What guests are saying
We booked accommodation for a family wedding to be held close by .
Found phone signal and wifi very poor which made arranging taxis and being in contact with family very difficult. No mention that the road to the property was down a track that was full of potholes quite unpleasant to travel on. The accommodation was signposted as a riverside retreat and had we gone to enjoy silence and to recharge it would have been perfect . Clean warm and great views .
We stayed at Larch House as 2 families.
The location is great! Just far enough outthe village to but close enough for shops/pubs although do take a torch and it may be muddy to walk along the lane The house itself is a fabulous design and has every feature you could need including a plunge pool and river access , although weather wasnt ideal to use these we did use the outside bath on the deck ! The living space is comfy and large enough for us all (7 in total) we had the option to dine inside or outside especially with the outside heaters. We would definitely like to return (in the summer maybe) to try all the facilities and explore more of the beautiful towns villages and countryside nearby.
Amazing accommodation beautiful views.
The lake and plunge pool was a big hit, we had some amazing sunsets. Beds comfortable and outside seating area was perfect with heaters for later in evening when it got chilly. Will definitely be returning next year. Could do with somewhere to hang clothes but not big problem, we just lived out of our suitcase
