It’s our third time of staying and it ticks all of the boxes for our varied age group.

We are return visitors to this accommodation we keep returning as we are a four generation family an this house an all it’s facilities meets all our families needs helping us be all together an making a holiday full of wonderful memories we came with my 90 year old mum an our two beautiful granddaughters we all had an amazing time the only problem was it went to quickly

Had a lovely holiday at llys offa the owner was very accommodating and replied asap with any queries 6 adults and 4 children (young children need to be supervised at all times outside ) Very comfortable beds pool and snooker room a massive hit .

So good rebooked for next year

Nice property, lovely location.

We had a couple of maintenence issues, one resolved quickly but no reaction to the other. One of the main reasons for booking was the heated pool. Unfortunately it was cold from day 2 which we communicated but no attempt to resolve the problem. ⁹

We recently visited your lovely house we stayed for one week we had a wonderful memorable time with our family of four generations from my 21 again mother to our beautiful granddaughters our every need an comfort was met from fun an games in the pool to family meals altogether to evenings of playing cards an laughter what more can I say that we have already booked next years holiday already returning to this beautiful family home just god willing we all return to experience the memories once again priceless thank you

We had a fantastic holiday at Llys Offa.

Would highly recommend for a family to enjoy some quality time together. The property was clean and tidy and everything worked as it should. There are local shops not to far away (driving 3/4 minutes or 20 minute walk). Surrounding area is lovely if you like to go on walks. The pool was a big hit and we enjoyed some fun times as a family in there. The beds were also very comfortable. I could not fault our stay one bit we all loved it and we were absolutely gutted we had to leave.

We were 5 old guys having a reunion wanting to share some time together playing snooker.

So the property for us was perfect. We did visit the local NT properties as well. We would suggest the oven should be replaced....it needed professional clean and bottom oven did not work properly. The dishwasher would not have been adequate for a larger party. Little things like no washing up liquid was annoying and it would have been good to have information on surrounding attractions and restaurants/pubs. The bedrooms, bathrooms, lounges, outdoor spaces were all excellent. We had a memorable time.

The property is spacious, well sized and maintained and in a good location.

The snooker table was a bit hit with everyone. The only downside has been lack of hot water in the showers upstairs, resulting in some of us ending up with cold showers in this winter and others queuing up for the downstairs shower. This has been a major inconvenience considering we were 11 of us staying in the property. Everything else was great and the property owner was kind and approachable all the time and provided lot of information about the property and places to visit.

Great house. Suited our needs. Clean and welcoming. Plenty of space for our family of 10. Living room and snooker room are fully separate and not part of the open plan. So able to take time out to chill if needed. Lovely pool and gardens. Will definitely be back. Thanks

We had a fabulous break at LLYS OFFA, the house is homely comfortable and well equipped.

The swimming pool was a huge success as the children were in it every day. The gardens are well maintained, but whilst our large dog had no desire to get through any gaps it might be a consideration for other guests with smaller ones. Other comments have mentioned that maybe some of the furniture is dated but as its all comfortable it really was not an issue The owner sends detailed instructions prior to arrival which are useful in navigating around this big house and advice for using the facilities. We would definitely book this property again and hope to return soon There are some lovely places to visit such as Alyn Waters Country Park and Erddig National Trust Property all within a 10 mile radius of the house

Lovely property in a peaceful location.

We were about 10 or 15 minutes from Llangollen. Plenty of garden for our little dog to run around in. The older kids took a walk through the stream with the wellies that were provided. The swimming pool was clean and great fun. The snooker table was great as well as the other board games that was provided. Lots of little extras incase you forgot (much appreciated) such as hand wash in each bathroom, towels for each bedroom, tea towels, a few dishwasher tablets and washing up liquid. There was a swimming pool inflatable and noodles. Had a great family break. We will be back!

Excellent property for a large family or group, with ample space.

Snooker table and swimming pool were a welcomed added addition. If we lived a bit closer we would definitely use this venue more often.

Lovely property, well maintained.

Heated Pool was a big hit with the children, snooker room was great.Tranquil location, yet not far from supermarkets and pubs and food outlets.We are a four generational family and there was space for everyone to enjoy their break.

Lovely property suited our families needs spacious for all our family would recommend an most certainly return we did visit 9 years ago an was happy then as we are now thank you .

Great spaces for my whole family. Kitchen well equipped bedrooms all very spacious and beds super comfortable. Everywhere spotlessly clean. We had a issue with the central heating which was very promptly sorted. Garden lovely. Great location within easy reach of lots of wonderful countryside.

The televisions were not able to get access to programmes to programmes.

The leather furniture in the lounge was quite old and worn.

The house was just as it said on the itinerary we had two tiny faults which was sorted within 10 minutes exellent service the house I would very highly recommend fantastic holiday will be going back

We have a lovely family weekend at Llys Offa .

The house has separate rooms downstairs so people can go in the games room while others are watching tv and no one is disturbed. The pool is great and the kids and adults had lots of fun . All in all a great find .

A very relaxing spacious property.

Everything provided for a lovely family holiday. The beds were amazing. Our family enjoyed the pool and the space to run around. The owner checked in with us to make sure of anything we needed. We all enjoyed our stay.

We all had an amazing holiday at Llys Offa and were really lucky to have better weather than forecast.

Lots of lovely dog walks and rivers. Everyone loved the swimming pool, snooker table and showers. Great memories made.

Lovely house and gardens.

Everything we needed was already there. The swimming pool was a great success, the children were in it every day. Would definitely be looking to book again if we can all get time off together again.

We enjoyed our stay, very good facilities.

The out door pool and the snooker table made all the difference. The property size is perfect for large families. However, the general appearance and decor could do with updating. The kitchen facilities were very good and instructions very clear. All guest commented how comfy the beds were. There was wasp nest on the side of the house and the owner dealt with it straight away. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

This property was not as advertised in the pictures when booked they have since been updated after a complaint.

The property had many faults, lights hanging off walls, door handles hanging on for dear life, dirty and ripped furniture, the outside area needed some tlc. And the floor boards were all chip or raised making them a danger to children or someone with mobility issues as a trip hazard. The owner thought our complaints were laughable and knew about all the issues with the property for several years doing nothing about them, but didnt think any problems with letting people stay. The owner claimed to be contactable during our stay, we asked for a light bulb to be changed a simple request as not working and never heard back from him. Be warned you wont receive your good housekeeping bond back within a week this was delayed and then excuses made. Skyes have investigated all the issues raised and have said they are now rectified. Skyes have been amazing throughout keeping us informed would recommend them for any holidays but i wouldnt recommend this property.

Excellent comfortable accommodation with lot's of facilities the swimming pool was well received.

The garden patio area and furniture could do with a bit of TLC but we had a great time.

Lovely property, really clean and comfy and had everything we needed!

My only gripe, and it didn’t ruin for us, is that it needs a bit of tlc….especially the outside patio area and the swimming pool.

A wonderful family holiday in a beautiful area.

The house was fabulous, so spacious and with plenty to keep three generations comfortable and occupied. The swimming pool was a huge hit with all, even in early April. We will be booking again soon!

We had an absolutely fabulous stay at Llys Offa for my husbands surprise 65th birthday.

As a family of snooker players this property was perfect everybody enjoyed spending hours playing the game. The property is large so even though there was 10 of us we didn’t feel like we were on top of each other. The house is in a perfect location, ideal for exploring Chester ( we went to the Christmas market) or for going on long walks in some beautiful countryside. We didn’t use the swimming pool because of the freezing temperatures but it looked great for a summer holiday. The owner had put up Christmas lights outside and a tree indoors which was really lovely and made it very festive. Will definitely book again sometime; great place for a large group of family and friends.

We had a fabulous holiday - a special family birthday celebration.

The owner gave us lots of tips of places to go, walks and sites to see. There are National Trust places nearby also and not too far to drive to the sea. The snooker table and swimming pool were used every day (although we did have to top up the pool from time to time). Would definitely book this amazing property again. Thanks

We had a wonderful holiday at Llys Offa although there were a few Niggly that needi addressing.

Shower in downstairs bathroom is very very slippery. Pool had to be topped up every day with cold water. Duvet cover to small for duvet. But that didn't stop us having a wonderful holiday . Many thanks to the owner.

We had amazing stay to walk into a spotless house makes ir holiday everything was A1 i couldnt fault a thing the pool was a real high lgt and the snooker table was used every ngt huge amount of fun there was lots of different ages but no one had a moan about anything it a 1st class property and everyone treated it with respect the huge table we all sat round at least 4 times made the hol a proper family affair i woud tell anyone whod listen u go stop there i hope we can again thank u to the cleaner gardener caretaker for keeping the property so well

Llys Offa is a beautiful house in attractive grounds which accommodated our family of 11, in comfortable rooms throughout.

The kitchen was massively well equipped ( although requiring some order in the storage of utensils, glasses etc) making for easy cooking, and the dining room enabled the meals to be served easily to the whole family. The snooker room and pool kept everyone happily occupied on site and the location was very convenient for local shops, buses and the railway station - 4 minutes in the car to the supermarket and station. We had a minor problem with the television, but Julian, the caretaker helped within a half hour of our contacting him, and the owner was very helpful in resolving the problem. I would highly recommend Llys Offa to any multi- generational family.

We had a wonderful family holiday ay Llys Offa.

The house is very comfortable and the swimming pool and snooker table were well used. The kitchen is really well stocked with cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils, which isn't always the case in a holiday let. There is a lot to do in the area and we would particularly recommend a walk hrough the woods opposite the property and The Boat at Erbistock for a fabulous meal. Local people were very friendly and helpful. Altogether a great, relaxing holiday.

Fantastic property.

Loved the master bedroom suite with a balcony which caught the afternoon sun. Pool was a good temperature for exercising. A full sized snooker table - WOW. Train station a twenty minute walk away but no train noise - ideal for outings. Am definitely hoping to stay there again.

The property was very comfortable with good facilities that enabled the family to have a good holiday.

The kitchen was well stocked but you had to search cupboards for utensils etc as there was no order as to where things were kept. The oven worked well but is in need of a good clean. When we did have a problem with the hot water and contacted the caretaker, he was at the house sorting it out within 5 minutes an amazingly good response. The swimming pool was great and used throughout the week. It would have been nice to have had more information about the local area, such as walks and facilities. The internet was very good. The snooker table was in constant use a great leisure facility. Our dog and family enjoyed the large garden area. Overall I feel I can recommend the property for family get together, just the few points I raised stopped me highly recommending the property..

We really enjoyed our stay and the property more than accommodated the 11 of our family.

The only fault we found was the downstairs toilet light did not work (we tried replacing the bulb) and it hindered my visually impaired father but we accommodated for this ourselves. The house was everything we expected it to be and would highly recommend it

We booked the house for a family wedding over a long weekend.

We required a house that could cater for our elderly grandmother plus 3 babies. This house did everything. The downstairs bedrooms and bathroom were ever so helpful. There is lots of space to spread out and allow everyone what they need. The games room was a hit! We didn’t use the pool but it appeared clean and tidy. The kitchen was well equipped. The instructions for accessing the property were detailed and easy to follow. It meant we could all arrive separately but still be able to get in. The location is beautiful. Lots of walking around the local area and although lovely in November, it would be brilliant as a summer location. We’d definitely visit again.

We have just returned from this property we had a great weekend with everything we needed.

The house is very spacious, clean and well equipped. The pool was a bonus and very popular with the children. The owner was very helpful and we would definitely return to this property.

We only had two days of good weather to enjoy days out, but my grandsons made full use of the swimming pool and games room.

Excellent internet connection. The owner dealt with any questions promptly. It’s a fabulous holiday home and we’d definitely book again.

Llys Offa is an extremely spacious property for a family gathering with high quality and comfortable rooms.

The covered pool is a great facility for both adults and children and there is plenty to attract both nearby and in North Wales generally.

The house was really great, so much space for our family of nine, comfy beds and the pool was great - warn enough to spend a decent amount of time in but strong smell of chlorine, however if you leave the door open for a bit it subsides.

Sauna was broken for the first half of our stay but they got it fixed while we were there and it was really good - enough room for three people at a squeeze (I had to coordinate with the handyman a few days). Would stay again as the location is great for tourist attractions like the aqueduct and Chester zoo. Be aware that the return of the housekeeping bond was over a week and a half late from the owner despite chasing a few times (you pay the owner directly, not through Sykes). Sykes had said they would reimburse us if it was late but then I could never get through to them on the phone!

The house is spacious and cosy and the pool was warmer than expected.

We loved watching the squirrels play through the skylight windows and the Robins out the front. A fab family home!

This is a lovely house and a very social space.

The owner couldn't be more helpful and knew the local area well, having lived at the property before renting it out. We ate out a few times at the Trotting Mare which is about 15mins away and that was brilliant too.

Fab place cannot fault facilities.

Plenty of space. Games room massive with plenty to do. Pool was great. Pity it could not have the cover opened as demonstrated on Sykes website. You need to update this in line with owners instructions. The owner very helpful and appreciated him dropping by. Had a problem with a wasp nest but I am sure it will get sorted. Group of 8 and two dogs loved the holiday

Stunning property and had a fantastic isolated week with the family

The house was excellent, comfortable, well furnished, clean and we had a great weekend.

Also the owner and Sykes were great when we needed flexibility due to a family incident,

Fantastic home for large family get togethers.

The home is designed in such a way that there is plenty of space for everyone to gather in the same space or for groups of people to engage in different activities in separate parts of the house. Plenty of bathrooms and toilets too!

Pure luxury did not want to go home so peaceful

We were pleasantly surprised when the owner called to say he would call on us to check that we were happy with everything which we thought was very thoughtful.

He didn't want to impose on us and said he wouldn't come in the house but we invited him in and had a good chat.

The property is extremely well equipped.

Sky TV in several rooms, a full size snooker table, a piano and a heated pool are brilliant extras. The listing on Sykes does show the swimming pool with a retractable roof which the owners don’t allow so I think this should be corrected. The caretaker couldn’t have been more helpful when contacted with a very minor issue. The house is very well configured with lots of space both inside and outside- ideal for bringing extended family together. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the property and have already booked a return visit.

We stayed during the very hot weather at the end of July - the pool was great for cooling off and good for swimming lengths. There is surround sound in the lounge which adds to the cinema experience. There are branches of most supermarkets within a short driving distance (10-15 mins) and points of interest e.g. Pontcysyllte viaduct and Erddig (NT property) nearby.

It would be helpful if there was a pad key inside the gate to leave the property as well outside

LLYS Offa was a lovely house,very well equipped,perfectly suited for our party of 8 adults,2 children and our family dog.

The weather was tremendous so used the pool extensively ,Description was accurate and as advertised. There is quite a large drop down to the stream so you have to keep your eye on small children. The grounds needed some pruning and weeding,however this did not stop us enjoying all the facilities. Would consider returning.

Beautiful location. A shame we couldn't use the pool as it was too cold as the heater was broken.

This cottage is amazing.

So much space and in beautiful surroundings. The security around the pool was really good, this was something that had concerned me before getting there. The stream is a little bigger than advertised though.

Very special place.

Our pre Christmas family gathering was made extra special by the exceptional comfort and facilities at Llys Offa. Clean, warm and very comfortable. Well equipped (except for a decent can opener. Ha ha) Full sized snooker table, sauna and swimming pool, kept all ages happy for hours. Lovely countryside walks straight out of the front door. Many happy hours reinforcing existing dams on the river upstream and playing pooh sticks off the bridge. Perfect for laying down wonderful memories. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

The operator phoned the owner of the house to ask if I could take an extra dog as the person who was meant to look after mine had had a stroke and got back to me straight away

Garden could do with weeding but that didn't affect our holiday.

the facilities at the house were fabulous the pool and snooker table were a great addition, everyone had a great time and would love to return.
