Beautiful cottage in idyllic village setting.

The cottage had a high degree of cleanliness and was exceptionally well equipped. The basket of biscuits was a really nice touch!

Great cottage in a lovely village.

Very easy drive into chester. Cottage was spotlessly clean. Very well equipped. Lovely bedding and towels. Toys for little ones provided as well as games and books. Excellent kitchen equipment and cooking facilities. A good out of town shopping area just a couple of miles away in Broughton. Chester great, zoo great, cheshire oaks designer outlet was good. Easy train from chester to Liverpool only 45 mins. Book ahead. We did 6 adults and one child return for £60. Just park applet's you pre book parking opposite the station.

Beautiful cottage.

Traditional from the outside. Inside combined history with all modern home from home comforts and requirements. Spotlessly clean. We had a wonderful long weekend, enhanced by the owners friendly contact and generosity. Thank you so much.

The Grade II listed cottage is characterful quirky and comfortable (spacious lounge for a cottage), well equipped and in a lovely quiet village.

The only drawback is the entry to the bathroom which is not ideal for anyone with mobility issues. The shop, a good pub and a well maintained and equipped local play area/playing field are only a few minutes walk away. Its a great step off point to visit places like the Zoo, Chester, North Wales, Delemere Forest or the surrounding rural area to walk. The owners are very approachable and helpful, and concerned that you have a good stay. We had 3 generations in our group, who all enjoyed our time here, and wished it had been longer. Having stayed in many cottages this is one of the best, we would happily return.

Very charming place with a lot of space, very well placed to discover Chester as well as North Wales or cities like Manchester or Liverpool.

A lovely welcome basket, with lots of lovely extras in the kitchen and bathroom. Really nice village, well situated for visits to north Wales and the northwest of England. I would highly recommend.

Absolutely fantastic property- really homely, comfortable, great location in a lovely village and had everything we could possibly need for a week’s stay.

We really appreciated the super comfortable beds and lots of toys, books and games to keep our daughter entertained after a day out! Cannot fault anything- we would love to come back.

We’ve just spent two weeks at Jasmine Cottage while working in the Chester area, and it has been absolutely perfect.

The cottage is spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained and incredibly well equipped — everything from pots, pans and cutlery to books, games for the children, and two TVs with all the apps ready to go. It genuinely felt like a home from home. The location is ideal too: peaceful, surrounded by beautiful countryside, yet only a short drive into Chester and perfectly placed for exploring North Wales. We couldn’t have asked for more. A wonderful stay and a cottage we’d happily return to. Highly recommended!

Wonderful house in every way.

Clean, comfortable, well equipped, tastefully modernised and Amy very helpful and accommodating with our queries. PO/shop great to have so near, and well stocked with independent and general provisions. Used the local Park and Ride into Chester but good to be close to Welsh border as well. Would definitely go here again. Elaine.

Too quick went the week. Spacious cottage and cosy. Gardens had seating outside and enjoyed feeding the birds . Good location to explore lovely countryside and chester. Nice welcome pack to cottage from owners which we all enjoyed. Our young grandson loved the cottage

Jasmine Cottage met all our holiday needs perfectly.

It is very spacious and sleeps 7 but there were only the two of us and our dog. However, my husband is awaiting a knee replacement so was glad of the comfortable downstairs double bedroom avoiding the use of the stairs whilst i had the luxury and space of the beautiful upstairs master bedroom. The cottage was spotlessly clean on arrival, there was a very generous welcome pack of biscuits and cakes plus wine and milk in the fridge. Also there were treats for our dog. We were able to enjoy the very pretty and private garden as the weather was very pleasant all week. We have family in Chester and the cottage is only 10 minutes away from our son's house. The proximity to the local village shop, the Red Lion pub and walks for our dog were additional benefits. This was our second visit to Jasmine Cottage and I hope we will be able to return.

This was one of the most beautiful and well presented properties we have ever stayed at.

We stayed here in between house moves, and at the end of it we didn't want to move! Amy the host was fantastic and very helpful. We were welcomed with goodies and felt right at home. The local area was beautiful and we became good friends with the neighbours and residents of Dodleston. The beds were extremely comfy, 5* hotel standard. Also a very short walk to the local shop / post office. Great dog walks and park for the kids. Would and have recommended this cottage to friends and family.

Stayed one week in November 2024 with the family - what a superb cottage and one of the best we have stayed in for a long time.

Warm, welcoming and lots of character along with loads of kitchen equipment along with a lovely welcome pack that went down a treat. We were 6 adults and 1 dog and we all had a great stay with lots of space to sit and relax. Only one parking space to the rear of the property, but that was not an issue as lots of other parking nearby. We have an EV car, so not having a charger was a minor point, but we knew that when we booked the cottage, as there were very little options at the time - had there been an EV Charger or 3-pin outside plug near the car, we would have paid a premium to have the flexibility and have fed this back - with lots more cars being electric, having the facility will add value and widen the market. However, we were able to charge up easily enough as there were lots of chargers especially in Chester (less than five miles away) so we never got stuck. The owner was lovely with great communication prior and during our stay. Five star rating is well deserved and THANK YOU for a great stay.

Jasmine cottage is a lovely well maintained, highly equipped clean cottage in a lovely place with excellent local pub and village shop.

Some lovely dog walks from the doorstep and super friendly people all around. Beds are really comfy and overall excellent value. We will definitely consider returning.

The location was perfect for exploring the Chester and North Wales and the cottage itself is beautiful with no expense spared to making it comfortable and inviting. Lots of added extras that make you feel truly welcomed and valued as a guest.

The cottage is gorgeous.

Really clean and very spacious. Everything you need for a relaxing holiday. A little welcome pack of goodies, dog biscuits and dog towels. All the cleaning materials, really great. Location is fab, easy access to North Wales, Chester and The Wirral. It’s a peaceful spot, lovely pub round the corner and a shop stocking all the basics.

Absolutely beautiful cottage and great space for everyone in the family.

Well equipped with everything we needed. It was nice to be able to let the dog out in the garden and everyone in the village was very friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

What a lovely property to stay in.

Very clean, well maintained, spacious and comfortable. Located in a lovely village with a shop and pub within 2-5 mins walk. We ate at the Red Lion pub 3 times during our stay and the food and staff there were great. Lots to do in the area. Chester and the Cheshire Oaks shopping outlet within 5-12 miles. Easy access to North Wales attractions and beaches. Had a great time at Zip World Penrhyn quarry and Betws-y-Coed. Betws-y-Coed itself is a lovely place to visit and great for walks by the river with waterfalls. I thoroughly recommend this property as a great base for exploring the area and for the quality of the accommodation. Many thanks to Amy.

Homely, spacious and comfortable cottage in a nice little village.

Close to Chester and North Wales border so plenty to do locally. Nice owners and good communication too.

Jasmine Cottage was lovely, well presented, very clean and well equipped.

We stayed 15-17 December and it was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The accommodation worked perfectly for our family which included a baby and a toddler and we would definitely stay there again when visiting family and friends in the area. Amy was extremely helpful in offering us a later departure time and in forwarding to us something we had left behind. A wonderful weekend.

Jasmine Cottage was exceptional.

It was like a tardise.The picture in the listing looked small but the interior was spacious and presented to a very high standard. The village shop is only 2 mins down the road and the Red lion pub was 5 mins away and as a base to see Chester and North Wales was perfect. I have been renting cottages near Chester for 5 years and this is by far the best.

Jasmine cottage has everything you need it truly is a home from home.

The bedrooms have beautiful comfortable beds. There is a downstairs double bedroom and also a loo downstairs. The kitchen dining lounge area where you come into the cottage is big and airy. The snug is large and comfortable, there are two steps from the snug leading to the bathroom, then continue upstairs to three more bedrooms. Dodleston is a charming village, with a lovely local The Red Lion, good food a nice atmosphere and dogs are allowed. We enjoyed our stay at Jasmine Cottage and hope to stay again.

Beautiful, comfortable and spacious cottage which was clean and well equipped with pretty much everything you could need for a break away from home.

Great pub round the corner and little shop 2mins from cottage was great for picking up essentials. The Welcome pack and doggie treats from the host was also appreciated. Only negatives we had were the following (but it wouldn't stop us booking Jasmine cottage in the future): 1. Parking at the rear wasn't the best (for a big car) but there was plenty of off street parking available. 2. Bathroom/toilet could do with some place to hang wet towels e.g. a towel rail. There were hooks on the back of the bathroom door but they didn't really allow towels to dry properly
