  • "The cottage was warm and cosy, very dog friendly, the closed in garden was just the right size."

Endless hot water, underfloor heating was a lovely touch. Beds so comfy and the sofas! The weather was not great so spent a lot of time just chilling around the cottage, felt very at home. Owners there if you need them but not in your face. Great instructions. Perfect location. Very peaceful.

Aw, amazing glad you felt at home. Thanks for lovely words and leaving cottage lovely and clean Property Owner

  • ""Extremely comfortable cottage-enjoyed our stay, didn't want to leave" The owner & her father were very welcomimg hosts."

The Granary cottage is a good central location on the island - it is spacious & the log burner was a delight with October weather & easy to use, the bed very comfortable. The garden/patio was a great size for our 3 cocker spaniels.

So glad you enjoyed. Lovely little dogs. Property Owner

  • "Beautiful conversion of old farm building."

Excellent supply of towels and utensils. Very comfy beds. Rooms nice and warm. Secure entrance to the property via code-protected gate. The upstairs bedroom is "open" with a steep spiral staircase which wasn't a problem for us but may be for some people. Water is very hot! We had a very enjoyable comfortable stay here and would definitely recommend it Thank you

Thanks for your recommendation makes all our hard work worth it for a few nice kind words. Love that you are so positive Property Owner

  • "We stayed at Number One The Granary (for 4 weeks) It’s a lovely place, just as the photos show, very well equipped kitchen (able to cook full meals no problem), good size bathroom, comfortable beds and sofas."

Excellent dog proof garden, our Westie was very happy with the garden. We arrived to flowers, some nice sweet treats including Welsh cakes and a bottle of wine - these were unexpected and absolutely delicious, a lovely touch that we appreciated. Made our arrival very welcoming. The hosts are a lovely friendly family. We got to know them over the 4 weeks. They went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and easy. The property is very well set up for families with dogs, a dog exercise area and lots of grounds like the orchard you can explore (if the horses are not using). Also close to dog friendly beaches, supermarkets and of course good pubs! I can highly recommend this as a place to stay. We would definitely return for another visit.

It was a pleasure to have you stay with us so long, little Merlo was just the sweetest pup. Property Owner

  • "My mum and I fancied a relaxing break from reality so we booked the granary for ourselves, my baby and our two dogs."

Well- it was more than we could have asked for! The friendly owners have thought of everything to make our stay convenient and comfortable. There is even an allocated space for dogs to have a good run around other than the cosy garden out the back. We loved our stay so much that my Dad has actually booked to take my mum back next month! Super!

  • "Initially we were very pleased with The Granary - clean, spacious & after a while, warm."

We booked this as it was pet friendly though we hadn't appreciated that the outside space for the dogs was a small patio only, meaning for our dogs needs we had to walk them to the grassed areas both first & last thing - so up and dressed for us, no lie in! No welcome gifts - no milk, no wine, no cookies, not even any matches nor a laid fire in the woodburner. The photos show otherwise. No useful notes in a file to help us along - one A4 sheet telling us we'd be charged £15 to send anything back we left behind. So far we're not feeling very welcome. The kitchen was poorly equipped - two tired saucepans (only 1had a lid), 1 frying pan, only 4 forks (so easy to fix), 1 tea towel (again, easily fixed). Being responsible dog owners we didn't like to leave our girls so ate in every night - this kitchen didn't make this an easy event. The crockery was fine but so old fashioned (sadly not in a vintage way). Also if taking dogs be aware there are no public footpaths in this area. Our two main negatives are !. 1. The appalling Wifi - so intermittent we couldn't use any on-demand TV, neither of us could work and it was unsecured - seemed to be one account based in the main home. 2. On leaving (a day early - due to wifi) we left a written note alerting the owners to the fact that the mezzanine smoke/CO alarm flashed constantly all night long - too irritating to sleep through. This was a holiday we had worked hard for and really needed. Sadly it left a sour taste.

  • "I arrived 20 minutes early and upon arrival found property was cold, Patchwork of large cobwebs on end wall, obviously been there for a while, otherwise clean and tidy, however no toilet cleaner provided."

Although this did not affect me, advertised as sleeps 4 and dining table accommodates 4 but tucked under spiral stairs; comfortable seating in lounge area for only 3. Oven advertised as electric was in fact gas. Bed linen of a poorer quality than expected. All in all, not up to the high standard of the previous owners - I did not feel particularly welcome.

Heating comes on automatically and as you were early it had not come on yet did you consider that. Cobweb is the joys of a countryside and the anoyance of a very high ceiling. The linen is Hotel standard, possibly not the same as previous owners but they are new and clean and we charge much less than previous owners, this should be considerd on what you paid. The dining table can be easily moved to make more space did not think this needed explaining! There is limited space for larger sofa but there is one upstairs, seating for 5 is possible. We dont individualy meet every guest so sorry YOU did not feel welcome this is how most self catering holidays are, its not a Hotel. Its interesting how some people see a fault in what so many find perfect. Wonder who is at fault the you or the many. But you set the tone on your feedback as "no toilet cleaner", omg there is a toilet brush and its self catering. You wont find toilet cleaner in a hotel. Im glad you wont be returning. • "Really enjoyed our stay at The Granary."

It was very clean with very nice decor. Ideal for a couple but my sister & brother in law came to stay and with only a 2 seater settee and a chair one of us had to use a camping chair. The “stairs” to the mezzanine are not for the faint hearted…a bit steep so not good for anybody unsteady on their feet. Once up on the mezzanine though it was lovely and comfortable. The bathroom was excellent with a powerful shower & deep bath. A lovely little garden outside with a picnic table. Would have been nice to have some comfy seating to relax in the sunshine. Overall as a couple we would definitely stay here again in the future.

  • "The accommodation and facilities were excellent."

Very peaceful, clean, comfortable (including the beds) with magnificent surroundings/views. The property was safe, we never locked the doors during our stay. Excellent facilities for our two Mini Schnauzers (in fact the owners had one who had recently had pups) Tranquil area and conveniently placed to tour the Isle of Angelsey. My only criticism is that our cottage “The Grannary” could have done with a three seater sofa, as well as the chair. But it wasn’t a big issue. We will definitely be back. The owners were lovely, friendly and welcoming. We really enjoyed our stay.
