The cottage

Ty Llwyd is a holiday cottage in a fantastic location in the coastal village of Trearddur Bay on Anglesey.

It;s ideal for a family seaside holiday as it’s only a two minute walk from several sandy beaches and rocky coves.

There’s a pub in walking distance as well as local shops as well as a choice of places to eat and drink.

Ty Llwyd is a lovely holiday cottage that’s bright and welcoming and offers lovely sea views. There are no less than two spacious sitting rooms.

One offers a TV with comfy sofa and chairs set around a wood burning stove, which makes this a holiday cottage for all seasons!

The other sitting room has two sofas and an ornamental fireplace.

Both rooms have pretty views. There is a stunning kitchen, dining and conservatory area that’s bright and cheerful.

The kitchen is well equipped with a fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and large oven with hobs. Downstairs are two bedrooms: one small double room with a wash basin, and a small bunk room with full-sized bunks.

There is also a shower room with walk in-shower, wash basin and loo. Upstairs is a large twin room and a large bedroom with a king size bed.

The Anglesey Coastal Path is a must if you like walking and there are sandy beaches to explore if you’re looking for a more traditional pastime.

About the location

Holyhead 2 miles.

Trearddur Bay is situated on the western shore of Holy Island. It’s truly beautiful - a great sweep of low grassy coastline indented with rocky coves and fine sandy beaches (European Blue Flag). Watersports, bathing, sailing and windsurfing are the main activities in the summer months and golfers will enjoy the excellent Holyhead 18 hole links golf course. It’s a great place for nature lovers with renowned birdwatching at the South Stack Lighthouse RSPB Reserve and lots of rock pools and cliff top walks to explore. There are shops, pubs and restaurants in Trearddur Bay itself and nearby Holyhead offers a wider range of amenities, including a very good leisure centre, an interesting harbour front, a marina, the world’s second longest breakwater and exciting day trips to Dublin on the ferry. The Maritime Museum in Holyhead has an excellent cafe and the beautiful Holyhead Breakwater Country Park has walks for you to enjoy. Further afield there is the stunning Newborough with its excellent woodland and beach and Beaumaris with its town and castle. A great location with plenty to see and do!
