We had such an enjoyable stay at the cottage.

A beautiful and peaceful retreat… ideal location for heading out into Cheshire, Shropshire and Wales!

Perfect little retreat, peaceful yet close enough to shop and eateries.

I had no car so walked to village and public transport links all close by. Clean and well equipped. Loved it and hope to return

It feels even more homely than the pictures. Everything was clean and comfortable. Easy to follow instructions on how to get to the property, where to park and how to gain access. Would definitely recommend for visiting Chester and the surrounding areas. Not too far from local shops. Overall a really lovely experience ☺️

Easy to find.

I followed the advice of an earlier review to look for the entrance between two white walls. Took a while to locate the key safe which was covered in greenery. A small kitchen, but good living area and excellent shower. It was ideal for me.

Very nice Cottage with all that you need and very clean and tidy, it made a ideal base for us to go out each day exploring.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Coach House, it was cosy and inviting the owners were very accommodating, even when we had a light switch issue ,it was sorted immediately.

Would like a little more lighting in the lounge. It was very quiet and relaxing. Perfect . Sykes need better travel instructions and mention the Cream wall and gates entry.

A lovely little cottage, tastefully decorated, well equipped and in a good position on the outskirts of Rossett village, conveniently within walking distance (around 10 mins) to a few good pubs/ places to eat.

Good transport links to Wrexham and Chester too. We were in the area for the National Eisteddfod which was held in Wrexham this year. The Cottage was ideal for the two of us and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

We spent a wonderful week at the cottage in early July.

It was ideal for the two of us and our dog. It is quiet and peaceful with very friendly owners in an ideal position for touring north Wales and North West England. Will return if opportunity arises.

Unfortunately, it is not suitable for a person who is in a wheelchair.

I have already spoken to the owner. It's ok for an able-bodied person to stay. It was lively and quiet. Enjoyed it. But I will not be returning. I need to make sure that the accommodation is suitable for a disabled person and that there is a wet-room.

very nice holiday cottage me and my dog had a good time.

every think i needed was they .lovely the lovey couple very helpful .and a lovely dog very friendly and a nice touch with bread and milk on my arrival . and a nice place to sit out side.i dont drive if you do then they is a nice place to park.it is a long walk down to get to the cottage but it was worth it thank you.

It’s so peaceful, cosy & comfortable with everything you’ll need for your stay. For us a brilliant base for visiting our son in Wrexham.

I particularly appreciated the peace and privacy of the Coach House as well as the effort that had been taken to make it so clean and comfortable.

The 15-minute bus service from the village meant that exploring the cities of Chester and Liverpool was so much easier than having to take the car, and should I ever be in the area again, I would book this property without hesitation.

Our first visit, and we have to say, a lovely find.

The cottage is very cosy,and situated in lovely peaceful grounds. the bed was superb and every night we slept so well. plenty of nice walks, and only couple of miles from Wrexham and Chester. "Millie" checked several times to make sure that we had everything we wanted. All in all a great break and would fully recommend for a holiday. We will return Barry

We did not see the property owner which we didn't mind.

The kitchen had a single spot light and and set of 3 spot lights. These didn't work. We managed as it was a shame to disturb owners on easter weekend. This probably should have been checked before we arrived though. Lovely place to stay, with everything and more in terms of facilities. Lovely location, peaceful and relaxed yet village nearby.

Lovely cottage with everything you need to make your stay a pleasure

This was a cosy compact cottage in a lovely quiet area on a private estate, surrounded by fields on the edge of Rossett, but not to far to walk into the village for facilities.

Even though the cottage was small it was comfortable to stay in. Great for a base for exploring the area, which there was lots to see. Our only downfall was the weather! Rain, Rain and more Rain, not the best week.

We have just returned from our stay at The Cottage @ The Coach House and would definitely recommend.

We had a lovely week and were lucky as the weather was good. The accommodation is small but adequate for two people and our small dog and is tastefully decorated. It is set in a prime location for visiting lots of places of interest. The village of Rossiter has good amenities including The Golden Lion which serves excellent food.

This is my 3rd time staying at the Cottage at the Coach house, which reflects the standard of this accomodation and location.

It may not be the biggest accomodation (but it is stated in description), but it has everything you could need for a comfortable base for visiting Chester and the surrounding area. Great eateries within few mins walk and friendly welcoming hosts. Wouldn't hesitate to book again

Our first time staying in a studio-style property and it didn't disappoint. The plant screening outside makes it feel private and it's in a lovely quiet spot but very easy to get to.

The cottage was perfect for me for visiting family.

It is so convenient for Chester and other nice places. The bus stop is just a short walk if you want to leave your car and buses every 15 minutes. It was so cosy to come back to and had everything I needed. I enjoyed the little cwtsh coffee shop in Rossett and the Golden Lion opposite was very festive. The owners live next door and are so friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend the cottage and hope to come back.

Comfy bed, well equipped kitchen,bread and milk on arrival was a lovely touch allowing a nice cuppa upon arrival. The small court yard is lovely to sit for your morning coffees. The host explained where the local eateries were, although there is information pack in cottage .We would recommend this cottage to unwind and enjoy.We would return.Thanks for a lovely stay.Terry and Christine.

..uncomfortable sofa,(suspect broken springs), 3 pointless rings,(no plants)...Be better having 3 6x6 posts,floor to ceiling, dividing bed from living area...altogether a lovely,quite area for walk etc...the Alyn a lovely pub...

For making us feel so welcome. What a wonderful little hideaway! We spent new year 2022/2023 in this quaint little cottage. Everything was within walking distance all the shops pubs and restaurants were very welcoming. There are some fantastic walks. The owners were very friendly and obliging. Nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely visit again.

An absolute gem of a place.

A definite home away from home.

The Cottage was perfect for us as a base for a 3 night stay to visit family/friends or the Wirral and in Liverpool, but there is lots to explore in the immediate area too.

It was beautifully designed and furnished, very comfortable and well equipped with all we needed. It was a real pleasure to come back to every day and I would be quite content with just chilling out there and sitting in the lovely courtyard in the warmer weather. We will definitely be returning next year, a great find!

This is a beautiful little studio, with everything you could need for a stay away.

The setting is serene, yet a brilliant location for the local stunning area, situated very conveniently for the main Chester dual carriageway. A short and simple walk into Rossett provides pubs, a supermarket, a cafe and restaurant alongside all normal village facilities. The host family, who live next door, are a delight. They are caring and respond rapidly to any question or query. The exude a warm welcome and a sense of belonging. If it’s a tranquil, comfortable, convenient stay you need, then I would thoroughly recommend booking The Cottage @ The Coach House.

Has everything you need for a home from home stay (Just on a smaller scale). Great location with good choice of dog friendly village pubs/eateries, 2 nearby Coops, great walks on the doorstep, close to main routes into Chester and N.Wales. Would highly recommend and stay again! Hosts are friendly and welcoming.

The owners Millie & Duncan were very welcoming not forgetting Henry the laid back lab! The location is ideal with 2 good pubs & a co-op nearby. Plenty of walks with some very helpful info provided in the cottage. Would definitely recommend.

The cottage was bijou, decorated & equipped to high standard, clean, comfortable and cosy: perfect for our week's R&R. Location perfect for local walks with dog and had access to main trunk roads into Wales, Chester and Wirral. Highly recommend the Hideout Bistro for meal, plenty of pubs within short walk from cottage. Would definitely stay again!

Although the listing, cleanliness, comfort and the information provided were excellent, the only facility we missed was the teapot, an essential for most tea drinkers!

We had a great stay at The Cottage@The Coach House.

When we arrived though, we did have trouble putting our belongings into the accommodation, as there are so many ‘home comforts’. There was barely enough room for our luggage and food etc. The kitchenette is small, with very little storage space for food. Also, the icebox in the fridge was completely snowed/iced-up, and still contained some previous peoples food, so we had to defrost it before we were able to put our own food into it. That said, Duncan, who arrived home later that day (he lives in adjoining property), was extremely helpful and friendly, and was keen to help us in any way he could. He removed the hanging plants from the ceiling and a some other bulky/excess items that were not needed. He also gave us very helpful advise about visiting the local areas. The cottage is set in the grounds of an Elizabethan Manor House, and is pretty and peaceful. It is also well placed for exploring the local areas and has some good pubs nearby.

We stayed at The Cottage with our dog Fred and all 3 of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The property exceeded expectations, was incredibly comfortable and provided everything you would expect for a self catering accommodation. The host family live next door and are incredibly friendly; went above and beyond to give us guidance and recommendations of the area as well as giving our dog a play mate of the evenings with their gorgeous lab Henry. The location was perfect, nice and quiet/private but also within a short distance of great pubs and walks. Overall we definitely want to re visit sometime in the future and would recommend this property to those looking for a cosy getaway!

You are not supposed to park directly outside the property which could be a problem for people with walking (MS) difficulties, the information directions are not correct and the three large pot plants that are hanging from the ceiling are a pain they are only about 5 foot from the ground you can’t move without bending down and the number of times we both banged our heads on them.

We would not recommend this property we left 2 days early.

A small cottage but very well appointed. Owners live in adjoining house and could not have been nicer. The second time we have visited (postponed from last year) and no doubt will visit again. We love it.

The cottage is stylishly designed and kitchen is adequately equipped.

The place is quiet, comfortable and dog friendly. Our friendly hosts are next door and very helpful. We enjoyed hiking the Snowdon, the local quarry parks, Eccleston and Chester. Having Netflix on TV is a bonus and we had a lot of laugh-out-loud moments watching comedies at night. We highly recommend this place to everyone!

Stayed as waiting for house to go throw had 9 days there

This cottage as a whole exceeded our expectations.

Despite being a studio we found the living area felt deceptively spacious and whilst the kitchen was somewhat smaller than we imagined we managed without issue (point of note the "freezer" is in fact just an icebox section in the fridge). The property was lovely and quiet and we found plenty of things to occupy our days just a short drive away (and no doubt plenty on the doorstep that we missed) A lot of thought has clearly gone into the property which was well maintained and very clean and I'd like to think we'll visit again sometime.

Hosts were incredible and went out of their way to make sure we had the best holiday and were comfortable.

The location is quiet yet close to the centre of the village. The hosts went out of their way to make us feel welcome - we followed their recommendations for walking routes, places to visit and eat! We would definitely return - a great find!

Fantastic cottage, it is decorated beautifully and very cosy.

There are lots of great walks nearby and some lovely pubs which are dog friendly. It was a perfect few days away with our dog.

We loved the peaceful ambiance of the site.

Whilst it was too cool to sit outside in September, that area was a sun trap. We enjoyed our walks around the area and those in to the local pub for excellent food and lovely English beers.. If we could suggest minor improvements, they would be that there should be better lighting for reading in the living area and for shaving / make up in the shower room. We found the cottage to be very comfortable with everything you need for a relaxing holiday.

Our hosts Duncan and Millie could not have done more in making sure we were well supplied with all the local information and walks. The location is ideal with a great pud a few minutes walk away, will certainly be paying another visit.

The apartment was stylish, well equipped and in an ideal location for visiting Chester and North Wales.

The hosts, whom we met were friendly and approachable and keen to ensure we were comfortable and had all we required. All in all a very positive experience which we will repeat.
