Lovely cottage with fabulous views. Hosts very friendly

Beautiful holiday bungalow in the perfect setting had a wonderful week couldn’t fault anything and the owners were very welcoming and friendly will definitely be booking to go back.

Very comfortable with everything you need in a beautiful, peaceful location. Well laid out and spacious for a one bedroom cottage with a super comfortable large bed and powerful shower. Owners are wonderful, there if you need anything and so friendly and helpful.

Superbly situated in glorious countryside with an abundance of wildlife. Very comfortable even in record temperatures.

Had a lovely time at the cottage was spot on, surrounded by beautiful scenery, the cottage was very clean and looked after, I was in the cottage with my little dog and my friends were just over the wall in their caravan as it is also has a Caravan and Motorhome 5 van site as well.

The only thing that needs improvement is that it needs a gate putting across from the cottage to the wall as there is no gate to keep your dog secure, my little one sneaked passed me with out knowing but luckily she ran up to my friends caravan, Had a great time thank you Brenda and Bella

Very pleased with our stay in this lovely accommodation.

Clean, comfortable, spacious and equipped with everything needed. Very quiet and rather isolated location but perfectly placed for exploring the local area and Yorkshire dales. Would definitely stay again and recommend.

Fir Trees Stables in Summerbridge is is a quaint cottage nr to Pateley Bridge.

Its very comfortable, an all ground floor property. If I had a complaint it would be no facilities in the shower room for disabled people, a grab rail, shower stool & perching stool would be advisable. That aside the property & surrounding area well worth the money. The owner, Mrs Bradly is very amiable & accommodating.

Fir tree is a very nice, comfortable cottage.

Everything has been taken into account facilities wise. The owner was very friendly and helpful for somewhere to go for Sunday lunch with a dog.Cottage very clean on arrival and the milk and biscuits was a nice thought as mam never brought any. We had nice weekend plenty to do and the red kites and buzzard that frequented the skies around the cottage was amazing. We will be back. Mam loves this cottage as it is all one level, bed is very comfortable,mam has arthritis.Good way to use shower to

Very comfortable large bed and excellent shower. Beautiful far reaching views and a lovely area to walk in. If the weather isn't good there are lots of nearby places to visit. Site is nicely kept and the owners very friendly. Would definitely return.

Wonderful cottage in a lovely peaceful location.

Extremely comfortable and very spacious and well designed and laid out for a one bedroom cottage. Lots of storage and a very well equipped kitchen. Large bedroom and bed and an amazing, powerful shower. We stayed in November and it was very warm in the cottage so we didn't need the heating on much as it retained the heat exceptionally well. Owners are lovely and helpful and we couldn't have asked for more. Loved it so much we've already booked for the same time next year. We booked it to get our dog away from fireworks on bonfire night and it worked. Would highly recommend for any time of the year

Well equipped, dog friendly, cottage in a beautiful quiet location Large bed and the central heating can be adjusted plus an excellent shower, making for a really comfy stay.

There are plenty of places to visit near by. There is a caravan site on property but it is an adult only Caravan Club certified location for a maximum of five caravans, which if all pitches where in use are far enough away that they would not impact on your stay. We will be back .

Just right for two, nice lounge, well equipped kitchen, lovely king sized bed, awesome shower - temperature perfect; almost instant "hot" water.

Lovely and peaceful. Parking right beside the cottage. On the other side of a dividing stone wall, and right besides the cottage is a 5 site (a CSL) caravan park. The caravans are sited or situated along the farthest side of the field away from the cottage, and so do not impact in any way. In fact we found it lovely to chat with the caravan owners. There are two niggles, #1 a larger wardrobe in the bedroom, please and #2 a more up to date TV would be great; otherwise everything else was great.

The owners were very friendly and welcoming. The views from the accommodation were lovely and it was very peaceful. It was also ideally situated for those places we wanted to visit. Would definitely recommend this property and would visit again.

Probably one of the best short breaks we have had.

Warm welcome from hosts, easy walks up and down the road for oldies like us (!), lovely views and much to see on trips out. Brimham Rocks nearby, and Fountains Abbey just 20 mins in car, definitely worth a visit. As church folks, we also appreciated a friendly reception at the Summerbridge Methodist Church Sunday service - with tea and cakes afterwards! Altogether a very enjoyable week. We intend coming back.

I had a nice stay despite the weather !

The cottage was well equipped and the bed was very comfortable and I slept well. Unfortunately I found that both the sofas were extremely uncomfortable, this seems to be the norm with places I’ve stayed instead of having a couple of good quality armchairs there always seems to be uncomfortable and worn out sofas. I was also disappointed to see caravans on the site as there was no mention of this so was an unpleasant surprise ! Beautiful setting and a good spot for touring the area.

Val and John were brilliant hosts.

The bungalow was spotless, welcoming and we immediately felt comfortable and the view from the lounge window was breath taking. Everything worked as it should and the giant bed was very comfortable. We thoroughly recommend Fir Tree for a quiet or active holiday.

this is one of the best cottages we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in a lot of sykes cottages

The property is ideal for walkers/cyclists but is extremely remote.

If I did have one concern it would be the facilities in the shower, there's no grab rail or seat which would make it more accessible for the more disabled customers.

Everything was fine, it was warm and comfortable with great views.

A really nice property, with lots of wildlife in the area. We saw a pheasant in the garden and quite a few red kites flying overhead. It was well situated for visiting places of interest nearby. The only issue being that the electric fire didn't have a backlight, but worked ok other than that.

Had a great holiday in a lovely cottage central to everywhere lots of little villages not far away as well as cafes would recommend

The owners couldn't have been more welcoming, kinder, or helpful.

Excellent cottage.

Very comfy & quiet. Made very welcome by owner.

We had a lovely week exploring the Yorkshire dales, and the weather was excellent.

We have booked many self catering properties over the years for our holidays, and without doubt Fir Tree Stables is one of the very best. The location is very quiet, very peaceful, and has wonderful views. The cottage is very well maintained, and tastefully decorated, and very comfortable, and clean. Everything needed is provided, and everything works as it should. Our hosts were very warm, friendly and welcoming, and if we are visiting the area again we would book Fir Tree Stables again without a moments hesitation.

Cottage was lovely, very comfortable and clean, no complaints at all all good

We found the lodge to be reasonably clean and quite comfortable.

The beds were comfortable and gave us a good sleep. The lodge is ideally situated for touring the area and has fabulous views. Although we didn’t use it much due to the poor weather, it would have been nice to have a bit grass.

We have toured Eng many times and still Yorkshire and Dales one of our favourite places to be.

The cottage is very well appointed everything you need, the added bonus of washing machine was very welcome. The hosts were very welcoming, all in all great week in Yorkshire. Weather wasn’t kind to us but didn’t seem to matter.

It was a lovely country location but within good distances of everywhere we needed. The property was as advertised, really cute, clean and comfy. It had everything we needed for the week and we felt very much at home. The hosts were lovely and welcoming when we met them but also completely left us to enjoy our stay. Thanks for a great trip and we’ll definitely be back (when we can stomach another 5.5 hour drive up from Devon

Lovely cottage bungalow.

Warm, comfortable bed, great shower & everything you need in the kitchen. Surrounded by peaceful countryside, plenty of lovely scenic walks from the door. In the months of dark nights it would be difficult to walk to the nearest open pub, which is over 1 mile. However we didn't mind as we incorporated a pub stop & meal into our daily walks. Loved the cottage & the area.

Fir Tree Stables is in a fantastic position regarding the surrounding scenery.

If you want a relaxed, secluded holiday then Fir Tree Stables is the place to be.

I booked a week away hoping to miss the worst of the fireworks with my elderly dog who gets v stressed at loud noises.

Fir Tree Stables was perfect. Set up high on the hillside of the Dales we were far enough away that noise was minimal. The cottage was cosy and well furnished /equipped and laid out. (The bed was the most comfy I've ever slept in, in a rental!) Lovely views over the Dales with easy access to roads leading to a variety of nearby towns and villages for supplies and several NT properties. A walkers heaven, and many dog friendly pubs/cafes. The hosts are super friendly and welcoming, but not intrusive. They were particularly helpful when I realised I'd lost my phone & help me contact relatives & order a new one. (Thank you both!) Highly recommended & hope to go again.

Would have given 5 stars except for the lack of a bath which is one of the most important features I look for when making my bookings and the details of the cottage said and still says it has a bath not sure who is responsible for the upkeep of website details but would respectfully suggest it gets changed from bath to walk in shower.

Well equipped and warm. Ideal location for exploring the Dales. Warm welcome from the owners. We rarely go back but might well do in this case!

The cottage is very well presented, extremely comfy and lacks for nothing with lots of extra touches.

And John and Val are brilliant hosts who made us feel very welcome and went above and beyond what we would have expected when we had a car issue, therefore getting us back mobile again so as we could continue to enjoy the beautiful area.

We stayed during storm Arwen, which caused a power cut, but the owners could not have bee more helpful in ensuring that we were warm and comfortable. They even gave us their own back up heater to ensure we stayed cosy. We will definitely return.

The location was rather remote and not easy to find.

We were given directions from Harrogate when we were travelling to the cottage from Preston. On the more positive side we were given a warm welcome by the owners found the accommodation very well equipped and furnished. Also very quiet and amazing views.

This is a lovely, immaculate, cosy cottage with amazing views and we received a warm welcome from the owner.

It's set in a lovely area and there's plenty to do and see - well worth a visit. Would definitely recommend this cottage.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Fir Tree Stables.

The bungalow was lovely and very comfortable a home from home in a very good position for views over Yorkshire. Val was very accommodating and said if we needed anything just ask. Very good for walking I'm a Nordic walker and went out everyday. Well placed for going off to different places or even just going off for a drive.

Everything you could need for a break around Nidderdale giving you access to many attractions within the national park. Would definitely return.

Fantastic views and very peaceful. Very comfortable bed.

The owner came to visit not long after we got there and it was nice to meet her and was reassured that if there was anything we wanted we just had to ask.

The cottage was a good size for two plus a dog. The newly fitted shower room was really nice, the kitchen was very well equipped and the bed was really comfortable. The lane outside is really quiet, we counted about 10 cars that passed the house in the week we were there. Great location near Brimham Rocks. Good local walks. A really enjoyable holiday and we are very glad we went on this holiday

Fir Tree Stables is a wonderful peaceful retreat with every home comfort and the beautiful new bathroom complete with walk-in shower was a fabulous surprise especially for my husband who cannot climb in and out of a bath very well.

The owners are very caring, friendly and helpful too. I would definitely recommend this cottage as a base for touring beautiful Yorkshire.

The cottage and location was great and as expected.

The only reason for my 8 score is that the weather was awful and we had to leave early. This of course has nothing to do with the accommodation. Other than that would be happy to return later in the year.

We had a very nice holiday in a beautiful cottage in lovely countryside surroundings,great pub grub aplenty,nice places to visit scenery gorgeous a great area to wind down.

The view from the front window was spectacular on a clear day you could see for miles. A good location for driving around the dales. Just a shame for us we had rain for the last 3 Days.

So peaceful away from traffic . Lots of wildlife and plenty of areas to walk and visit. Cottage lovely , very welcoming owners . Would recommend.

This cottage was the most spacious one bedroomed property we have ever stayed in and we have been self catering for over 40 years.

Although rural and a few miles from the nearest shops, the views were extra ordinary. The local people very welcoming even the local cows came to see my dog Ivy and myself on our walks. (cows/ladies of the meadow/ in their field of course) The weather could not have been better. We found a cafe in Pateley Bridge The Blue Tea pot which sold tea and coffee for 50p a very moorish cuppa it was. Brimham Rocks is a relaxing place to visit ideal for leisurely walks for pets and ourselves. The National Gift shop there is a treasure trove with regular special offers. The ice cream cones there are great value for money and delicious when you can finish them before your pet takes a shine and catches the fallen scoop. Overall a very relaxing week. I would thoroughly recommend this cottage.

We have returned to Fir Trees a number of times and we are never disappointed.

The accommodation is clean, fresh and feels like a second home to us. We will be returning.

This was the first cottage in the last ten we have hired not to leave out a small welcoming gift,even after phoning them saying we were going to be late on arriving ie 8pm I thought they might have left out some milk a cup full at least so we could have had a cuppa on arrival, one of the reason we booked this cottage was because it stated it had a bath which I was looking forward to as we had ours taken out on getting wet floor, well it did have a bath but couldn't use it as the water ran cold all the time couldn't understand this as the sink beside it the water was very hot when using it , the doggie walks just outside the cottage we couldn't find at all had to walk on the road all the time just a few trivial things and the cottage was excellent

Cosy comfortable cottage with amazing views all around.

Rural location but easy to get to nearby pretty villages and towns. Many interesting places to visit nearby - Brimham Rocks, Fountains Abbey, Harrogate along with walks straight from the door.

This is the fourth time at this location.
