the local area direct from the house.

Easy access to lots of walks to nearby pretty villages and the river Wharfe. We didnt want to go home!

This is a lovely retreat, converted from a barn to a high standard.

Very comfortable, fabulous views with lots of riverside and countryside walks close by. We'll be going back again. The owners made us feel very welcome and left us some very tasty goodies to enjoy on our arrival.

Fabulous cottage in a wonderful location.

Heather, the lovely owner greeted us on arrival after easy communication and provided us with really useful information regarding walks, places to park etc. So many walks and places to visit within a short distance of the cottage. The electric car charging point was a first as well - perfect for hybrid and EV drivers! Comfortable, clean and well-equipped with quality goods and stunning views! The home made cake was an added bonus :-) Would thoroughly recommend - the only slight negative was that the wifi was a bit iffy - but just about adequate :-) I will be returning to the Yorkshire Dales for sure!

We had a fantastic 4 night break with our family Rottweiler as well.

Location superb, comfortable, everything you needed. Close by to grassington and a spar shop with petrol station. Owner very welcoming. Would highly recommend but very popular so book quick.

Our second visit and my daughter has also been. Great location for walks. Everything in the cottage you could want and a few nice treats on arrival. I cannot fault the cottage.

We had a small issue when we arrived. Was sorted by the owner quickly and beyond what we expected. Always impressed when the owner cares so much!! and she was available if we needed her. Some lovely cakes and other items in the welcome pack as well. Was a really cold week but the cottage was nice and warm all the time.

Lovely stay at this cottage.

Had everything we needed for a girls holiday (spent walking and relaxing). Heather was kind enough to leave lots of baked goods and some fresh milk. Cottage was spotless and in a great area for the peaks & walks around Grassington.

Wonderful cottage has everything you need and added extras (cakes milk etc ) such a lovely touch.

The details in the book of things to do is in incredible we found it so helpful. Will always be a special place for us as our little boys first holiday

Fantastic cottage at a great location. Property spotless with everything you could need for a great holiday break. Heather is a lovely host and provided a welcome basket of fruit and snacks along with delicious homemade cakes. Wouldn’t hesitate to book another stay!

This was our 2nd time at Pogles Wood Cottage after discovering it last year.

A peaceful and remote well-equipped barn conversion with all mod cons. If you like beautiful Vista’s and solitude on your holidays you would be hard pressed to find better. North Yorkshire is just so lovely, and Pogles Wood Cottage is a little jewel in this landscape. Plenty of places to walk and places to visit within a reasonable distance of the cottage. Thank You Heather and John the owners for making our stay possible.

Absolutely beautiful!

!! The cottage, the location, everything. Heather was lovely and the cakes/welcome pack was the best ever. Beds/ pillows/duvet gave a fantastic night's sleep and I didn't want to get out of the shower! So many beautiful places to visit on the doorstep while giving the best peace and quiet ever. We would not hesitate to go back. If I had to say anything negative, it would be that maybe the sauce pans and oven trays could do with replacing but it's a tiny thing. I can highly recommend staying here.

This was our second visit and we enjoyed it very much.

The weather was kind and it is a great centre from which to walk and explore.The only problem was that the bed in the end room(blue) was not very comfortable according to my friend.The cottage is warm and cosy and the welcome cakes and goodies plus milk and water were very welcome.

The property location was great, tranquil, good parking really secure for the dog, great walks form the front door, views amazing,kitchen layout great, beds and bathrooms great, the main problem, was the lack of heating.

On arriving on the friday, the cottage became cold, on contacting the owners, who controlled the heating from their phone, they tried twice, over the next two days, informing us that the heating was working, but the temperatures was well below what they had set, so for the rest of our holiday,( some nights the outside temperature dropped below -2) we had to use a small oil filled electric radiator, which kept the area around us faily comforatble, as long as your feet where not in contact with the floor, but this left the bedrooms and bathrooms extremly chilly ( 8 degrees). We were not the only couple to state the problem with the heating, as we were informed this by the owner, on our arrival, Due to the heating problem, and the owners not correcting the heating system, we would not visit again, we do not like hot houses, but prefer to be able to increase the heating when arriving back from a walk, and be able to close down once warm, but we had to put up with a cold cottage for 7 dsays.

Superb holiday accommodation in a wonderful setting.

We were met by Heather and the welcome pack left by the host was great. Lovely popular pub in Linton with good food and beer. Grassington nearby if you need shops/cafes etc. Had a fabulous week and would definitely recommend this accommodation.

The barn has been converted to a very high standard.

It has every facility to provide for your needs and we really enjoyed our stay here. The property is located in beautiful countryside looking across Wharfedale and there are plenty of walks for all abilities. The owner provided some nice touches like milk and water in the fridge to get you started. We were met by the owner when we arrived who explained some of the house rules (not many). We felt comfortable immediately and she made us feel at home. Thank you.

Second visit in two months and as good as ever.

Fabulously cosy house in the snow riddled hills. Lovely host and nice pubs made for a comfy weekend. Recommended. See you again in January 2025.

What a wonderful cottage perched on the hillside overlooking the valley.

The owners have transformed this old barn into a lovely holiday cottage. The cottage is clean and comfortable to a very high standard and everything has been considered and provided . Heather is attentive and thoughtful and her amazing welcome goodies were a very kind thought. We will certainly be booking again Thank you Fiona and Keith

Lovely cottage and facilities.

Only problem was the heating. It was a cold weekend just gone and we could not heat downstairs to a reasonable temperature. Other than that the conversion is absolutely spot on. We slept very well and enjoyed lovely cake and treats which were much appreciated. We have booked again for Jan 2025. p.s. The views and local walks are spot on.

Pogles Wood Cottage is a fantastic, unique cottage, in a wonderful elevated position on a hillside.

The owners have very sensitively transformed this barn into a cosy home. Both bedrooms have an en suite shower and they have even found space for a downstairs loo. Everything is super clean and very comfortable. The welcome pack is the best I’ve ever seen in a cottage, the homemade cakes being amazing. Heather, the owner, is so lovely, she welcomed me personally, and I felt after a short while I’d known her forever! I thoroughly enjoyed my week, and very much look forward to returning next year.

If you like a quiet location this excellent barn conversion is for you in the Yorkshire dales countryside.

There are good pubs within walking distance Linton/Burnsall, there is also a decent shop with butchers at Threshfield. Bolton Abbey worth a visit & very dog friendly as is the whole area. A beautiful barn conversion well equipped in an isolated position with stunning views over the dales. Heather the owner was welcoming and helpful and provided a much appreciated welcome basket. We really enjoyed sitting in the garden watching the wildlife. I do not think you could find a better property to stay and enjoy a holiday.

Just loved this stunning cottage, set in a stunning position with lovely views of the Yorkshire Dales.

The cottage was clean , comfortable and the beds were very comfy . It was decorated to a high standard ...........well done Heather. Superb walking from the door if you like long walks but easy to drive into Grassington and Skipton. Loved watching the wildlife especially the hares and listening to the curlews and lapwings. My friend and I spent a week in this beautifully situated cottage and have never been more comfortable.

The design and standard of furnishing was top notch. So peaceful with just the sheep around us and the bird life is amazing. It is within easy reach of Grassington and Skipton and many walks from the door. We hope to return soon.

Starting with a lovely welcome from Heather who showed us around & told us about the area ,to the gorgeous cottage which was so clean ,warm and had everything we needed for our stay. It has been done to a high standard and is in such a gorgeous location. We sat & watched the wildlife & sheep ,and we went on some really good walks with Monty. The welcome goodies were also delicious

Absolutely perfect.

EVERYTHING was there, including scrumptious biscuits and cake! On the top of a hill with fabulous views, top quality furniture and fittings, faultless.

We chose this cottage because it provides for electric car charging.

This worked brilliantly for us, meaning we never had to look for a charge point when we were out. Visitors should be reminded that they need to take their own cable. Very attentive and welcoming hosts. We would use this cottage again.

The cottage was absolutely perfect.

In fact, the photos didn't do it justice. To be in such a lovely peaceful location with no neighbours at all was heaven! The terrace was a sunny spot with a beautiful view. And inside we were extremely comfortable - super beds, great showers, quality appliances. We think it is probably the best cottage we have stayed in - thank you so much.

The cottage was immaculate. The only suggestion would be to include some information on local facilities, eg nearest pub, doctors, vets, etc (perhaps there was but we didn't see it). Otherwise ten out of ten (the brochure doesn't do it justice).
