What guests are saying
“Chestnuts “ is a first rate holiday home, spacious, comfortable and well-appointed.
It is up a farm track ( easy to drive along) and peacefully quiet. We loved the village shop and found so much to do in the area that we needed another week. Beautiful scenery everywhere, convenient for York and plenty of pubs for eating out. We started to wonder why we have spent decades driving through Yorkshire without stopping, en route for Scotland. We were pleased to meet the owner, who gave us tips on the local area.
Chestnuts is the perfect holiday destination.
The property was easy to find and was home from home. Beautifully clean and well equipped. Liz was so welcoming and made us feel at home straight away. Perfect location for beautiful York, Harrogate , Knaresborough and many more exciting destinations. Couldn’t fault it and would happily give 5 stars ⭐️ x Thankyou for a fabulous break xxxx
Chestnuts had been renovated to a very high standard indeed and in very good taste, The overall décor, the equipment in the kitchen, the showers etc in the bathrooms were of the very best and the living room was comfortable and restful to sit in the evenings, also having a fine modern TV.
The views over the rolling Yorkshire countryside all the way to the distant White Horse were beautiful. Overall by far the best holiday home we have stayed in for very many years.
