  • "We had a brilliant time!"

All the family loved the place and the owner was very helpful. Would definitely like to stay again. It was our first time on Anglesey and great first impression. Thank you!

  • "A delightful converted tack room, it was really spacious, comfortable and cosy!"

We arrived to a Christmas tree, and welcome tray! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was situated, within easy access of places of interest, we went to Llanwddyn and, Newborough Forest / Beaumaris. We would have been out and about more…but the weather was dreadful!

Just one or two things niggled on arrival parked the car and got out then stepped in dog poo we found the doors stuck a bit bed was very comfy can’t say the same for the sofa sat on it and couldn’t get up without a struggle think it’s in need of replacing otherwise a great holiday lots to do and good weather.Linda Edwards.

  • "Thank you for a wonderful stay in the Tack Room."

It was a beautiful old building, much roomier than the photos show, with every facility you could want! Comfortable beds, lovely and clean, good parking... .. every need catered for. Definate bonus having the lovely fields to walk the dog around. Ideally located to explore the island. We'd definitely stay again, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Thank you.

  • "We could not fault the holiday property."

It reached the highest of standards with all that we required. Also it could not have been better situated as it was only a short car journey to the many coastal walks we had decided to do. We would thoroughly recommend Bryn Eira Tach Room to anyone wanting to explore Anglesey.

The cottage is more spacious than the pictures show and well laid out, the Kitchen had everything you could possibly need. Would recommend and hope to return as part of a larger group to stay in the stables.

  • "We had one draw back for us the tack room was situated in the centre of a built up area, which was not ideal for us as the nearest places the dog could run free was quite some way away, restrictions in woods to protect red squirrels, a lot of beaches closed to dogs in summer."

Saying that most places were dog friendly , I recommend the local fish and chips and the pub next door to the chippy. I need to do my research into the area in future, it would suite a small family who are looking for a red squirrels experience but a bit restricted I your dog is not used to being on the lead all the time

The bed was so comfortable, we both slept like a baby. The kitchen was well stocked with crockery and utensils. It was our first visit to Anglesey and enjoyed it tremendously, the beaches were great for the dog. Yes, we would stay there again.

Lovely property with cosy bedrooms & lounge/kitchen diner. Loved the local pictures on the wall. It had everything we needed & lovely walks for the dog across the fields at the back. Great parking too. Would definitely recommend.

Sticking fridge door. Lots of cobwebs inside the windows when we arrived. Cannot understand why you cannot let this property use the games room, it is attached to the property and you can hear people when it is in use.

  • "We had a wonderful stay at the cottage."

Could not really fault it to be honest. Parking was excellent and getting to/from the cottage was easy. The cottage was clean and cosy and there were fields that we could use to walk our dog. I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before but it would be nice in the future if the games room next door could be shared between the 2 cottages rather that being for the exclusive use of the (bigger) cottage. We stayed with our 2 children and they mentioned that they would have loved to play pool or table tennis in the evening but this was not allowed so they were a tad disappointed.

  • "Whilst we had a beautiful week and the cottage was delightful we had only one problem which was that it was extremely cold at night and first thing in the morning, the owner was away on business so we spoke to a representative of hers and she tried to adjust the heating."

The heating only came on for one night and we decided to come home a day early to avoid being so cold again. The only way we could keep warm without having to go to bed early was by putting on the grill to keep us a little warm.

Perfect location to get to most places on the other side of the islan and main land in 15-20 minutes. The property itself the bedroom and bathrooms were really modern and clean. The only downside I’d really say was that the kitchen is a bit tired, some of the veneer is peeling off the cupboard doors and some of the doors are loose, and a couple of the runners in the hallways were a bit stained and dirty in places. Really lucky to have use of the fields around to run our puppy on his lead on for days we didn’t take him places with us. All in all a lovely week away.

We had a lovely holiday, and enjoyed our stay. Everything was very clean, and the beds were comfy. The cosy settees were great to relax on at the end of the day, and the showers were ok. Everything was to our liking, with just a few missing items if we are to be nit-picking: a cheese grater; something to put hot trays on from out of the oven; more crockery, as there's a big dishwasher!

. Comfortable beds and sofas. Pleasantly decorated with prints of Anglesey by Janet Bell on display. Kitchen facilities excellent with washing machine and dishwasher. Tea, milk and sugar and Welsh cakes were very much appreciated after long journey (Slight niggle that utensils were not big enough to cook for four people - tiny saucepan and frying pan but I'm sure that would have been rectified had we asked the owner who came round to check that everything was ok. ) Our second time here and we would definitely come again.

The property

The Tack Room makes up part of the L-shaped Bryn Eira barn conversion which has a courtyard at its centre.

This sweet holiday cottage is nestled near peaceful Anglesey countryside there will be some restrictions about dogs being on leads in some woodlands and on beaches and is on the edge of the famous village of Llanfairpwll.

Just nip off the A55 and you’re more or less at the door! There’s an open plan living space with kitchen, dining and seating areas.

This allows for a sociable holiday - who ever is cooking dinner, can chat with the rest of the family at the same time! The kitchen has an electric oven/hob, a fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, kettle, toaster and microwave.

The round dining table seats up to four people. The squishy sofas are ideal for curling up on with a good book.

Alternatively, there is a TV to keep you entertained after a day of exploring. The master bedroom is a good size with a king size bed and ensuite shower room with shower, loo and wash hand basin.

To the back of the holiday cottage is a twin room with a wardrobe and dresser for storing your clothes.

The large bathroom has a shower, basin, loo and towel rail. There is off-road parking at the front of the holiday cottage with spaces allocated.

At the back of the cottage is a small courtyard which you can sit out in with your morning cup of tea or coffee and enjoy some fresh air.

Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch - or Llanfair PG to the locals- is an ideal location for a holiday cottage.

You’re close to some of Anglesey and North Wales’ finest beaches, attractions, walks and activities.

The village itself has two pubs, a Co-Op, and a petrol garage, meaning the essentials are within easy reach. If there are more than four in your party you can also rent out Bryn Eira Stables (1008716), which sleeps ten and is located on the western side of the courtyard.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £100.

About the location

Menai Bridge 2 miles; Beaumaris 6 miles.

Affectionately known by the locals as Llanfair PG, the Anglesey village of Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrnd robwllllantysiliogogogoch, also known by its shortened name of Llanfairpwllgwyngyll has the longest place name in Europe. It was artificially named back in 1860 as a publicity stunt for the railway station and translates from Welsh as "St Mary's church in the hollow of the white hazel near to the fierce whirlpool and the church of St Tysilio of the red cave". Situated close to the Menai Straits, just off the Britannia Bridge, Llanfair PG has much to offer families. After having your photo taken next to the village nameplate at the railway station, head into the popular visitors centre for local tourist information. A short walk past the octagonal Toll House, towards Menai Bridge, will bring you to the Marquis of Anglesey statue and column which, for a small fee, you can climb the 115 steps to the top for superb views of the countryside and coastline. Nelson’s Monument can be easily reached on the banks of the Menai Straits, passing St Mary’s Church on the way. With several good pubs with restaurants, craft and gift shops and cafes, plus the beautiful Anglesey coastline within walking distance, there is plenty to entertain you all year round.

Note: Cottage is next door to Bryn Eira Stables, does not have use of games room or the pool
Note: one dog with the party is free of charge, 2nd dog is £20 additional.
Note: Please do not use property's electric to charge EV's.
Note: Please note there are two steps down to reach the outside patio at the back of the property.
