Jade Cottage

The property was clean and comfortable.

The bed was spacious. The only downside was the damp, musty smell. Macduff appears to be a little run down but neighbouring Banff was nice with a lovely beach.

The bed was soooo big I had to take a taxi to the other side just to kiss Sheena good night!

, the bathroom mirror was too high all I could see was the top of my head, and am 5ft 3, shower I felt was tight, but everything was there that you needed except a pair of scissors, neighbours were lovely, view was brilliant, if you get a chance visit the old outdoor pool, now cafe, dog friendly!, lovely scones and tea, hopefully the aquarium will be finished by the time you get there, it wasn't for us, we were there when the temperature was 28 degrees

Internet was very poor.

No cleaning products were available we had to buy our own. The washing up bowl needs replacing it was grimey. The welcome pack is very poor, probably the worst we have ever had, a few tea bags, coffee sachets and milk sachets not what you really want to walk into after a 9 hour drive. We bought air freshener as it smelt fusty but understand it may have been empty a few weeks. Other than these few disappointments the cottage is lovely and sea views are stunning, this is our 3rd stay at jade cottage but believe it is now under new ownership.

There was a few little niggles in that place, little notes dotted around the place, no garden out the back.

But what finished us off was the shower was extremely dangerous. It was leaking water which was always too hot to have go over you. My wife suffered a burn on her foot and it took four days to clear! I went in the shower and the room was very tight and I had to turn the shower away from me most of the time. I would not recommend this place to anyone

What a beautiful cottage.

We absolutely loved it as did our dogs who loved the treats and the toys. The decor is so lovely, the bed was comfortable and there are loads of drawer space. The first couple of days ,the weather was cold and it was good to be able to put the central heating on. Upstairs is amazing and was my favourite place to sit while my husband sat in the living room in the big armchair. There are lots of books and games provided. The view from upstairs is lovely looking to the rocks and the waves washing over them. I especially loved all the seaside ornaments and little touches that made me feel at home. The kitchen is well equipped and easy to use. All in all we loved our holiday and the dogs had more walks than they ever get. We would highly recommend Jade cottage for anyone looking for a peaceful holiday in a beautiful environment.

Jade Cottage is a nice, quiet and comfortable getaway, right on the shore front in Macduff.

The sea views from the attic level reading room are great. The location provides a lovely balance of being peaceful yet only 5mins walk from the local shops / pubs. The locals are very friendly, and there are some stunning walking routes right on your doorstep. The cottage had pretty much everything that you'd need for a short break, along with a couple of nice personal touches too. Decor and furnishings are of a good standard, my only complaint would be that the paintwork is getting a little tired in a couple of spots, but this did not detract from making my stay a very enjoyable one. I would happily book again if I'm back in the area in the future.

Perfect location by the seashore. Lots of walks for family & pets. Cottage was warm & welcoming, well equipped clean & comfortable. Wouldn’t hesitate to go back again. 5*

Jade cottage is a lovely property and had everything that you require for a short break.

Jade cottage did not disappoint.

Had a fantastic, relaxing stay. The cottage is so comfortable and provides everything you require for you need . If you have a dog, the back garden is totally enclosed so they can wander freely. We would definitely stay again and MacDuff is so quiet and peaceful.

Jade Cottage was very comfortable and clean,it had everything we wanted and mor Thankyou for our arrival pack was most welcomed.

Great view from upstairs, pity the view across road was blocked with the barriers and work equipment at Aquarium,but that will be all gone by our next visit

It was a well equipped cottage and clearly a lot of thought put into the property for guest which enhanced the experience.

Also set in a lovely location on the waterfront and undisputed view from the seating area study upstairs. Cannot fault this property at all.

We had a great holiday at jade cottage .

facilities great everything you could need home from home cottage is to a high standard .we did not use cooker or washing machine as we ate out all the time .The bed was super comfortable the reclining sofa was great as i suffer chronic pain so i could get very comfortable. What a super little cottage i would highly recommend it.

We had a lovely stay at Jade Cottage and found it very clean and comfortable.

The cottage was well equipped, everything we needed we found easily and instructions were obvious, relevant and easy to follow. It was our first visit to this stretch of coast and thoroughly enjoyed lots of beautiful wee villages and harbours. Saw and heard lots of interesting birds.

Great place to stay well aquip

Crackin, compact wee cottage perfectly situated on the shoreline and perfect for a couple.

The only thing missing for a winter break is a log burner to turn cold, wet days and nights into a cosy retreat after a a day touring. Apart from that we will return in warmer months next year.

A beautiful little cottage right next to the coast, this is the first time I’ve been on holiday and haven’t wanted to leave!

Jade Cottage has been furnished with care and attention with visitors comfort in mind. Comfortable living room furniture and for the first time ever a comfortable bed! Absolutely bliss! Thank you for a fantastic week’s holiday ❤️

Very nice cottage great view would recommend this cottage very quiet just what we were looking for

Jade Cottage was a little gem of a place.

It was beautifully and thoughtfully decorated and very comfortable and we had a lovely fortnight exploring the Moray coast. We did find the cottage a little chilly in the cooler September weather and it would have been good to be able to make the radiators warmer, although there was always hot water.

Great spot to stay.
