"The Stables was lovely, our main issue was the isolation."

Situated at the end of a long single track road, the bungalow is very isolated. The internet because it's in a valley, was almost non-existent and that caused problems for two members of my family. It wasn't really possible to walk into town for a drink because most of the roads are single lane with no paths or street lighting. That said, the Stables was probably one of the best equipped and most comfortable places that we've stayed in. It was easy to go out and about but you did need a car. The owner was very helpful and welcoming. For us it was about the isolation of The Stables.

"Perfect holiday accommodation but the outside wooden chairs and table need "sanding down" and a coat of varnish."

Thank you for providing wonderful facilities in a great isolated location. We will definitely be back in the future.

"In a lovely quiet location the Stables was comfortable, homely and had everything we needed including some great wildlife."

The River Ayre Way is just a short distance from the house and provided an excellent walk alongside the river and through beautiful woodland.

( nice welcome tray with tea/coffee/sugar, milk, bread & jams) Outstanding views in a very peaceful setting. Lovely river walk right by the cottage which our dog loves ! Lots of interesting places to visit near by if you want to. We have stayed in this cottage before, and look forward to staying again. Highly recommend. Thank you :)

"We previously stayed here in February 2023, but found the property less comfortable this time."

The property was freezing cold when we arrived as if there had been no heating on for some time (the settings on the controls confirmed this) The king size bed was uncomfortable as the mattress needs replacing and the wifi was very poor. The property is in a lovely peaceful area and is well-equipped and clean.

"Very comfortable holiday home, perfect, probably the best I have stayed in."

BUT the location was for us, personally, far too off the beaten track. If you are looking for peace and quiet and a base for rambling and fishing, then this might be just meet your requirements.
