• "Can't fault the cleanliness and standard of the lodge."

• "This was our 2nd stay this year."

  We enjoyed our stay as much as the first time. The caravan was really clean, everything was there we needed. Lovely and quiet. It’s also Dog Friendly which for us is perfect. We really love it there, and we will be back again.

• "Spotlessly clean."

  Very nice caravan, only slight problem being no room to move in bedrooms and no hooks in bathroom for dressing gown, towels etc. Plenty of places to visit. We enjoyed abbeywood gardens and cafe, only 3min drive away.

• "We booked as a couple and intended to use the caravan as a base for excursions in Cheshire and further afield."

  The caravan was spacious enough as it's intended for four and well situated for our purposes. It was clean, fairly new, and well enough equipped for our purposes. We would book the caravan again if we wanted to visit some other sites in the area and were happy with using Sykes Cottages.

• "Fishpool Holiday Park is not to be confused with a Holiday Park with facilities and entertainment."

  There is no shop, not a single children’s play area, and if you have a dog, only the short perimeter of the park to walk in safety. Otherwise you have to negotiate a busy country lane. There is an excellent, high end pub a few minutes walk away, but again, you access from the park through a gate leading into the busy road without a pavement or lighting. Our caravan was new and spacious, but be warned, if you pick a caravan (as we did without knowing), that is sited with the road to the rear, it is very noise intrusive. As there is a lot of heavy farm traffic which starts work from 6:30am, it can spoil your enjoyment. I slept in the double back bedroom and the only thing between our caravan and the road was a wooden fence. I would not choose this again. However, the lodges under the wooded hill are much quieter. The lodges and caravans are for sale. In the middle of the park, there are numerous camping pitches(with services), either in a state of readiness or being prepared for use. As the site is still being worked on and there were not many people there, only a few of the pitches were being used by camper vans with awnings. There is no segregation between the campers and the lodges and caravans. We could not see any provision for children as there is no room for a play park. This would be problematic when it gets busy and families are visiting. I have never stayed in a caravan park before, where my caravan terrace looked straight into a camper van, divided only by a single track access road. I personally do not think this is a good layout at all. You will need transport to stay on this Park, as the village, nearest shop and facilities are not in easy walking distance. I did not notice a bus while I was there, but there was no mention of it in the information provided. We used the nearest Chinese take away for a meal delivery, and the service was good. The staff at reception are always cheerful and helpful and a real asset to the Holiday Park.

• "The place is stunning clean and very well thought out , easy access towards Delamere , Winford or Chester."

• "We had a wonderful time here."

  It is a really quiet and relaxing site in a great location for delamere and days out. The caravan was brand new and spotless, all modern features. It is a 2 minute walk to the fishpool inn for great food and drinks. Ideal for couples and families. We will be back!!

• "An amazing stay at this lovely holiday park."

  The staff couldn’t have been any more helpful. The accommodation was lovely. Location great for local pubs - Fishpool In. Is excellent. Think time listing is a little misleading as the location of the park is not in Delamere Forest. I did know this but others may not. Overall fab stay

• "The caravan was lovely and brand new."

  however the outside was unfinished and muddy. We felt guilty as there wasn’t a broom or a mop & bucket to clean up the very muddy dog foot prints. The staff were really friendly. We did love our stay and have already booked another visit later on in the year.
