Description

Pateley Bridge 0.3 miles.

This lovely Victorian, stone-built mid-terrace cottage is situated on the outskirts of the popular town of Pateley Bridge in Nidderdale, ten miles from Grassington.

With lovely views over the town, this stylish property is ideal for a family, couples or group of friends looking to explore this scenic part of the Yorkshire Dales.

The owners have lovingly furnished the cottage throughout to provide a first-class property.

The sitting room has comfortable sofas in front of a warming open fire, ideal for curling up on after a busy day of exploring.

The kitchen is very well-appointed for cooking up delicious meals which can be enjoyed around the dining table, or on sunny days step outside onto the patio and enjoy dining alfresco as you soak up the stunning views over the town and to the dales beyond.

Also on the ground floor is a contemporary bathroom with a small utility room next to it.

Upstairs, via the original stone staircase, there are two delightful bedrooms; a double and a twin.

The charming twin room also enjoys views over the village.

A short stroll from the property, across the river, is the delightful Pateley Bridge with its range of traditional pubs, restaurants and gift shops and interesting Nidderdale Museum giving insight into the local history and culture.

For a special occasion or just a lovely lunchtime or evening visit, why not walk along the river Nidd in the beautiful valley to the Sportsman’s Arms with views of the valley for an evening drink or delicious meal.

Lace up those walking boots and discover the Nidderdale Way, which can be accessed from the doorstep, or the fascinating Brimham Rocks.

Alternatively visit the majestic Fountains Abbey, a World Heritage Site and its awe-inspiring water garden and deer park at Studley Royal and enjoy the peaceful setting and walking trails..

Cyclists can enjoy revisiting the 2014 Tour de France route which passed nearby or explore the quieter roads of this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The picturesque village of Grassington is within driving distance as are the towns of Skipton and Harrogate, RHS Harlow Carr and the Himalayan Garden & Sculpture Park..

A wonderful cottage in a well-located area.

We had a great stay at Swift Cottage which is perfectly located for a walking holiday in this lovely area.

We didn't need to use the car at all during our stay. The accommodation is very warm and comfortable and beautifully maintained and the information provided by Ruth, the owner, was extremely helpful. Many thanks for the welcome pack and we will definitely be returning for another visit so that we can carry on exploring Nidderdale.

The property is situated a short walk away from the local amenities, including the Royal Oak pub, Olley's restaurant, supermarket and garage.

The passage way to the house is narrow and would be best approached taking in the wing mirrors as suggested by the owner. The house was well fitted out throughout the property. Thank you for all the information left and the welcome pack.

We loved staying in Swift Cottage, Pateley Bridge, it's so well situated with shops within walking distance, a lovely warm and cosy mid terrace cottage, beautifully decorated with comfortable furnishing, a lovely patio and stunning views of the surrounding countryside, and off road parking.

It has everything you need for a holiday in Yorkshire.
