7 Marl Croft

Great bungalow, one of the cleanest that l've ever stayed in.

Very comfortable, had everything that we need. Brilliant quiet location.

Our second visit to this beautiful bungalow, and hopefully it will not be our last.

The cleanliness, comfort and attention to detail are second to none. There was a great Welcome Pack and lots of extra little touches to ensure we had a relaxing stay. Location is perfect, with easy walking from the door to a local park, and we also had some lovely riverside walks and visits to Chester.

Spacious bungalow furnished to a high standard.

Michelle and Lee are perfect hosts and are on hand to attend to any problems. The property is ideally situated close to a bus stop for travel to the city centre or train station for an inexpensive trip to Liverpool, the park and ride site plus two supermarkets.

Although this was our 5th visit the standards are still high.

Michelle and her team should be proud of the facilities offered, Comfy beds with quality bedding.A great Lounge/Dining Room. Well equipped Kitchen (cannot think of anything missing)A very large Conservatory with comfy seating, A lovely secluded garden with seating for sun and shade, Situated in a quiet cul de sac only minutes from a bus stop and 2 Supermarkets. We highly recommend this property. PERFECT!

Clean and comfortable accommodation.

A real 'home from home'. Excellent location. Would recommend.

all round very good property, everything was clean, tidy and a joy to come home too.

Very close to amenities but in a quiet area

Lovely property clean and tidy.

..a lovely location nice and quiet good to have a driveway... If you want to stay in Chester it's a good place to stay I've stayed in some other properties in Chester but I will always book this now if I stay in Chester....... Thanks for a.great stay...

I've rented the place for 10 days for my family to stay.

They absolutely loved the house and surroundings. Everything was clean and tidy, and the house is really charming. 10/10

Exceptional accommodation , great attention to details.

Can't find any fault.

Our third visit to this immaculately appointed bungalow.

Spotlessly clean and very tastefully furnished throughout. A very generous welcome pack much appreciated! Ideally situated for visiting Chester and surrounding areas (bus stop at the end of the road). Recommend Katies Tea Room in Chester for afternoon tea and the Cheshire Cat in Christleton for lunch and dinner.

Very comfortable bungalow - only a few minutes drive into Chester city centre.

Great for exploring - a perfect base for visiting not only Chester but also Liverpool, Port Sunlight and North Wales. Facilities excellent and well thought out- the owner left us a substantial welcome pack on arrival making us feel at home straight away. Communication with Sykes / the owner also great

A lovely spotlessly clean cottage with every facility you could wish for provided by an owner who clearly cares about her guests.

A very comfy house to stay in, good facilities overall and clean and well maintained.

Well equipped with nice welcome pack. Nice to be able to park at house. Neighbours seemed very friendly and helpful too. Perhaps people with mobility issues might find the low level toilet not so easy to use. Overall a lovely place to stay.

lovely bungalow, furnished to a high standard, owner was lovely and gave us a welcome card and pack, the little touches was appreciated and made us feel very welcome thank you.

Marl Croft is a really exemplary holiday let, by far the best we have stayed at in the last twenty years.

Another enjoyable break at this 5 star holiday home.

Everything top class clean and well equipped. We particulary like the Conservatory and the secure rear garden, In a quiet cul de sac 1 minute from the bus stop. Wrexham one way and Chester the other which stops outside the Railway Station and Bus Station for onward journeys. Well done Michelle and The Team

A spacious bungalow in an ideal location for exploring Chester and surrounding areas.

It was quiet, light and a very nice place to spend a week in. Would definitely recommend this property.

Had a wonderful week in this beautiful bungalow, in a quiet cul-de-sac, but within easy reach of Chester.

A few minutes walk to the local bus stop, or a couple of minutes drive to the nearby Park & Ride, which we used several times - a £2 return ticket (P&R) on the bus took you right to the centre very quickly, without the stress of city driving. The goodies left in the welcome pack were also much appreciated and lots of info with ideas of places to see in and around the area. We even had a day trip to Liverpool without the car - service bus from just round the corner to the railway station, then cheap day return from Chester to Liverpool. Although the car was very handy, you could stay here easily without a car.

Used this property twice now.

very good location, actually bigger than it looks on the pictures, always immaculate with a few additions thrown in. Comfortable beds, very quiet location Ideal for Chester and North Wales. Having used Sykes cottages for quite a few years, this is one of the best.

With decades of self catering behind us we can see this is one of the best we have stayed in.

Clean, comfortable, quiet, convenient to shops & public transport in to the centre of Chester. Everything we required was available. It was a pleasure to be there.

A very comfortable, quiet place to stay for a visit to Chester and surrounding area.

Attention to detail in the facilities provided, with suggestions welcomed and actioned.

Very convenient, yet quiet location.

We walked to most places from there, but there is a bus stop located on the main road just a few minutes from the property. Facilities in the property are very good, kitchen very well equipped. We met the owner, who was very pleasant and helpful. All in all a home from home.

Another fantastic stay at this fabulous bungalow.

Really can’t fault it at all! Well equipped with everything you need (and more) for a long, or short, stay. Wonderful welcome goodies - very appreciated - and a lovely, friendly host. You really couldn’t choose a better place to stay.

Great location for a shopping mini-break with Chester, Liverpool, and Cheshire Oaks nearby but also good for a longer break to see Cheshire countryside and across to North Wales.

The property was finished to a high-standard with plenty of space. Nice and peaceful area too. And the welcome hamper was a lovely touch

Loved staying at the bungalow.

We have just booked another 2 stays while we wait for our next house move to complete. Lovely (and very appreciated) goodies left for us, and excellent responses from the cleaning company. Definitely one of the best places we have stayed; with everything we needed supplied. Quiet, clean, and handy for visiting local attractions.

A very comfortable holiday cottage with everything needed for our stay.

A real home from home.

The bungalow was immaculately clean, well equipped and very comfortable.

It's in a quiet road and close to local amenities. It's a great base for exploring Chester and beyond. This was our second visit and we've booked to come again in the summer.

Comfortable and well equipped.

A great base for a week exploring the area A generous welcome pack which was lovely . We hope to return at some point and would definitely book Marl Croft again.

Five star accommodation.

Our second visit. Will definitely go again.

Wonderful bungalow in a lovely quiet location, yet close to big Sainsbury's.

Thanks goes to the very thoughtful owner Michelle for the welcome gifts and also for making the bungalow feel like home from home..... We haven't stayed anywhere before, that has had so much provided for guests (the kitchen had oven gloves, graters, bottle opener, trays etc and there was even shampoo and shower gel in the bathroom). I would recommend this Bungalow and would stay again if revisiting Chester.

Comfortable and clean house located in a quiet area.

Chester centre is around 30 mins walk, either by main road or along the canal. There is a bus stop just around the corner. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would book again for a return visit to Chester.

Enjoyed our stay at Marl Croft, great base to enjoy surrounding area.

Bungalow spotless & well equipped, welcome pack was a lovely surprise.

The property is a credit to the owner it is extremely well maintained, clean, and with all the amenities you would require.

It is in lovely location very peaceful within easy reach of Chester city centre 35min walk or 10 min on bus. A Shopping centre and superstore is 5 mins walk from property. Michelle the owner was a lovely lady and was a pleasure to meet. We had no hesitation in rebooking for this property.

cleaner.

Our second enjoyable visit to this lovely cottage. An immaculate presentation a credit to the Owners and the cleaner. Top quality beds and furnishings. Short walk to good bus service into Chester. Useful for those who may wish for a break from driving. We will be back.

This property was much bigger than we initially expected it would be.

It was exceptionally clean , well presented and maintained and very comfortable. There were some nice thoughtful touches and a lovely welcome pack. We had no issues at all, and would be happy to stay again. The weather was not kind to us but the property certainly made up for it.

We had a lovely holiday at Marl Croft.

It's a wonderful, clean, spacious and peaceful bungalow - a home from home. We'd love to stay again.

The bungalow is a real home from home and I can recommend as a multi generation holiday stay.

It is ideally situated for trips into Chester and the surrounding areas by car, public transport, bike or walking on cycle routes. The owner actively seeks feedback from your stay and has been very proactive on comments left by previous guests with regards to maintenance or the addition of items such as black out blinds, over shower caddy, clothes dryer etc which we were able to benefit from. The bungalow was fresh and all areas were clean when we arrived. The beds are comfortable and the cupboards have lots of additional pillows, blankets and spare bedding should you need them. A very well equipped and run property.

Had About 15-20 Sykes cottages and it was one of the best

The cottage was excellent, really enjoyed our stay.

As three generations, it was excellent having 3 places to watch tv, on the odd occasion we were not playing games or cards. Lovely kitchen wish i had one that size at home, everything we needed at more in the kitchen and the rest of the house. Will be back next time we are done in Chester. We left a few things in comments that were things that could help like us that are older and disabled for the bathroom, like a stool on also there was a metal rack for putting your soap etc but it was on the floor and difficult to get it, one that went over the top would be easier. Must not forget the lovely welcome basket, wine, biscuits, cheese, fruit juice, milk . An excellent property .

We loved our stay in the very comfortable bungalow.

The bathroom was large and so was the conservatory. The beds were comfortable. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. The goodies left for us were very welcome and a lovely touch. The kitchen was well equipped and it was great to have properly big mugs for our morning coffee. The cul-de-sac was nice and quiet and with local amenities very close by. It's a great location to explore Chester and the wider area. We loved it so much we've already booked to stay again!

Beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean.

Very comfortable and fully equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Very quiet residential area with good bus routes into Chester. In over 20 years of staying in self catering accommodation this has to be one of the best properties we have stayed in!

Very clean and comfortable.

Everything we needed was available

Very clean and comfortable and an extremely well-equipped house.

We really enjoyed our stay there and will definitely include it again in our UK holiday. Thanks

A beautifully kept property.

Ideal for local attractions. Welcome basket much appreciated, we had a great stay.

The accommodation is excellent.

All the little extras one might need were provided. The bungalow is located is located in a peaceful and quiet cul-de-sac. Highly recommended.

Beautiful home from home

Very Nice bungalow, very clean and quiet.

everything is provided that one would expect and a few things more.. The only things I would change are adding linings to the curtains, if you are a fairly light sleeper, the curtains are so thin that the light comes through at 4 am. A black bin liner hung over them soon sorted it. A clothes line would be useful to hang out the towels to dry. The location is very good and the general quality is really excellent. Quite happy to use it again.

A superb cottage spotlessly clean and fully equipped.

A great effort has been made to provide everything one could need for an ideal and relaxing holiday. A perfect location for peace and quiet but nearby bus stops allows anyone who wishes to leave their car on the drive and take advantage of the excellent local bus services.

Marl Croft was a nice bungalow that felt like a peaceful retreat.

It was well situated with easy access to the A55 into Wales or alternatively Ellesmere Port and the retail outlet but in a quiet location with nothing but birdsong in the morning. There is also a good sized sainsburys in 5 mins walking distance. We walked from here up towards town along Dee banks with views over the river and meadows - it’s a 40 min walk with kids but worth it. The house itself was clearly recently refurbished and the bedding was all new, with very comfortable beds. There was plenty of space for our family of five. We had a couple of issues we reported at the end of our stay and they were resolved by the property owner who responded quickly. Thank you also for the coronation day basket of treats on our arrival- a really lovely surprise!

The property is outstanding the provision and attention to detail is professional and the quality of the bedding towels and decorations is again outstanding The location is quite and relaxing and again this is supported by a lovely bungalow to stay in

Three of my friends stayed in this holiday cottage and they all loved it.

Thank you.
