  • “Lovely house with wonderful views and easy access to great walks and activities.”

We really enjoyed coming back each day to use the hot tub. Overall, we had a great week at Gwylan Uchaf and would happily rebook.

The property

Gwylan Uchaf is a holiday house located on a quiet residential estate in the marina village of Y Felinheli in Snowdonia.

It has a large garden complete with hot tub, and great sea views across the Menai Strait and over towards the island of Anglesey.

With a backdrop of the stunning mountains of Snowdonia, Gwylan Uchaf is the perfect holiday house for couples and families looking to have a holiday as a group.

Choose from a relaxing stay soaking up the views, an activity packed break, or gather everyone together to celebrate a special occasion such as that special birthday or anniversary. The spacious kitchen-diner offers a well equipped kitchen with electric oven and grill, gas hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave and toaster.

There is a utility on the lower ground floor with a washing machine. Also in this space is a dining table with chairs which boasts brilliant views.

The balcony has chairs on from which you can enjoy the view - maybe even with a cheeky glass of wine!

The main sitting room has comfy sofas set around the TV and gorgeous wood burning stove which adds warmth and extra comfort during the cooler months. There’s an additional snug with a corner leather sofa and chair, and yet again, there’s a superb view. A study is just off the sitting room which has a desk and a couple of chairs. On the lower ground floor is a master double with en suite wet room with shower, loo and wash hand basin.

On this same floor are two more double bedrooms and a twin bedroom as well as a family bathroom that has a bath with shower over, loo and wash hand basin. On the ground floor is a double bedroom and shower room with shower, loo and wash hand basin. To the back of the house is a garden with patio, lawn and shrubbed areas.

This is also where you’ll find the hot tub!

Garden furniture is provided for sitting in the sunshine.

The front garden is terraced.

There is parking on the driveway for two small cars. Gwylan Uchaf is a holiday house in an elevated position overlooking the village of Y Felinheli.

The shore and marina are within walking distance - a favourite guest pastime is watching the boats and sailing activity here.

There’s also a gastropub, seafood restaurant and a village shop for your essentials.

Cyclists can make the most of Lon Las cycle and footpath that takes you to the picturesque historic town of Caernarfon, four miles away.

Here you can visit the castle or jump aboard the Welsh Highland Railway for a scenic steam train ride through majestic Snowdonia.

You can also access beaches, mountains and stunning vistas from this fabulous family holiday house.

You’ll be able to make the most of a holiday in North Wales as Snowdonia, Anglesey and the Llyn Peninsula are all accessible from here for day trips.
