  • "Wonderful house, so perfectly situated."

We had a fabulous week away in an idyllic spot. When all you can hear is trickling water, pipping ducklings and squawking jays as you sit in the little suntrap of a terrace eating breakfast, I'd say life was pretty good.

We are so pleased you all had a great holiday. Property Owner

  • "Melin-y-Coed is a lovely property within walking distance of Menai Bridge, with a very well equipped kitchen and comfortable living space."

Great outdoor deck space too - although the weather meant we didn’t make a lot of use of it - and lots of bird life for the children to watch along the creek. We were lucky to be able to book it for a short mid-week trip at rather short notice and we would certainly aim to return for a longer stay.

  • "We had a great time at Melin y Coed what a great property."

Large rooms with great furniture and facilities and in the perfect location beside the River Cadnant. A perfect jump-off point also to see the rest of Anglesey. Very comfortable accommodation with a huge extremely well-equipped kitchen a large living room with a flat-screen TV with loads of games and books to entertain yourself. Loads of outside space overlooking the river with tables and chairs and a BBQ to boot, What more could you want. Like I said what a great time we had!!.

  • "We chose Melin y Coed for a special anniversary, we loved everything about it and even though the weather could have been kinder we managed to sit outside and enjoy the wonderful peaceful surroundings, the wildlife was a joy to watch, 5 baby cygnets, two Mallard families with 8 and 11 chicks respectively, we just watched them grow over the holiday and the sound of the river was just so relaxing."

Lovely, comfortable home with everything you could need, spotless bedding and towels although we did find 13.5 tog duvets far too warm for June but that's our personal opinion and we just took them out. After staying at Melin y Coed would anywhere else match it?, we would love to return and thank you so much to the owners for having us! Apart from the holiday I would like to say a big thank you to all the girls I have dealt with from Menai in Brynsiencyn who have been so helpful over the past two years, wonderful customer service.

  • "Very comfortable, amazed that we had Netflix, not that we really needed it as the weather was excellent Could use a downstairs loo (under the stairs?"

)to minimise wear and tear on the carpets Uncertain about the crack in the tiles all the way across the kitchen floor but presume as the decking has been removed and been replaced with breeze blocks that it has been reinforced Enjoyed seeing the ducks and swan every time the tide came in Good stove with excellent griddle Beds very comfortable

It has a strong history which can be discovered in the Menai Bridge Heritage Museum, the well known Saint Tysilio lived on Church Island, just off of Anglesey in the 7th century, hence the name of the 15th century St. Tysilio's Church. Menai Bridge itself offers a good range of shops, pubs and restaurants to enjoy. In terms of entertainment, this is an ideal spot with something for everybody, there is the butterfly palace 'Pili Palas' which is incredibly popular with families, as well as the astounding Plas Cadnant Hidden Gardens well worth a walk around.
