A beautiful cottage in the North Yorkshire Dales.

The pictures online don’t do it justice to be honest. Kathryn the owner was very helpful and only a phone call away should we have needed her. The cottage is well equipped and comfortable, a wood burning fire for those cosy evenings. Fresh flowers in the living room on our arrival, a carton of milk in the fridge and supplies for a hot drink. Downstairs bedroom ideal for those with mobility needs. The nearest main town Leyburn is approximately 7 miles from the cottage and has a large shop called Campbell’s and sons which has everything you need including a butchers and green grocers department with a wide variety of meats, pies etc. There is also a co-op, bakers and several pubs. The Wensleydale creamery well worth a visit, Richmond and the castle, Aysgarth falls and a ride across the dales pass buttertubs pass (fantastic views). If you want the proper Yorkshire Dales experience Eastburn Cottage is ideal and would definitely recommend as it’s lovely. We had a wonderful stay.

We spent a great week at Eastburn Cottage.

Check-in was simple and directions to the property were clear. The whole cottage was clean, tidy and very comfortable. I slept better than at home and enjoyed hearing the birds singing every morning, starting with a tawny owl just before dawn. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything you would expect to find. The downstairs bedroom with ensuite (shower chair and raised toilet seat available if required ) was perfect for our 90yr old mum.I recommend the walk to West Bolton, signposted from the very end of the road, where you find Cauldron Falls and a lovely tea shop. We were lucky with the weather and enjoyed sitting out in the garden. Kathryn is an attentive host and nothing is too much trouble. We would definitely consider booking again to explore the area further.
