Dray Cottage

Dray Cottage was welcoming and very comfortable.

Al the facilities you need. Ideal location for centre of Skipton. Great pubs and cafes on the doorstep. House was well fitted out and beds were very comfortable. Peaceful at night. One minor improvement would be a torch as we had a power cut on 2nd night. Love to come back in the future.

We had a lovely stay at Dray Cottage. Cute, cosy and comfortable. Small but very well equipped and oh so handy for canal walks and the town of Skipton itself. It is a perfect base for exploring the area and there are many dog friendly eateries nearby, including the Royal Shepherd right next door. Great communication with Sophie, the owner who left us milk, Prosecco and a lovely chocolate cake. Many thanks for that.

Without doubt the location of this cottage is why we keep going back, right along side the canal and next door to a decent pub.

The cottage itself could do with a few minor improvements especially the failed window unit in the bedroom that overlooks the canal and spoils the view but everything was good and hopefully when we return again the window will have been renewed

Great location, comfy bed, everything needed for a great stay.

Cottage could benefit from a little tlc - but this did not impact on our stay and we would happily stay there again. Owner did address one issue raised during our stay promptly.

Another brilliant stay at Dray Cottage, we have been many times + always enjoy the comfort, location + everything Skipton has to offer!

Wish the angle and depth of stairs had been mentioned.

Tap in bathroom very loose and toilet, we know there is no other choice, was too close, in fact touching end of bath and wall. Cottage supplied all that would be needed, good fitted kitchen. Yard is a lovely sun trap and very friendly helpful neighbours. Prerfectly central to all areas as we were on foot. Best pub for meals was Cock and Bottle not far from cottage. Easy short walk to town. It was so nice to stand at kitchen sink looking onto the canal and barges. Cottage is in a nice spot. My little dog settled in well. Thank you for the wine-cake and milk. Much appreciated.

This is a lovely place to stay, great location right in the middle of everything.

Loved our gift went down well. Great to watch the boats go by and the pub next door was good. Will be booking again

Dray cottage is in a brilliant central location with free parking.

It is very cosy with an outdoor space, unfortunately it was winter when we were there so didn't use it Sophie was very friendly and helpful, the cake and wine was delicious. Highly recommend

Very well equipped. Dog friendly. The host is lovely, great communication! Sophie the host also leaves a lovely bottle of wine a lovely cake and milk,tea and coffee. Definitely would return

Great location, right in the centre of Skipton and close to the canal.

Lots of places to eat and drink within easy walking distance. The property was very comfortable and clean and we would highly recommend.

Second stay in Dray Cottage.

Fantastic location, the convenient parking a real bonus. Cottage is beautifully presented, full of character and everything needed for a comfortable stay. Super comfy bed. Cake, prosecco and milk lovely welcoming touches. Highly recommended.

Fabulous location.

The cottage was very comfortable, had lovely bed linens and thick towels. The cottage was very clean and tidy. The kitchen was well stocked with plates, pans etc. Some basic essentials were missing such as shower gel, paper towel in the kitchen and tissues but to be fair, if we lived in England we would probably automatically bring these items with us. Sophie was great to communicate with and swift to respond to our emails. It was a very pleasant stay.

We had a fabulous stay at Dray Cottage, everything was clean, bed was so comfy, and the cottage was perfect for us and our dog.

Communication with Sophie was easy and the welcome cake and Prosecco were delicious.it is well situated for easy access to everything, and easy to get out of town for walks, and simple to ge5 to the canal for a run. We loved it all and will definitely be back

A lovely cottage in an idyllic position.

Overlooking the canal with great walks on the doorstep. A short walk to the town with plenty of great places to eat, can highly recommend the Turkish restaurant and La Bistro. The castle, again a short walk, is well worth a visit. Get in the car and lots of places of interest within a short drive. The cottage is clean, well equipped and extremely comfortable (especially the super king size bed). Thank you Sophie for the warm welcome of cake and Prosecco, it was a lovely touch

Previously stayed in Dray Cottage.

We love the position, it's quiet and convenient, very comfortable and well equipped. The small outside space can be a little sun trap, and a safe area for four legged friends. Skipton is a fabulous town with independent and national shops. Walks on the door step and even more in the surrounding areas. One observation, the cottage, although spotlessly clean, does seem to be getting a little rough round the edges, a lick of paint here and there, wouldn't put us off going again though. Would definitely recommend.

There were 2 sofas shown in the advertising pictures but there was actually only 1 sofa and a chair We had to buy masking tape to cover over all the places drafts were getting in.

It was very cold. The light in the bathroom mirror didn’t work so we only had the ceiling lights which were behind us. We left a day early due to the discomfort.

It’s a lovely clean cottage in a fantastic location.

Lots of information for walks and local amenities are there for anyone that’s not been to the area before. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and my little ones were also very content. A box of toys and books were also there, which was a pleasant and unexpected gesture. Communication from owner before our trip was great as well and resulted in a travel cot and high chair being provided which was amazing help. Thankyou for our wonderful stay.

We have been to Dray Cottage many times and our stay was as great as ever.

The Cottage is perfectly placed for the lovely town of Skipton but in a quiet area, we will be back!

Great to wake up in the morning to watch them change the canal boats over ready for the day - it’s a great skill. The cottage was warm and cosy with comfy beds. Lots of information about the area and beyond. Everything you need to have a most enjoyable stay.

Arrived to find a lovely welcoming property.

A delicious homemade cake , fresh milk and Prosecco had been left for us to enjoy which was a lovely surprise . The cottage was spotlessly clean , bed and bedding lovely . There was plenty of local information detailing walks , places to eat and local attractions to visit .All in all a fantastic place to stay

Easy walking distance to all local amenities. Pretty, comfortable, well equipped cosy cottage overlooking the canal. Super comfy big bed. Very helpful, accommodating owner. Really nice touches such as the welcoming prosecco, cake and milk. Would definitely return -great property and lovely place.

Clean well equipped cottage within walking distance of most of Skipton

Comfortable & Cosy cottage in a fantastic location right in the heart of Skipton.

Parking was easy, just 100 yards away with a pass included for the 4 nights we stayed. The King size bed was lovely and we had great sleep during our stay, shower over the bath was powerful and hot and the kitchen was of a high standard. Sophie the host was extremely helpful and the chocolate cake & Prosecco was a nice touch. Would definitely stay again

We had a great time at Dray cottage.

The cottage was warm , clean and welcoming and all fixtures and fittings in good repair. Very comforatable bed too, so we slept well. We were grateful to find a good cottage that also welcomed our dog. Thank you for the welcoming gifts of cake, milk and Prosecco. When we had a small problem, the owner, Sophie was quick to help us which was much appreciated. All in all, a great place for a winter break in a very interesting town and beautiful environment. Thank you.

Overall the cottage was comfortable, well located within Skipton very easy to get around.

We did find that the heating instructions provided did not match the system, no bread board to cut bread on, and the sink and bath plugs were not clean with black mould in the bathroom, and the Louvre doors in the bathroom very dusty. This is being picky as the condition overall was good, but these small details make the difference. Good communication with the owner.

Great location central for everthing. If I had to find fault it was the banging of the pipes when you put the heating on so we had to keep turning it off so sometimes we were cold... But wud definitely book the cottage again

Just had a lovely week at Dray Cottage,everything and more was in the cottage that we needed,Also a lovely little touch,of milk,cake and Prosecco,in the fridge.

Cottage really close to Town Centre,with shops,restaurants and pubs,lots of lovely walks along the canal.Had a little problem,phoned the owner Sophie,she was lovely,and said she would fix it that same day.We can’t wait to book this cottage again.Thankyou again Sophie,for letting us stay in your cottage,Would Definitely Recommend.

We enjoyed our stay in Dray cottage very much.

We did feel that a visitors book and an information pack about the cottage would be helpful although there was plenty of information about Skipton and walks in the area. On your site it said access was from 3pm but the owner said 4pm. However the owner was extremely helpful in sorting this out with us as we were arriving by taxi. We would definitely book Drag cottage if we return to Skipton.

A sweet place to stay in the very heart of Skipton, the gateway to the dales.

Dray cottage is the perfect spring board for a delightful stay exploring..we loved it, and appreciated the generous welcome-home made cake and proseco.We'll certainly be back!

Pleasent cottage as described very handy for everything in Skipton.

Lovely cake and bottle wine also milk in fridge which was a nice touch. Small outside space at rear only negative it was over looked by surrounding property's but as so central to be expected. We have a rough collie dog who we walked every morning along canal path which is outside.

We had a lovely few days staying in Dray cottage Skipton.

The cottage was very well equipped comfortable and cosy close to all amenities in Skipton. Lovely walks from the door step and plenty of pubs and restaurants close by. The owner left a lovely cake and Prosecco to welcome us a fabulous touch.

Lovely cosy cottage in great location to explore all that Skipton has to offer.

Lovely and clean with everything you need. Great shower, tv and hairdryer in both bedrooms. Lovely welcome with a homemade cake and prosecco in fridge...cake was delicious. Lots of places to eat and Skipton has a vibrant market and town centre and some lovely places to walk. Fab little cottage situated next to the canal in a great location.

Lovely cottage, warm, comfortable, well equipped, (a bit more cutlery would have been useful).

Fabulous position, everything on your doorstep, with easy access to other places of interest. Weekly car parking provided in public car park a few yards away, brilliant. Wifi, not good, slow and erratic, tv poor reception. Two of the gas rings didn't work, one of which the owner must have been aware of. Never the less would still recommend a stay in this lovely cottage.

Had a lovely week at Dray Cottage, very cosy, well equipped, central location and great views of the canal.
