  • "The property was better than listed and the location simply excellent with easy access to the main bay but quieter coves too."

We’ve stayed in nearly 100 properties over 30 years and this one leapt into our top 3! Not many properties have both that immediate cosey yet homely feel and the outstanding outside space and views all in one this has it in spades! We booked again for next year before we left and can’t wait to return.

  • "The house was great, plenty of room, attractive and well equipped."

It was in a really good position , it looked towards the beach from one of the lounges and was only a few minutes walk away.

  • "Ty Llwyd was a great property with plenty of space indoor and out."

The kitchen was fully equipped with every utensil you would need. The garden space is great for children and dogs with good furniture for catching some sunshine. Great location for the beach and local restaurants and the Sea Croft pub is right across the road.

  • "We really loved the property and had a fabulous time ."

The views are amazing . It’s so well equipt with everything you need . There is loads of space for everyone and the beds are very comfortable. We had an amazing time and will return . In all honesty it’s very hard to find any fault but there were a couple of safety points that would Have helped . The downstairs shower could do with a shower mat as it was a bit sloppy and the head height as you go upstairs could do with a warning . Other than that I would Fully recommend it . Many thanks

  • "Oh my goodness, we were absolutely thrilled with Ty Llwyd!"

When we arrived, the property was so clean, tidy & welcoming. The kitchen was well equipped so we were able to cook proper meals. We felt there was a view from each window and the beds & linen were extremely comfy, it felt like home. The property was spacious and we particularly liked the open kitchen/conservatory. We dined out at Oceans Edge, White Eagle, Seacroft & had hot chocolates at Lola’s. This property is our new favourite so we’ll book again for next year. Fiona Hunter.

  • "Incredible spacious and comfortable accommodation in a fantastic position."

Stunning views, and everything you need. Perfect for a large family holiday. I would definitely recommend this amazing place with a very helpful host. During our stay we had driving rain which caused a minor problem, and Charlotte resolved the problem immediately. Nothing was too much trouble. Fantastic stay!! There is so much to see and do, many bars, restaurants and takeaways within walking distance. The information provided in the property is very helpful. We will definitely return!!

.. which says it all. Idyllic location and accommodation - our second home without a doubt. As our grandchildren grow up they have moved on from the Lego, etc but still love having their kids' den. Pity The Black Seal has closed down but, hopefully, will be re-opened next year ... The Seacroft across the road is pretty basic but OK for a quick snack meal.

  • "Cottage is the perfect location for beach walks and has everything you need."

Amazing view from lounge and would love to stay... with one change!!! However as per previous reviews, the oven doesn't work and as per previous clients it really does impact you when there's 8 guests staying over new year!! It never gets up to a hot temp, you can just about do a pizza in almost an hour. Most annoying is that I even emailed prior to the stay to ask if it had been fixed/replaced but got no reply. At £1,200 for the week can you just replace it!!!!

Thank you for your useful feedback- it's lovely to hear that you enjoyed your stay and the location and views from Ty Llwyd. Regarding the oven, I can assure you that I tested the main electric oven (one of two ovens) just before your stay, and after feedback from a previous guest it was double checked by an oven technician with no faults found. The range does however have a variety of options for settings, so I have therefore produced a new instruction sheet to assist when using the oven Property Owner

  • "Fantastic location by the beach."

Dog friendly (we have two). Garden hose was brilliant after beach walks for the dogs. Secure garden. Plenty of games /DVDs for all. This is the second time we have been here and will be returning next year. Cannot fault it. All you need 'kitchen wise' if you are self-catering.

  • "Everything and more than we expected ."

The house was fabulous my daughters 3 year old twins explored the garden and were ecstatic that there were so many toys to play with, there were a few tears when they had to leave them there! The beds were very comfortable and sheets lovely and soft.very useful layout as nanny could sleep upstairs and have her privacy with my own bathroom. Super views and a great outside seating area. We cooked in quite a lot as that suited the boys after a hot day on the beach and we had everything to hand in the kitchen.Just a short stroll to the beach perfect.

  • "The house commands a great position, but doesn't exactly overlook the bay as described in the profile which was disappointing."

The interiors were tired and in need of freshening up. I've stayed in many holiday properties on Anglesey and I do not understand why this one commanded a £100 household deposit. The windows, TV and mirrors were dirty, there were cobwebs everywhere and several lightbulbs out. It was nice but over-priced. I'd expect higher cleanliness, decoration and furnishings. Saying that, the house was warm, the wifi was great and the kitchen was exceptionally well-equipped.

Trearddur Bay is situated on the western shore of Holy Island. It’s truly beautiful - a great sweep of low grassy coastline indented with rocky coves and fine sandy beaches (European Blue Flag). Watersports, bathing, sailing and windsurfing are the main activities in the summer months and golfers will enjoy the excellent Holyhead 18 hole links golf course. It’s a great place for nature lovers with renowned birdwatching at the South Stack Lighthouse RSPB Reserve and lots of rock pools and cliff top walks to explore. There are shops, pubs and restaurants in Trearddur Bay itself and nearby Holyhead offers a wider range of amenities, including a very good leisure centre, an interesting harbour front, a marina, the world’s second longest breakwater and exciting day trips to Dublin on the ferry. The Maritime Museum in Holyhead has an excellent cafe and the beautiful Holyhead Breakwater Country Park has walks for you to enjoy. Further afield there is the stunning Newborough with its excellent woodland and beach and Beaumaris with its town and castle. A great location with plenty to see and do!
