  • "Excellent cottage with everything needed to have an enjoyable holiday by all members of our extended family."

We did have boiler issues but they were unexpected and the owner went out of his way to make sure we had hot water even offering us the chance to take a shower in his own home. Would highly recommend and we will be back. Thank you

thank you for your feedback and more so for your understanding regarding the boiler you will be please to know we are renewing it on Tuesday and also for leaving the cottage clean and tidy. Islwyn & Pat Property Owner

  • "We had a really lovely stay at this charming cottage."

The place was spotless and the size was perfect for us, the kitchen was well equipped for self catering ! The dinning table and chairs has been changed from the picture on the listing and has been swapped for different ones - this wasn’t an issue just wasn’t as photographed. Also the property is located on a main road - we didn’t notice this from the advert but the paddock has the main road running along side it so it isn’t very private - again not an issue for us just wasn’t clear in the listing !

  • "We enjoyed a great family holiday at Plas Cefn Mawr."

It was a spacious, well equipped, clean and comfortable holiday house. The garden was ideal for the children to run around and enjoy their Easter egg hunt. The location was ideal as we could easily reach all our favourite places on Anglesey including Newborough Forest, beautiful Llandwyn and Plas Newydd.

thank you for your feedback, and for leaving the house clean and tidy. We enjoy sharing the family home with all our guests. Property Owner

  • "We had a wonderful stay at Plas Cefn Mawr, what a beautiful property in a lovely location."

The property is a fantastic size for 8 guests with all the rooms a decent size. The property had 4 good sized bedrooms with plenty of wardrobes for a weeks stay. The beds were all made lovely with plenty of pillows supplied and lovely warm duvets. The kitchen is extremely well equipped with everything you could possible need to cook with from a steamer to slow cooker. The washing machine was also a god send to have as meant we didn’t have to take a mountain of dirty washing home! We absolutely loved the log burner which with it being February and not the best weather we utilised. The outside space is well kept and looks lovely this would be lovely place to sit out in the warmer weather. We would definitely return to this property. Thank you for a lovely stay.

  • "The house and gardens were amazing, however the hot water was not in abundance in the showers, the shower upstairs could not be used and the downstairs shower was intermittent, luckily the house was not at full capacity."

also the WiFi had a very low signal. Due to these problems we will not be returning. I did mention it to the owner when we left.

  • "Oh what can I say, if this cottage was for sale and I could afford it, I would buy it."

Mr and Mrs Owens the owners are a lovely couple. The cottage is beautiful, everything you need is there. The dogs love the paddock. We missed Hippo the Shetland pony this visit, she sadly passed away earlier in the year. The visitors book is full of positive comments, that's all you need to know really. Sadly we cannot go in Septmber as Plas Cefn Mawr is already booked so we are trying another property on Menai's books. My car is on the Google Earth photo of the cottage parked on the driveway lol.

  • "The cottage was absolutely beautiful and the layout was just what we required as we had three generations of family together."

We were in love with the log burner which made every evening so cosy. The bedrooms were so lovingly decorated and I loved waking up every morning and going downstairs to the large kitchen and making coffee for everyone. My Labrador loved the paddock in the morning and we saw Hippo too most days! We loved spending Christmas day here but just wish there had been a few more utensils and pans to deal with a busy cooking day. Apart from that I would recommend this beautiful cottage to friends and family without a doubt. I also loved reading the history of the area and the cottage in the guest help book and would have loved to know more. My grandma was particularly taken with the little window in the lounge! Once again a beautiful and cosy place to stay any time of year.

  • "Plas Cefn Mawr was everything we could have wished for in a holiday cottage."

We were welcomed by the owners Pat and Wynn and once the rest of our family arrived it soon felt like 'home'. The cottage was an old building with lots of interesting history, beautifully decorated but the kitchen was equipped with modern electrical goods. Comfy beds and plenty of room for all our family, six adults, three young children, a toddler and a dog! Our youngsters especially appreciated the field beyond the garden to run off some energy! The cottage was well placed for visiting all of Anglesey's amenities . Just reading the visitors book proved how many other visitors had enjoyed their stay in Plas Cefn Mawr!

  • "Spacious, well-planned, beautifully clean accommodation which really suited our party of 6 plus dog."

Adjacent well-mown field great for games. Safe, gated off- road parking for at least 3/4 cars was excellent. Location convenient for shops in Menai Bridge and quieter beaches of south east Anglesey. The owners were very helpfu and we had a lovely holiday. Thank you.
