This is a lovely cottage and is very much gives the Yorkshire holiday experience.

You really feel at home with lovely decorative touches cushions and sofa throws. The facilities within the cottage are excellent with a well equipped kitchen with a great range of pans, dishes and utensils, fridge and a fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing and tumble dryer. The kitchen extras like foil for the grill pan tray to salt and pepper and a few spices were a fantastic extra that makes the experience enjoyable.

A lovely cottage, with a good kitchen/dining area which worked well for us as a family.

The beds were comfy and the linen fresh. Let down by the poor level of cleanliness of the front room. Whilst acknowledging it is a dog friendly property the front room still had lots of dog hairs and also had fleas and the rug needs replacing due to the smell.

Lovely quirky old cottage in a beautiful Yorkshire Dales village.

It just needs a few final touches and to be perfect. The windows were the main problem. Very old sash windows with secondary glazing that didn't work as it didn't fit properly. Some of it had been removed possibly by the previous holiday maker in an attempt to open the windows in the heatwave. Otherwise just a bit of flakey paintwork and ricketiness expected in such an old house. Perfect base and house for hiking in the dales with utility/boot room. I would say that is the ideal use for a stay in this property. WiFi not great but you are out in the sticks so we were not that bothered. Beds were clean and comfortable. Rooms were spacious. Farmhouse kitchen huge, well stocked for equipment we just needed more large glasses, ( soda glasses/pints - thirsty work walking! ) and a washing up bowl really otherwise sorted. (I'm old fashioned and don't always want to use the dishwasher- the large wine glasses were tricky to load in it and I broke one- sorry!) Friendly village. Local walks and a good village pub a stones throw away. Perfect for our little dog as although not a container garden there is a public footpath into fields straight from the back of the house or walks through the village with lots of dog bins provided and benches to sit and enjoy views if you go across the village green.
