What guests are saying
We had a lovely week in the cottage.
It was good to find it kitted out for self catering although we ate out too at the brilliant Indian at the railway station, The Ash Tree and The Rockingham Arms. Thankfully, trains were running - our reason for booking, and we travelled easily to York and Scarborough enjoying the freedom of the rails. Excellent situation for loads of exploring and we certainly hope to return.
A lovely cottage, clean, well maintained and well stocked with everything you are likely to need.
If we are in the area again we will be very happy to stay here.
Having stayed at this property 3 years ago.
We were disappointed with the accommodation this time and will not book it in the future. There are lots of very large cobwebs throughout the property. The bathroom needs at least one hook behind the door and the extractor needs cleaning out. Inadequate quantity of towels. Too small and not very absorbent.
