Thain House

This property is perfect!

EVERYTHING you need is there. I take with me everything I could possibly need (including a spice/herb kit) but, to Thain House, I could have turned up with a few clothes and a toiletries bag and been OK for the week. The garden is the most dog friendly I've ever seen. Banff is lovely, with plenty of supermarkets and fast food. I didn't use the takeaways or restaurants so can't comment. Parking is on street and not reserved but there was always a space somewhere when I returned. I travel alone with dogs so need to find dog friendly attractions (it's their holiday, too). Lots of castles, ruined churches and harbours for us all to enjoy. It's lovely. Just lovely.

We had a wonderful holiday at Thain House.

It is conveniently located with ample parking on street. It is warm and cosy with plenty of room, and is well equipped. The rear garden is secure and kept our wee dogs contained. Plenty of beaches nearby. Plenty shops, pubs and eateries around as well. Owner is very helpful and easy to contact.

Very central but good walks with dog from door. Always managed to get nearby parking in street. Kitchen had plenty of everything even a slow cooker. Enclosed garden for dog and table and chairs. Free Netflix. A proper home from home.

For three golfers, all retired and 70+ years old we appreciated many things about the property, including a well equipped kitchen and comfortable sofa and chairs.

The bedrooms were all a good size and the beds comfortable. We were well supplied with towels. The house was clean and tidy when we arrived (and when we left!). The street was quiet and being near the town center meant we could walk to shop, have coffee and go for a pint. The location also suited as the wider area has many good golf courses within an hours drive and one magnificent one at Fraserburgh, twenty five minutes away. The only minor issue was that the one toilet (and shower) was downstairs and the bedrooms were upstairs. If there had been a toilet and hand basin upstairs it would have been perfect but that's the sort of age related issue one has to manage at our age.

It’s a home from home,very relaxing for humans and dogs .

Beach walks nearby which is an added bonus .

We were very comfortable in the house and everything we might need was provided.

We loved the garden - it was my first experience of Astro-turf and I was pleasantly surprised. The dog bowls, treats, throws and towels were very welcome and even though Jed chose to sleep on the floor it still made us realise that he was welcome and we felt at ease letting him wonder about the house and garden. We found that the light from the hospital across the road did not disturb us but acted like a night light so if we had to go downstairs to the toilet during the night we did not have to turn any lights on and risk disturbing anyone else. The castle grounds were a short walk away and perfect for an off lead run for an energetic collie first thing in the morning and last thing at night.

Well equipped, very comfortable.

Everything you could ask for in a holiday home. Accessible to amenities. Our 3rd visit here would recommend it to anyone. Pet friendly.

Feels homely , great outdoor space.

Our dog loved it too. I thought the stair was brilliant lower rise, wider treads, much easier to ascend. Step out the front door, look right and there is the sea. Recommend to anyone.

Holiday home was ideal ,it’s like a pair of comfy slippers for humans and dogs .

Location just perfect for beach and woody walks for the dogs . Eating out ,good choices House has everything you need if you would rather just cook at home Thanks again for thinking first and foremost of your guests
