“Lovely 300 year old cottage in a fabulous location.”

    ...

Some drawbacks - the cleanliness took the edge off what should have been a great stay. Kitchen: worktops need replacing (warped and uneven). Upper open shelf needs a good clear out/clean (all containers covered in grease/grime, half-used out-of-date salad dressing etc bottles from previous occupants not disposed of). A bit off-putting. Upstairs: cleaners clearly don’t do any checks (two drawers still had grim sweaty sports clothing left by a previous occupant). Rubbish collection: outside bins full to the brim upon arrival, no information about when they’d be collected, didn’t get emptied until day 13 of my two week stay (6 days after I complained) so we had bags full of recycling piled up.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. The owner has noted your comments and will be looking into the issues but is glad to know that the emptying of some of the rubbish while waiting for the regular collection was helpful. - Sykes owner relations
