14 of us ages from 76 years to 18 months .

Everything we needed was available. Very clean and plenty of toilets/bathrooms. We all thought we would definitely stay there again

Clean and well maintained accommodation in a nice town, with in reach of beautiful walking paths and hikes.

Plenty of space in property for our group of 13.

Parking near property a bit tricky at times. Road noisy at nighttime when had to leave windows open due to the heatwave. Doors in kitchen tricky to close but apart from that a great place to stay in a lovely town and plenty of things to do nearby.

The property is in a great location in the heart of Skipton.

The house is warm with a constant supply of hot water. The kitchen is very well equipped with cooking utensils and pots and pans. The sitting room is cosy and a good size for a party of 10 to 12. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Ideal for our group of 12+1, plenty of space, great dining room where we could all eat and chat, good combination of double and twin bedrooms. Tesco literally round the corner, only a short walk to town & canal. Parking was fine, price was good , kitchen and lounge area plenty big enough Ideal

The house was warm and comfortable with just about everything we needed.

We had a couple of minor issues, which we dealt with quickly. Skipton itself is lovely, and we want to go back to the area again, as there is so much more to see.

We had a fabulous weekend and would love to return in the summer to take advantage of the cute outdoor space and massive bbq …. Highly recommended

Craven House is ideally situated about 4 minutes walk from the town centre.

Also easy walking distance to the station. A big Tesco is just round the corner! We couldn't always park in front of the house, but there was enough parking in nearby roads for our 3 cars. There are a lot of stairs (up to the front door and to each floor). The owner is very friendly and helpful. The lounge has lovely comfortable sofas, and the dining room is perfect for a big party. The little ones loved the basement games room. We had a wonderful family holiday with 12 of us.

This is a fantastic house for a big group.

The living room, dining room and kitchen are very spacious. There were plenty of bathrooms and the house was very clean. It is only a few minutes walk in to Skipton. We would definitely visit again.

Lovely holiday home for a family get together there was 10 of us ages 4 to 82 and had a brilliant time the house was big and clean all the rooms were very nicely furnished.

Lots to do in Skipton and places near by.would certainly recommend .

Don’t get me wrong, the house is lovely … however, there are some things which require attention.

There are 2 fridges, both of which have parts which are broken, the water cooler on the large fridge/freezer doesn’t work - thank goodness - because the bottled water we added had black particles floating in it from the mechanism. There were crumbs on the toaster! The beds were really comfortable and the location is ideal. You just need to pay more attention to detail. The grandchildren found a dvd they wanted to watch but the case was empty. Small things, but important nevertheless.

Perfect property for our weekend away.

We were 3 families so the number of bathrooms was particularly useful! Lots of space, handy location for the centre of Skipton and great to be so close to the supermarket. Wouldn't hesitate to come back!

Lovely house.

Lots of cutlery, crockery to accommodate large group. All amenities worked well. Had a lovely time :)

Great house which was perfect for our large family gathering for Christmas.

Craven House is extremely well equipped, warm and comfortable. It had been nicely decorated for Christmas and contact with the owner was really good beforehand. It’s a short walk into Skipton either along the canal or on various roads. It’s is on a busy main road so wouldn’t work for people who like rural getaways. Parking outside wasn’t always possible but there’s lots of other roads nearby to park on.

We had a fantastic stay at Craven house for our daughter’s wedding.

The house was absolutely perfect for a large family with everything you could want and loads of space for everyone. The bedrooms are a good size and the fact that there are plenty of bathrooms worked perfectly for us. The large dining room was great for a family meal the night before the wedding and then perfect for the bride and bridesmaids to get ready in the morning. The brides pre-wedding photos were beautiful due to the original character of the house. There is plenty of parking nearby and I can’t recommend this property enough if you are looking for somewhere for a large group, walking distance into Skipton and a short drive to the lovely countryside.

Very enjoyable stay, we were a party of 12, 3 generations, grandparents, children and grandchildren.

Only downside is no guarantee of finding a parking place outside or close to the property. Apart from that we would go again.

This was our second visit to Craven House.

It was just as we remembered. The house is lovely, spacious and very characterful, it is however a little tired, redecoration and some general maintaining of the back yard required. On a positive note, the size of the house and distance from the town centre is fantastic. Kitchen is very well equipped, beds comfortable and lots of wc/bathrooms. Plenty of room for large groups of friends or family

A good property with plenty of space for everyone.

Perfectly convenient to get around Skipton easily. Clean and tidy with plenty of equipment in the kitchen. We enjoyed the courtyard garden. It is a little tired and there is a bit of road noise but absolutely nothing to complain about.

A great holiday property for a large group, a large kitchen and dining room, lots of cutlery etc good size bedrooms and plenty of bathrooms facilities, we had a great time.

Wi-Fi wasn’t available in all rooms which was a disappointment for the youngsters. Skipton is central in the Dales we got out and about every day, even though the weather wasn’t completely on our side

Everything was as it said.

This is a Town House so there is traffic, outside space at a premium and the stairs are steep. This did not detract from our enjoyment of the holiday. Our group of 11 walkers were happy with the central location near rail and bus station. The showers/baths excellent. The aga certainly works! The dining room was large enough for us all to sit for breakfast/dinner.

Really enjoyed our stay in Skipton.

The situation of the property gave us access to many different dales which was great as we were out walking every day. The property was really spacious and plenty of baths and showers. Great to have so much china and cutlery.

Great size property, lovely and warm and so convenient for the town centre.

We were a group of 10 female friends so the number of bathrooms/en suites was really good for us. We all loved it so much that one of our party is already planning another trip with her large family. We’ll definitely be back, thanks

We had a lovely week staying at Craven House.

It’s a large property with plenty of bathrooms for a large party and with all the facilities we needed. Within easy walking distance of Skipton town centre and a large supermarket. Not far from the rail and bus stations for exploring the area if you wanted to leave the car behind. Free parking in the road, if you can find a space! A great family gathering.

Fantastic 4 night stay over Christmas 24th -28th December.

Very comfortable and accommodated the 11 family members well. Property is well located with Tesco just round the corner and Skipton town centre a mere 10 min walk away. Well recommended.

Facilities were good.

House a little tired and one of the chairs in the kitchen was broken (the wooden slats came out of the top when we moved the chair out to sit on it). Well stocked with glasses, cutlery, cleaning stuff etc etc

Perfect house for a large number especially if the party includes children.

A group of friends (couples ans singles) stayed for a week and we all enjoyed our stay.

The house is clean, well equipped, comfortable and spacious. Plenty of space outside in the courtyard too for 9 of us to sit out on BBQ night. Conveniently located with supermarkets a few minutes walk, less than 10 mins walk to Skipton centre for shops and a good choice of pubs and restaurants and 10 mins walk to the railway station. A couple of pre-arrival queries were answered promptly by the owner.

We had a great week.

Three generations of our family met up and the house was perfect. We had space to gather together, but also room to breathe! Really good location - just a few minutes to town and two minutes from supermarkets. My kids loved the Aga. We all loved being able to eat together at the long dining table and still have elbow room. The patio garden is a suntrap in the afternoon and was heavily used by us. We were all delighted with our trip and wished we had booked for longer.

This house is absolutely beautiful and spotlessly clean. It has so much space and everything is of such a high standard. The original features of the house really add to the character and so welcoming. 12 of my family met for a weekend and everyone loved it. Not a single complaint. We arrived with five cars and all got parked with no problem. The owner called me and nothing was a problem, they even pulled the very large barbecue out for us to use which we did. Location is perfect for town and for exploring the local areas. We will definitely come back again.

Clean but may benefit from a refresh at some point Great location with an easy stroll into the town and right next to supermarkets.

What a fantastic house, spotlessly clean, comfortable and close to town.

We had a party of 9 family to celebrate our parent’s Golden Anniversary. Dining table was brilliant for us all to sit around and share a meal together on our first evening. Rooms were great, beds were comfortable and was lovely to be able to sit out in the back garden for a coffee in the morning. Will be back!

This is a wonderful house.

It really has everything needed for a family stay. We spent Christmas there and the Aga and well equipped kitchen was wonderful. The cosy lounge with roaring gas fire sat us all in comfort and the dining table (with 15 places!) looked great with the Christmas tree. There are books and games aplenty and the time flew by. The location is great. A few minutes from the town centre and all the lovely bars and pubs and shops in Skipton. Our Labrador, Willow also loved it! The owner, Joanne Rushton is charming. She was very kind and helpful.

Very steep steps which were a bit of a challenge for the more elderly of the group but what a fantastic house for a large family group. Would definitely recommend

Possibly the cleanest house we've ever stayed in.

Tons of space, well equipped and comfortable without being too fancy. Excellent location for walking into Skipton (5 mins). Handy supermarkets etc. We had a wonderful stay - thank you.

House was very well equipped, clean and plenty of room for the big group staying!

We all loved Skipton and found plenty to do for all ages of the group! (Age 4 months to 87 years) a lovely market town with lots of lovely pubs and cafes. Shops within a 5 minute walk. And a great play area 20 mins walk from the house. One thing we would suggest is having a larger or more bins. We did fill with more rubbish/ recycling that we sorted. Thank you for a lovely holiday.

Craven House is an ideal place for an extended family gathering.

It is comfortable and furnished to a high standard. There is everything you could need for cooking family meals, and the domestic facilities provide a home from home. It is only a short walk from the town centre, railway station, tourist sites etc. Tesco is 2 minutes walk away and if you don't want to cook I highly recommend the Lychee Chinese restaurant. Other reviewers have complained of patchy Wi-Fi and that the kitchen knives are not sharp. I agree, but these are minor points and would not prevent me from booking Craven House again.

Craven Cottage, was very comfortable, clean and spacious.

Situated just a few minutes walk from the town centre and the open countryside We found it an ideal location for our walking holiday. Would not hesitate to to stay again. Keith

We had a wonderful time in Skipton.

The house was a brilliant space to relax and enjoy. There was enough space for 14 of us and two dogs easily! It was clean and had everything that we needed. We hope to be able to use the house again some day and would highly recommend it for others.

Another great weekend in Skipton.

The house fits our extended family [13 adults] and works well. The kitchen is well equipped to feed a large number of people. Parking on the roads around the house for the 4 cars that came was never a particular problem. The location means Tesco is 2 minutes walk away; the canal 4 minutes and the centre of Skipton 8 minutes. Great trips out to Bolton Abbey estate and a good walk to Sharp Haw.

Beautiful home from home; very comfortable beds, great to have so many bathrooms/toilets For our large group.

It was really warm and well equipped, very clean, we were able to have a great sit down meal, and also to relax in the sitting room. The host was great to communicate and very amenable. It was lovely to have the Christmas decs too. Thank you. WiFi can be pretty patchy and it would be amazing to have sharp knives or an adequate sharpener (especially with so much chopping over Christmas).

myself and all my family would like to say what an enjoyable week we had in Skipton, especially in crave house, the place to go for a family gathering, thank you to our host, Mrs Rushton.

The house was large enough for the 14 of us with 2 babies and was incredibly well equipped.

The Aga kept us warm. The only slight drawback was the lack of easy parking.

Craven house is ideal for large groups to get together.

Skipton is hidden treasure with enough to keep all ages occupied without having to drive at all.

The near perfect accommodation solution to our golf party needs.

Close to the town centre for easy access to facilities, places of interest and places to eat. The only challenge is parking close to the house for the loading and unloading of our golf gear. Many thanks to our host.

Lovely big house, ideal for a big family get-together for my 60th.

Very well equipped too for catering for us all. On a busy road so some traffic noise and parking outside not always available but there were side roads nearby we could park on. Very convenient for Tesco and just a stroll to the other shops and market. Lots of lovely walks easily accessible and family activities such as farms, Skipton castle, playground in the park, swimming pool. My 5 year old great-niece wanted us all to stay forever! We would definitely like to go back.

It was a very homely home with everything we could need and a great location.

Host was wonderful. The toaster broke and she delivered a new one straightaway. Kitchen was a highlight for me.

Fab place to stay in Skipton - highly recommend the Raven Tree Top adventure for adults and kids alike, and a walk round the woods - this house is in a great location and we loved the "secret basement room" downstairs!

Craven House worked really well for us as a weekend getaway.

We were two families - 13 adults and a baby. We split perfectly over the two floor sleeping accommodation, were all able to eat together comfortably, sit together in the lounge (a few of the younger guests on the floor!) and there was loads of equipment in the kitchen. We did all our own catering apart from one meal at the Woolly Sheep pub (great!) and it was very easy. The snug downstairs was a useful extra space too. The house was clean and warm and Skipton a great centre - we mooched round the town and enjoyed walks along the canal, in the castle woods and around the countryside. We never used the car once we arrived. Parking was the only slight issue - no room at the front of the house when we arrived. We were able to find space on a side road and bring everything in via the back door. The big Tesco is only 2 minutes away, so you could always park there for a couple of hours and watch out for space to move into! We weren't disturbed by road noise at all, despite being close to a main road, the soundproofing is good! We'd be very happy to return.

We are a party of golfers.

We have stayed in this house before and will certainly do so again. It is perfectly situated, just a short walk to Tesco and Morrison's and the town centre with all its amenities. Parking just outside can be difficult, but there are lots of alternatives. The courtyard is a real suntrap, ideal for barbecues. And plenty of excellent golf courses nearby.

This is the first time as a family we have booked such a break, To celebrate a landmark birthday.

My wife found your website and looked for a property with enough rooms to accommodate us, upon seeing such a house we were convinced it was kismet as my wifes maiden name was Craven and my Dad was evacuated to Skipton during the war. The town was close and had all amenities, the house had all we would need to have a really enjoyable stay, many thanks

The house was very warm and welcoming with ample facilities for our family plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms.

The property is fantastic.

Very homely and comfortable with plenty of room for everyone. The playroom in the basement kept the kids entertained for hours ( in our party the age ranged from 6 to 14). Lots of places to visit within a few miles of the property And it was a pleasure returning to a beautiful warm Arga.

Found the parking a complete disaster once parked could not use car as afraid would not be able to park again.

Very disappointed with storage in kitchen found very little room for large Xmas food shopping, found the basement very damp and the smell of damp would definitely stop anyone from using sofa bed. Found the lounge seating barely adequate for 14people at any one time.overall found the house ok warm and comfortable, after doing this Xmas holiday with family for 34 years felt a bit disappointed with the property. The house was well equipped and comfortable constant hot water which was a big plus and it was very warm. Skipton was beautiful and the house well located for all facilities. Fantastic meal at wooly sheep pub on Xmas eve and pie and mash cafe was brilliant, would definitely revisit Skipton.

Wonderful property for a large family.

Plenty of room and good facilities including a basement playroom which the children loved. Conveniently situated for shops and all the towns facilities.
