Ardlui Church is a homely converted church set in Inverarnan, Argyll and Bute.

Surrounded by open countryside, fields, and woodland, offering a characterful stay for families and friends looking to explore Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park, this abode boasts a bubbling hot tub, partial ground-floor living and two jacuzzi baths.

Pull onto the gravel drive where ample parking awaits and pause to take in the setting, with the stone exterior of this lovely quirky church conversion rising against a backdrop of open fields and wooded pockets.

Step out into the fresh air, with the gentle presence of a nearby river adding to the sense of being immersed in the landscape, before making your way inside.

Move through into the kitchen, where you can ease into your stay by preparing breakfast or setting up for the evening meal, the space lending itself to relaxed mornings and unhurried cooking.

Continue into the living and dining room, where you can settle into the seating as the electric fire casts a warm glow, gather around for meals, or enjoy a film on the Sky TV with the surround sound creating an inviting atmosphere for evenings in together.

As you explore further, you will find three bedrooms arranged to suit a group of up to six guests.

Head upstairs to discover the master bedroom, where light filters in through Velux windows, creating a bright outlook that connects you to the landscape beyond, alongside a twin room offering a flexible space for family or friends, while the additional ground-floor double provides convenience for those who prefer to stay on one level.

When it is time to unwind, step into one of the bathrooms and sink into the jacuzzi bath, letting the warmth soothe tired limbs after a day of exploring, or begin the morning with a refreshing walk-in shower to set you up for the day ahead.

Step outside into the garden, where the lawn and patio invite you to spend time outdoors, whether that is enjoying a meal at the barbecue or simply sitting back and taking in the surrounding countryside.

As evening draws in, slip into the hot tub and let the bubbles ease you into the slower pace of your surroundings, while the nearby river offers opportunities for waterside walks, access towards the loch, and a chance to explore watersports close to home.

A shop can be reached with a short walk for any essentials during your stay.

Venture out to Ardlui and the edge of Loch Lomond, where boat trips glide across the water, revealing sweeping views of the surrounding hills, scenic walking routes trace the shoreline, and quiet spots invite you to pause and take in the ever-changing scenery.

Head towards Killin to witness the Falls of Dochart rushing through the centre of the village, spend time in welcoming cafés, and follow trails that lead out into the surrounding countryside for a rewarding walk.

Within Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park, discover forest paths winding through towering trees, viewpoints opening out across lochs and glens, and opportunities for cycling and wildlife spotting that make each day feel varied and memorable.

Ardlui Church offers a distinctive base in Inverarnan, Argyll and Bute, bringing together character features, countryside surroundings, and access to some of Scotland’s most celebrated landscapes.

What guests are saying

Thanks for a wonderful week at Ardlui.

We loved the Church and the Rennie MacKintosh influences. The cottage is beautifully decorated and the living room is especially stunning. Everything you could want for a comfortable week. We were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights on our first night!
