EVREYTHING WAS THERE, CLEAN AND WELCOMING. THE VIEWS ACROSS THE STRIAT ARE IMPRESIVE. THE COMPLIMENTERY PRESENTS TOPPED IT OFF. WENDY AND ALL THE PEOPLE OF ANGLESEY WERE MOST HELPFULL , FROM SHOPS TO ACTIVITY CENTRES, THE QUALITY IS EXCELLENT. WE WILL CERTIANLY BE RETURNING TO THIS WONDERFUL PART OF WALES.

  • "Wonderful location, thoroughly enjoyed the stay in lovely accommodation."

If some way could be found to provide some better drying facilities this would make life easier for those with young children (we had a baby and a toddler in our party). Otherwise this is a very well equipped property and I would not hesitate to recommend it to friends.

Nothing is too much trouble. This is the second time we have stayed at this property, and we've booked again for next year... Which speaks for itself. The views are unbelievable and make this such a gem.

  • "Have just returned from a lovely week in Anglesey, staying at the Mermaid."

The accommodation is excellent, tastefully furnished and well-equipped. The location is amazing - literally on the beach at the end of a road, so very quiet and secluded. Of course the views from the balcony are to die for. Relaxing in the hot tub after climbing Snowdon, and looking back over the Menai Straits at the mountains was a highlight of the holiday. The kids enjoyed the bunk beds and pootling about on the beach. Lots of family friendly activities nearby (Pili Palas, Sea Farm, Horseriding Centre, Newborough beach, crabbing on Beaumaris pier to name a few). Thanks to grandad babysitting, my partner and I were able to eat at Sosban, the Michelin starred restaurant in Menai Bridge, a treat for foodies. Loved it all so much we are coming back to stay with the Mermaid in October!

Only thing I would say is if travelling with small babies/children be mindful there is big Decking steps up to the property which were steep. We had the best time. Thank you

  • "What a view!"

You can hear the waves from the roof terrace. Excellent accommodation. The apartment was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. Perfect. The views of the sea and the Snowdonia mountain range whilst sat in the hot tub is breathtaking. Such a peaceful and quiet getaway to recharge batteries perfectly placed to get around anglesey.

  • "Overpriced for what it is."

We did wonder why there are no front pictures of the house because there is someone else that lives underneath and you use a staircase at the side of property which is steep and wooden quite slippy when wet. There was no dining table outside like pictures showed. The cushions for the outdoor settee and lounger had been left outside so we couldn't sit in them. Sitting on the rattan was very uncomfortable. There were only 2 toilet rolls in 2 bathrooms for 5 people for 3 nights! The main master bathroom the ensuite shower is really small compared to the bathroom and we couldn't u demand why because the enquire itself is really big(a lot of empty space) . It was certainly not worth £1300 for 3 nights!! Pictures are quite deceiving. The only thing that was lovely was the view of the sea (couldn't sit out long enough though with no cushions) which I guess is why they charge so much!

The property is listed as a spacious apartment being the whole first floor of a former coastal country inn. There is a dining table and six chairs outside and also 2 lie down loungers and rattan seating for 12 people. I am sorry that the cushions were wet as it had been raining during and immediately prior to your stay. I will take your comments onboard and look at getting a cushion store. The ensuite bathroom has a shower, toilet and washbasin as shown in the pictures with ample room. The price you paid was due to it being peak Xmas/New Year prices. The view ia A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. Thanks Property Owner

  • "The location is perfect."

The views are stunning. Other properties in the area wouldn't get as good views as they are not raised up, because this is on the first floor, you can see right along the Menai Straits. The accommodation is spacious and has everything you need for a family holiday. The owner was so helpful. During our stay, the toaster broke. I called her, as it tripped the electrics. She sorted the electrics straight away and had bought and delivered a new toaster to us in hours! The only issue we encountered (if you could even call it that) is that we couldn't find the light switch for the main bathroom. We should've asked really, but felt a bit daft! Probably just us all being dopey. If that's the only problem on a week away, then I think you're doing well! We loved it so much that we booked for next year. Absolute perfection.
