The attractive market town of Bakewell is nearby and offers a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as a frequent local market. With the whole of the Peak District National Park on the doorstep, many stately homes to visit including Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Hardwick Hall as well as Alton Towers, Britain's premier theme park, just a short drive away, this great area has plenty to offer!

This well-equipped Youlgreave cottage features two cosy bedrooms, a cosy kitchen with a dining area and a lovely sitting room with a stone feature wall and an open fire. Outside this Youlgreave cottage is a delightful shared walled garden which provides a lovely spot for a relaxing drink after an exhilarating day exploring the local area. Youlgreave offers a small shop and post office and a number of good pubs serving food, while a larger range of amenities is available in the nearby market town of Bakewell. We had a fantastic time over New Years. The housekeeper was particularly lovely and made sure we had everything we needed for the log fire. Great cottage in a great location. The cottage had everything we needed and was near a really good pub for food.
