  • “We stayed for a week at the end of June and the house next door is having a large two storey extension built so the noise was very intrusive.”

There was no information folder either about appliances e.g. hot water thermostat or things to do in area (have stayed in another cottage during Covid where there was one). We all found the beds very hard and uncomfortable. The remedial work in en-suite mentioned in a previous review hasn’t been sorted out. The house is very well resourced e.g. lots of kitchen equipment but is rather tired in places. The garden is in three sections rather than one large plot which maybe an issue for small ...

Thank you for sending in your review. The Owners and Menai were very surprised to receive this as the house receives so many positive reviews and regular returning customers. It is a much loved property and the Owners are always looking at ways of improving guest experience as they want their guests to enjoy the house as much as they do. They will, of course, look at the things you mention, check and remedy if necessary. - Sykes owner relations

The property

Curragho is a great family holiday house in Trearddur Bay on Anglesey.

Shops, lovely places to eat and little coves within walking distance.

Inside, the house is bright, modern and welcoming.

It’s also cosy in the winter too, making it the ideal year-round holiday house by the sea. The sitting room is upstairs to make the most of the gorgeous views of the main beach in Trearddur Bay through the large sliding doors.

Sofas are set around an open fireplace for warmth in colder months.

There is a TV and plenty of games, too!

To one side of the seating area is a breakfast table with chairs.

Step outside the sliding doors and you’ll be on the balcony which has garden furniture.

Sit out here with your morning cuppa, or evening glass of wine! The open plan kitchen and dining space is lovely and sociable.

The kitchen makes cooking easy - a six ring and two oven gas range cooker, larder fridge freezer, microwave, tiled floors are here to use.

There is a separate utility room that has a washing machine, dryer and sink. The large family dining table and chairs is perfect for family suppers - that’s also a wood burning stove for chillier evenings.

French doors lead to the patio area outside with table and chairs. Downstairs are four bedrooms: A double bedroom with an ensuite bathroom with shower over the bath.

In this room, French doors take you out into the garden.

There are two twin rooms, one of which offers access to the garden.

There is also a room with bunks set at right angles so adults may sleep comfortably in these.

Please be advised that the bottom bunk is three-quarter in size. The family bathroom has a bath, shower, loo and wash hand basin.

There is a further wet room with shower basin and loo - the ideal place to head after coming from the beach to wash off sandy toes! The garage offers plenty of space for drying wetsuits, kayaks, or general storage of outdoor gear. Trearddur Bay is a bustling seaside town on the west coast of Anglesey.

There is so much to do here, including sailing, windsurfing, diving, skiing and swimming.

There is a sandy Blue Flag beach with plenty of quaint little coves and bays surrounding it.

Shops and places to eat and drink are a short stroll away.

This is a year-round holiday house, ideal for a family holiday be the sea!
