  • "Glan Dwr Bach is in a stunning location looking across the Menai Strait on Anglesey."

The view of mountains across the water is constantly changing. Patio down steps was great too (but the road is fast - expect traffic noise and then ignore it). A short drive to shops at Menai Bridge and Beaumaris for provisions - so very convenient. Beds comfortable, everything clean, well-organised, some lovely touches on arrival plus bath with a view. Hob, oven etc new and easy to operate. Only additions recommended would be silicone spoon for stirring the non-stick pans. Otherwise, a lovely stay, would happily return.

  • "Wonderful stay."

Wish it could have been longer. Would stay again without hesitation. The only down side for us was having to go out of the front door on the main road to get to the lovely patio with our dog. Everything else was exceptional.

  • "Beautiful cottage with a WOW factor view."

Very clean & comfortable, tastefully furnished to high standard. Modern fully equipped kitchen catering for all your needs. Large bright airy bedrooms with comfy beds and of course the spectacular view. Good power shower in wet room, luxury bathroom again with a panoramic view. We had lovely weather and spent many hours relaxing on the private patio, just enjoying the sunshine & the scenery. Fabulous place perfect in every way, can't wait to return.

  • "We have had a wonderful week in the cottage, it was everything we expected and more."

The addition of a newly fitted kitchen with full size fridge freezer and every cooking accessory we needed was a massive bonus, and the newly finished private patio was a real surprise. As others have already commented, the views from every window on the coast side of the cottage are amazing, and even when the weather wasn’t the best, we found ourselves gazing out watching the clouds and boats passing by our windows! We did not find the noise from passing traffic to be too intrusive, although the cottage is adjacent to the main road to Beaumaris. This is a small price to pay for the excellent views and really handy location for exploring the island and the nearby Snowdonia countryside. As a person who has some mobility issues, I personally found the accommodation to be excellent, with everything on (almost) the one level, and the effort the owner has put into creating the private patio is to be commended. We are already looking at booking our next break here at the cottage and we haven’t finished this holiday yet! Thanks for letting us share your fabulous home and we can’t wait to come back!

  • "This is the most perfect cottage, exactly what we needed."

The views are truly outstanding and we spent many hours relaxing in the bath watching the sea - stunning! The views from every room window are second to none. The cottage has been so well planned out - our son came with us and he had his own “separate “ wing - which gave us all our privacy. If I could permanently move in tomorrow I would. Thank you for sharing this fabulous place with us. You are such thoughtful owners with everything in the cottage plus cake Prosecco, milk, tea, coffee waiting for us when we arrived - simply perfect. ❤️

  • "I visited with my wife and 1year old for a last minute break over Christmas for 4 nights."

We really enjoyed our time from the moment that we set foot inside the property our expectations were met! A cosy cottage with beautiful views from all of the rooms. There was a bit of a draught from the main door and it is on a main road so you can hear vehicles zooming past on an evening from the rooms at the front of the house, but this wasn't a nuisance. Some nice touches in the cottage included a pair of binoculars to ogle the lovely views. The kitchen facilities were excellent and we were not short of anything. We were also provided with a little play pen for the baby which was great. I would recommend and would love to revisit in the summer. Oh yes the bathtub and view was amazing :)

Comfy, clean beds. The en-suite bathroom was lovely but could have done with a separate shower as it has plenty of room for one. Well equipped kitchen. Thank you for the Prosecco and cake. A very nice welcome.

  • "As listed. Great cottage with good facilities."

The bathrooms are of a good quality. Lovely views from the bath. Great location for the Snowdonia National Park. Good facilities close by - Pub, Waitrose, Fuel Station. Had difficulties on arrival ensuring we found the correct cottage and upset a neighbour. The road was very busy with a narrow paths which was difficult walking the dog. Having said that I would recommend this property.

  • "As a dog friendly apartment it didn’t have any outside area Even just a little square would be nice Also if 4 of us had gone I’m not sure where we could have parked another car, as the place downstairs was parked in front of our bedroom window."

So would have had no room as all

  • "The location was perfect and the cottage was excellent for the family of 4 and our Dog."

Whilst there is no outdoor space to let the dog out on its own, the walk from the cottage to the beech is only a couple of minutes. The walk also takes you to the local pub / restaurant (the Gazelle) which is dog friendly both inside and out. All in all a perfect cottage in a perfect location.

  • "The cottage was lovely and not at all dirty or smelly like some reviews stated."

Shame there was no garden but we still enjoyed the views from the windows, especially the window seat in the dining area. The towel rail in twin room was leaking but plumber attended within 2 days of reporting this. Couldn’t get the hob to work. I did request the twin be made into a double but this was not done which was disappointing. Overall a lovely cottage with everything we needed and nice touch of the Prosecco and cake on arrival.

This made early morning/late night toileting a bit of a chore. There looked to be a small garden at rear but unclear if we could access. The views are spectacular.

  • "The holiday cottage was as advertised."

The views and rooms were all amazing and we had a super staycation apart from the cleanliness and no WiFi for 2 days. There were dead flies under the dressing table, there were loads of cobwebs, food stains Around the kitchen In various places, a filthy grill/ oven, A vacuum cleaner that stunk of wet dog when we tried to clean for ourselves. It definitely hadn’t been cleaned to a ‘Covid-19’ standard and so we spent a couple of hours cleaning with our own products in the kitchen and getting rid of the cobwebs we could reach. We loved the property and the linen was lovely, but the lack of cleanliness let the property down. Also the lack of WiFi was very annoying. I think we would def stay again for a longer time next time but would love the cleaning to be improved as it wasn’t really acceptable. Thanks

  • "Only problem we could have a grumble about was lack of toilet rolls ( not a major problem though) and the property below us had a dog that in particular one night barked for a few hours, we assumed it had been left just happened to be the evening we ate in after a busy day."

Other than these points top place to stay with beautiful scenery would have loved to sit outside but no garden.

  • "I feel the listing is somewhat misleading."

The property is described as ground floor but, although the entrance is at street level, the property is actually the top floor of a three storey building. Two of the frying pans were not compatible with the induction hob so could not be used at all.

  • "Superb property!"

I will certainly recommend Glan Dwr Bach for the views and the quality of accommodation, these were excellent. Please mention to owners the dripping tap in kitchen - not a problem for us, at all, but I’m sure someone will complain. I’ve used Menai Holidays for years and never had a problem, they have always exceeded my expectations. This time I am far from happy that I had spotted GDB was not shaded out on the booking website, the week before we were travelling. This was resolved, eventually. I was told it had not been shaded out due to joining up with Sykes! There was absolutely not need for me to have been put in a stressful situation, the week before travel, and there still has been no formal apology. It was merely brushed off with ‘at least the property is free’. YES it should be free for me and my family as I booked and paid for it months ago. I do feel the latter should be shared with Menai Holidays themselves, as I say after years of no difficulties I feel that this blip, having merged with Sykes, and the response given is far from acceptable for such a previously professional business. I have paid a lot of money for a gorgeous property and expect a much better standard of ‘voice to voice’ customer service and a formal apology for such a basic confusion. Luckily for Skye’s and Menai Holiday GDB was not double booked!

A layout that is quirky and different, but works very well. Very nicely equipped. An ideal location to visit Anglesey and North West Wales.

  • "The cottage is charming with fantastic views."

Nicely laid out for four people. There were a few things lacking. There was no welcome package with manuals. No mirror in the shower room and no light above the mirror in the bathroom with tub. We did not mind not having a dishwasher but there was no washing up bowl and no dish washing liquid. Only a couple of tea towels and the pedal bin would not stay closed. Also, the addition of a salad spinner would be good. We loved our stay in Glyn Dwr Bach and hope this helps.

  • "Stunning location with fabulous views."

Cottage was nicely presented; just one or two tiny things... Neither of us could get the hob to work! Might be worth checking out as we're reasonably handy! A few cobwebs high up on the walls (I hoovered them up for you!) Other than that it was brilliant! Staff recommendations for walks & beaches were spot on; we loved Newborough beach especially.
