  • "Thought this would be the place after my husbands cancer treatment to relax, what a mistake it was."

    The place dirty, I would never have let it in that condition, we stayed two nights, after traveling hundreds of miles to be there. I have put in a complaint and would like a refund. Does anybody go check these properties out, before they are let. Happy to provide photos, doors that didn't close, sofa that was collapsing, cobwebs on ceiling light fittings, disgusting toilet brush holder, left over food in freezer, rusty bed frame, soiled pillows, and bedroom blind, part of window sill in living room missing, extractor fan above cooker filthy, extractor in bathroom dirty, and outside shower tray, ceiling above window in living room looks like it's damp flakes of paint falling off, one of dining room seat damaged, no manuals for TV, cooker, heating available, no mention of when bin collection is. The dust isn't just a few days worth,. We were very disappointed, and for the money we had saved for a Yr to go there, is disgusting. If a refund isnt forth coming, we will have no hesitation in contacting the Ombudsman.

  • "This is our second time staying at Silverbells."

    It has everything you could need for a very comfortable stay. The hosts, Tom and Kim, are always available for advice and provide a lovely welcome pack on arrival. It is pet friendly, which is an added bonus. Overall, a great few days and I would definitely recommend.

  • "Already gave feedback and haven't had a reply."

    The apartment was comfortable. However there was no hot water, drain cover in the shower room sink wasn't there, the one in the shower was corroded, the extractor buttons were all broken, the filters were covered in burnt grease. When using the grill had a room full of bunt fat smell.

    Easy to use heating system which was needed at this time of year ( November ) all in all a very cosy comfortable flat and would give it 10/10

  • "Silverbells was perfect for my wife, myself and our dog."

    It had everything we needed and provided a comfortable place to rest and relax when we weren't out and about exploring the island. The island itself is a beautiful place with magnificent views across to the Isles of Bute and Arran, the Mull of Kintyre and on a clear day, Islay in the distance. We found the islanders to be very friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

  • "Absolutely loved our time at Silverbells, very friendly welcome from the hosts, property has a great location, close to everything and ideal for what we needed."

    Perfect for two of us and the dog, only little niggle was no washing machine for our laundry/towels from being by the sea and beaches. We discovered the launderette on the main st. Apart from that the property contained everything we needed and was well equipped for our stay.
