People should be aware that this property is in the country and should not fuss about moths, flies, cows, dogs and their droppings. It is a magical place.

A magical week thanks to sterling hospitality from the cleaning team and head office.
Several children were staying and for them it will be yet another summer to remember.
A big thank you. We hope to continue the adventures in years to come. Special thanks, also, to Shaun and his team who came out to the cottage midweek to troubleshoot - at the drop of a hate - a DIY issue. It's the little things. "I would like to point out that this property hasn't been cleaned properly for possibly months."
Every set of curtains has a moth infestation. There were dead flies on the rug in the room with the wood burner. Ashes left in the ash box. Cooking trays were greasy. Dog poo on the lawn. Cobwebs and spiders in the downstairs shower and window. Paint needs doing in most rooms. The water dispenser in the fridge leaks all over the floor. Some light bulbs need replacing. The grid at the back of the cooker is full of grease. The drive was bushes need cutting back. The picnic table outside is disgusting. The seats in the shed are filthy and need cleaning. The child's high chair was disgusting hadn't been cleaned for who knows how long. I don't think the house offered me value for what I paid to stay. I have been in a lot cleaner and better condition houses for less than I paid for this house. I really think I should have a discount and money back because this was not as described. It's a nice house that needs work and a different cleaning company looking after it because they are not doing what they are being paid to do. Hopefully all of the above will be addressed before anyone else stays there. I will be looking for some money back from you as what I had was not nice or as described

"We have stayed on the various St Aubans' properties for many years The property is in a wonderful position and we looked forward to our stay there again very much."
We missed the personal contact that we have always had with the St Aubans' local manager. The weather was very challenging and a number of small details irritated us: The Welcome pack identical to that in
the 2person cottage that we rented earlier this year. Not good for for 8 persons. The parking was adequate for 1/2 cars but was challenging for 3. Insufficient fuel was provided for the wood burner and we spent time and money replenishing it to keep the house adequately warm. Response to our complaint that water was running down the inside of the kitchen wall was sound.

Same fierce weather added yet another dimension to our stay which was to spend some family time celebrating our 40th Wedding Anniversary!

"Love staying at three chimneys!"
The views are amazing and area just as beautiful.
Since coming before the cottage is in need of a few things.
Kitchen cooking utensils seem to have diminished
Also the welcome pack of dishwasher tablets and cleaning cloths weren’t there so struggled to clean up.
The walls in the bedrooms around the windows looked like they could do with tiding up with a lock of paint needed and the bed is in need of looking at as the mattress for the main room is rock hard.
But will be back as we love this place.

"Three Chimneys is a wonderful old remote cottage, full of rustic charm."
The garden is spacious and fun especially if you enjoy seeing farm life right on your doorstep. (Cows came to say hello every morning) We had 2 small dogs and a small child which worked ok, but some might find a challenge as the garden is not completely enclosed and the property has a steep wooden stairs. The cottage was extremely well equipped with some really nice touches (welcome hamper even including organic dishcloths etc)
Do not expect perfection with the decor, but a little peeling paint did not bother us as we know the limits of an old property.
Beds were very comfy and furnishings well coordinated. New bathrooms were also lovely.
Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this remote old house enjoying panoramic views and easy access to the coastal path.
Would definitely recommend.

"We've stayed at 3 chimneys a few times before and like it just as much this time."
The improvements in the bathrooms were great and so was the new furniture. We had a couple of minor problems - cracked cafetiere, lack of tumblers, heating not working in downstairs shower room - but these were dealt with swiftly.
We'd suggest some extra mugs as there were only about six which isn't quite enough when you're using a dishwasher.
The house is warm, comfortable, stylish with everything you need provided.

"We have stayed at three chimneys for a few times now."
Which has been nice but each time seems like the property hasn’t been maintained very well.
Paint and plaster peeling off the walls. Dead flies all over the window sills and rubbish from previous people. Doesn’t look like the cleaners or managers have a very good eye for detail.

"We have been holidaying in your cottages for over 30 years."
We used to love the little pig tiles and the shower tap in the bathroom at chimneys and feel that it has lost some of it's character. Unfortunately when we arrived, the bedroom windows were full of dead and dying flies which we hoovered up over a couple of days. The fire doors are extremely heavy ( they seem to like tripping you up) and there is always a duvet and other bedding in the cupboard where we like to hang clothes and place suitcases. The drawers on the chest of drawers stick and are difficult to use. Maybe take a recce..oh and try using the tin opener. Sorry to moan but we were in chimneys when it was first let, many years ago, been every year since and remember how original and thoughtfully equipped it was. I hear that faraway ( where we've also stayed many times) has had the same 'makeover'
