Farm Cottage

A very nice cottage, clean and well equipped, if I'm being completely honest there seems to be an issue, that not only we noticed but others had noticed in the comments in the review book of smelling damp.

...no signs of dampness on the walls, but two strange thing's happened that I noticed...tablets that I would leave out in the morning, normally I would have to break them to swallow them were now soft at night....and secondly which i found out on the Samsung website that my phone was developing a problem related with a moisture problem,getting worse as the week went on...which cleared up once I got home....strange, but it did happen....very nice cottage, but there is something going on.

Lovely cottage, well situated next to the access to the coastal path.

Quiet area but close to tge village. Cottage had everything that we needed and was spacious for us. Would definitely be booking again

Ideal setting for coastal walks

This is a lovely cottage to stay in.

It was our second visit and we’ll be returning next year!

Great cottage which is kept clean and tidy, with all you could need for your break.

Location is superb, with the coastal path right on the doorstep at the edge of the village. You’re far enough out for privacy, but near enough to wander down in 10 minutes. The back garden has great views and is a real sun trap. We loved it there.

This was our third holiday at Farm Cottage and have booked for next year.

It is in a lovely position overlooking fields with direct access to the coastal footpath Enclose area for dogs and neat sunny garden. Perfect.

The Accommodation was tranquil and restful.

Plenty of things to see and do on Anglesey. The host was friendly and approachable. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to friends and other dog lovers

This is the second time we booked farm cottage with skyes holiday cottages at Christmas the cottage is amazing it has everything u need its home from home the owner grace lives next door so handy if anything goes wrong and the costal walks u can find to do are breathtaking would defo come back again x

This was a lovely cottage with all we needed.

Owner nearby if needed. Warm and comfortable with lovely views from windows of main room. Great walks from door. Dog was very settled too. Hope to go back again!

Lovely cottage within easy walking distance of the coastal path.

Good parking space. Plenty of cupboards for everything you take with you. Well equipped kitchen. Only thing I could suggest is maybe supply a small baking tray/dish for use in oven. Would certainly go back to Farm Cottage again.

A lovely cottage in a prime location.

Farm Cottage is truly home from home. It offers every comfort and is not overlooked to the rear so is very quiet and private. The underfloor heating is a bonus. There are two lounges so plenty of space to relax if there are 4 people in the party. The owner lives next door, so is on hand if any advice/ help is needed. We hope to return here again in future. A great find!

second holiday we have spent at Farm Cottage and once again the perfect place for walking directly onto the Coastal Footpath. The Cottage is well kept with views across farmland.The only problem this year the double bedroom was cold.

A wonderful stay, accommodation first class.

Only one observation kitchen needs a sieve. lol. But village and beach both idyllic. 10/10.

Highly recommend Farm cottage, set in a gorgeous location right by the beach with lovely coastal walks right on the doorstep.

The cottage itself is lovely , well looked after, big modern bathroom with shower and bath and small en-suite in master bedroom . Kitchen fully equipped and small enclosed garden . Cemaes bay village has a few little shops and a couple of pubs neither serving food whilst we were there but the chippy was awesome .

I took my mother, daughter and dog, who said it was beautiful and well equipped.

A gorgeous cottage in a fabulous location.

Perfect for exploring Anglesey. A two minute walk from the coastal path which has stunning views. 10 minute walk from a lovely beach. Local shop and chip shop in the village, again a 5/10 minute walk walk away. The beds were really comfy. We had a problem with the heating when we stayed which the owner tried to fix within minutes of us messaging. Rectified part of the problem so the living area was lovely and cosy but the bedrooms were cold as it was a bigger job to fix There were blankets available tho and we used the heat from the electric fire to warmth through to the. Bedrooms. Only downside is that the sofas, as I think people have mentioned before, are really uncomfortable as they have very low backs.

Our family group (an older couple, daughter & granddaughter) had a very enjoyable stay at the lovely pristine cottage thank you!

All worked very well for us, with all necessary provisions catered for - good kitchen facilities, comfortable beds & settees & excellent showers (would have been handy to have somewhere within our en-suite shower to put toiletries - have corner one from IKEA at home that would work well, not a criticism but just a hint, especially for disabled visitors!) We especially liked the empty cupboard provided to store our foodstuffs, as well as the good sized fridge & freezer, along with the large dining table! It all worked well for our family with their varied nutritional needs! Cemaes Bay is so beautiful & the cottage is amazing so Thank You! We hope to be able to visit again in the near future.

We had a great week at Farm Cottage.

It is well presented and very comfortable for a family of four and a dog. Great location - five minutes from the town centre/beach and one minute from the coastal path. It is also very quiet and private. The view from the back garden is lovely. There is private parking and the cottage has everything you need.

Well appointed cottage.

Comfortable, had all the basics, attractive garden with good views and outside seating which took advantage of the views. The cottage location felt safe and quiet, close to the coast line and beech. Cemaes is an attractive village and a good location to be based.

Excellent convenient car parking. Pleasant private garden which gets plenty of sunshine. Modern kitchen with all facilities.

Should not be advertised as having internet as it’s totally unreliable going off for hours on end.

Musty smell in original part of cottage especially in the twin room found it quite unpleasant to sleep in there. No hand rail in bathroom to access over bath shower or slip mat.

Overall very good,minor gripes 1.

Grill pan had not been cleaned,food deposits on tray. 2. WiFi very poor ,connection for a couple of hours some days. 3.Batteries in the remote control’s dead or very weak.

We have stayed at Farm Cottage three times and we find it very comfortable, it is well equipped cosy and warm.

Shower in double bedroom could do with mat and hand holds for older folks and maybe in main bathroom too.

Otherwise all very good -hope to use it many more times again -shame about the name change!

Pretty cottage and location great for walking, beach and village.

Lovely cottage location lovely however problems with post being delivered daily for owner living next door in lodge and caravan basically our relaxing time disrupted and our privacy

The property was absolutely spot on.

I have stayed in several properties with Sykes over the years & I have to say this cottage will remain one of my favourites. Clean, inviting, bright, comfortable with plenty of space for everyone. Secluded and yet not isolated. Very well insulated with a very safe garden for dogs or young children. The property was very well maintained. A truly relaxing week away from home and work.

So relaxing . Comfy beds and snug even in extreme weather Only problem there was no instructions for work heating etc and no welcome pack which would have been helpful and unusual not to be one . Also please ask for new knives as they are blunt and made carving a piece of beef a challenge . Thanks

The cottage was lovely, everything home from home, just a little welcome basket would have been nice, like some cake and essentials, not that cake is not an essential!

Lovely holiday cottage just the right size for us and my 90 year old parents.

Beautiful outlook across the fields from the living area and ideal for short walks to the headland to sit and view the sea and harbour. I chose the cottage because everything was on one level and the double bedroom had a separate shower but this is a little small if anyone needs assistance with showering. However, this was just a minor problem for our family which we overcame and had a great week.

We have stayed at Farm Cottage previously and as usual everything was as we expected, brilliant.

It perhaps should be noted that the double bedroom had quite a number of clothes moths on the wing.

They can be very destructive so a form of treatment may want to be considered. We loved the cottage, it’s situation was perfect. It had every facility we could possibly want and we hope to make a return visit at some time in the future.

Great location . WiFi a bit hit and miss in the older parts of the property - although inconvenient , ( there was lots of football on tv when we stayed and we are not fans - we wanted to download - watch/listen to other programmes) this did not spoil our holiday . Would thoroughly recommend this property as a great holiday stay.

I think it says it all...

Both the cottage and Caemes bay were amazing finds - The cottage is beautifully and fully furnished, with the small garden giving you a perfect view of the evening Sky at the end of a day out; and location being an easy walk down to the beach, Or the shops and pub, or straight out onto the coastal path for walking.

Hard to say which our dogs enjoyed more, discovering all the different countryside or swimming and ball chasing on the dog friendly sandy beach. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Farm Cottage is an absolute delight to stay in, on a quiet no through road at the end of Camaes Bay with direct access to the coastal path.

We stayed for two weeks, and would have no hesitation of going back. It was spacious enough for two children, our dog and myself and my wife. If I could ask for one thing, it would be a barbeque. Other than that, pretty much perfect.

This is a very well equipped holiday cottage, with beautiful views from the lounge and every facility you need for a home from home holiday.

Lovely furnishings in all the rooms, nice and warm on colder evenings, lots of hot water for showers / bath after long walks with the dogs. Underfloor heating in the main family room which the dogs loved as it warmed their beds for them :). The garden was safe and secure for our dogs - or children - and we had lovely walks direct from the front door over the countryside or down to the beach and into the local village amenities. Would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet getaway.

A real spotlessly clean home from home with everything you need for a pleasant stay.

The cottage is only 5 minutes walk from the town and beach and 5 minutes drive to the larger beach across the bay. We will definitely be returning.

Great for dogs with plenty of walks from doorstep

Even bad weather couldn't take the shine off our holiday.

Photos do not do justice to the fabulous garden and the lovely view. Cliffs two minutes away and the beach ten minutes on foot. So much to see and do on the island. Every comfort and convenience you could wish for. I am already planning my next visit. Thanks very much.

It was bigger than we expected, and also very clean and well equipped. In fact we enjoyed it so much, we've booked another week in June! The location for us was perfect with everything within walking distance. A super garden, and we also enjoyed the local hospitality. Thank you!

We have been to quite a few cottages at Christmas, there has always been a welcome pack, always containing milk, and quite often a bottle of wine and chocolates.

There were non of these at the cottage, which we thought was a bit mean at Christmas time. We had to go out to buy milk after arriving. The Christmas tree was very nice. Farm cottage was very clean, well equipped, comfortable & warm. A little more information on how things work would have been very useful, i.e the top part of the cooker and how to adjust the underfloor heating, we tried to turn it off on the dial but nothing happened. The canister containing Coffee had a lump of congealed coffee in it. We hopefully would come back.

Spacious, clean and well equipped. Best thing was walking in after a long journey and everything spotless, warm and welcoming.

It is hard to fault Farm Cottage, its spotlessly clean, the beds are comfortable, the kitchen well equiped and there was plenty of warm water plus central heating if required.

The cottage is right on the Anglesey Coastal Path and only a short walk from the shops and beaches. It seems a shame to grumble but we found the settees uncomfortable after a short time and the outside furniture consisted of wooden picnic tables difficult to sit at for long. Also, perhaps its Anglesey Water but the water in our tea cups tasted very metallic - almost as if washed in bleach! We didn't think this could be the case as it recurred even after washing via dishwasher.

Cottage was clean and in a very good location near the coastal path, beach and village.

The only thing that could improve it is a better information folder in the cottage and perhaps a welcome pack would be appreciated.

The cottage was in a good location and the facilities first class.

The only negative was the en suite bathroom which was very small. However it was only a small inconvenience compared to the overall facilities which were excellent.

2nd visit to the cottage, and still love the location and setting of this property.

5 mins walk into the village and only 2 mins to the beach, ideal for families, dog owners and those with reduced mobility. Well equipped in the kitchen and great fridge freezer for self catering. The garden at the rear has great views but is lacking any shade and could do with a different table, chairs and a parasol. The property also needs a visitor information folder, as no info is left on how to operate oven or if we had to put bins out for collection. Box full of leaflets about the island but they need refreshing as we found most to be vastly out of date. Only info left was the Wi-Fi code (which works great). Probably won't return to the property again but we enjoy staying in different locations on the island and have decided to try an alternative property in the same village.

Don't judge a book by the cover !

When we saw the Nuclear Power station nearby and a not very encouraging front door , we did wonder , but once in and in the area we thoroughly enjoyed it. The open plan living space, bi-fold doors , enclosed sun trap private garden , coastal path on the doorstep and pretty harbour and bay. All very comfortable ,cool in the hot weather and quiet.A great base to explore the quiet side on Anglesey.

We've stayed here before and returned because we love it.

It's right on the coastal path and very comfortable. Unfortunately the heating broke down before we arrived but we had enough portable heaters to keep us warm.

The cottage was in a lovely situation and well presented.

It contained modern appliances and was well stocked. The only drawback was the lack of wardrobe hanging space.

Well presented property, there was the advantage the owner lived near to sort out a small problem but even so, the cottage itself is a credit to her.
