What guests are saying
A beautiful spacious property that accommodated 10 of us very comfortably, very clean and all furniture appeared relatively new including a well equipped kitchen.
Our visit 16th November 2027 for 3 nights was cosy warm. The added bonus of having a pool room in separate building ( nice and warm) and hot tub along with EV facility made our stay complete. Very private in own grounds in countryside surrounds . Both hosts also made personal contact with us including one of them with explanation of the facilities upon arrival and nice to have confidence of contacting them should there be a problem .... but there wasn't. Highly recommend this beautiful property and will more than likely be returning next year.
We had a family get together at Fairvale House and loved everything about the place.
Fairvale House is spacious, very well equipped and in a beautiful peaceful setting. All the beds were really comfy. We loved having the hot tub and the pool table. Chester is about 30 mins away and a great place to visit. The owners were very responsive to any queries and left us a lovely home-made lemon drizzle cake. We really hope to visit again.
What a great find!
A beautiful house with a great set up - we loved the purpose built pool room and outdoor covered seating area along with the hot tub. The house is tucked off the road so apart from a garden party next door, it was a peaceful location. Everything was as seen in the photos and we enjoyed the large lounge in the evenings. The downstairs toilet was appreciated and there was plenty of space for everyone to be together or to get lost for some quiet time. Things that we could be picky about: - no higher seating for an older person or someone with mobility problems - as with many Sykes cottages, while it was dog friendly, the outside area wasn't secure - ensuites would make it perfect - most houses this size leave a welcome hamper We had a happy time and the only issue that we had was promptly dealt with by the owner.
