  • "Tyack is just so relaxing and really comfortable."

    Everything has been thought of, especially considering the ongoing Covid pandemic. We were very impressed with Covid security and felt very safe indeed. We have been coming to Tyack now for years and never tire of it. Its location is superb for travelling around Cornwall, but the best thing of course is this superb apartment. The week just goes too quickly! Please do not hesitate to book this apartmemt, you won't be disappointed.

    Very spacious and done to a high standard. Only thing was only 2 chairs on the balcony and with 4 people we had to take 2 dining room chairs out were unsteady to sit on. 2 mire chairs would have made it perfect.

    Very clean and comfortable apartment, and straightforward key collection etc. Very careful COVID measures had been taken, in addition to excellent cleaning. These included a comprehensive “welcome pack” in a sealed bag, with a nice bottle of wine, new cleaning materials, coffee, and biscuits. The apartment was spacious and well equipped; pre-arrival information electronically was an excellent idea, and very useful.

  • "This is a home from home for us and we have been going, often twice a year, for several years now, and that probably speaks for itself."

    It is in such an ideal location and we were blessed with wonderful weather the whole week. It was just lovely to get away despite this unprecedented time with Coronavirus. Becasue we knew the apartment well, we were confident we would be safe there. We enjoyed exploring the countryside which gave us Covid security, however if you like bars, coffee houses and restaurants, Charlestown has them all. Infact for the first time since we started going , "pop up" restaurants and bars have opened right on the quay side next to the tall ships, and in the evening with the string lights up it looked really atmospheric. We hope that this will continue when things hopefully get back to normal. We couldn't recommend Tyack highly enough, although we would really like to keep it as our own little secret!

  • "+ Superb apartment, everything you could wish for."

    The very best welcome package we have ever had. All equipment and fittings are to a very high standard. Great location too. Very quiet couldn’t hear any of the neighbours. - The wife had to clean the on suite shower before we used it. Boiler lost it’s water pressure and is very awkward to repressure. Parking is tight especially if inconsiderate neighbours don’t park between the white lines. None of these things would discourage us from staying here again though

  • "The Tyack is a really wonderful place to stay in Cornwall."

    Well positioned within right distance for the main attractions of the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan grounds. It is also well placed in within walking distance of the harbour and the grocery stores and restaurants as well. The accommodation was well laid out and very clean indeed. From the rooms to the toilets and the sitting areas and kitchen, a lot of attention was placed to make us feel at home, the WIFI was 100% functional during our stay and we really enjoyed the choice of DVD movies in stock both for the adults and the kids. We were also thankful for the wine and Cornwall Ginger bread welcome gifts to ease us into the accommodation as well as a very well setup kitchen as we did a few cooking as well! A lovely experience for all the family and we will definitely come in the future and stay in the accommodation. Well done!!

  • "The weather all week was awful ."

    .heavy rain, gale force winds most days but the apartment was so lovely it made the holiday. Would recommend it to anyone for comfort and easy access to rest of Cornwall We ate out mostly but the cooking set up was excellent and we used washer dryer ..what a bonus .Charlestown was good for places to eat and supermarkets in easy reach .All in all a perfect holiday even with the weather .

    The location of the apartment is in Charlestown and is ideally located to visit all other popular coastal towns and well within reach of all amenities that one requires. As for the apartment itself it is immaculately furnished throughout with all that one would expect to find from this first class apartment. The area surrounding the apartment is well maintained, access to the apartment is superb, and the the parking facilities are easily viewed from the apartment itself. Peace and quiet itself gives you 100% of pure satisfaction to enjoy the area and above all the apartment.

  • "Had a fabulous stay."

    Lovely apartment which had everything we needed, lovely gift on arrival of biscuits, wine and milk. Great location, very quiet, we had numerous walks down to Charlestown harbour and beach, great restaurants and pub. Found an excellent beach at Porthpean, 5 minutes away, sandy and fairly quiet with a cafe in case you wanted a snack, drink or ice cream. There is easy access to all of Cornwall’s attractions. Asda and Tesco are both within a 5 minute drive. Can’t wait to return.

  • "Pros: This is a lovely, very smart, clean apartment and this was our second visit."

    Despite it changing ownership since we last stayed, nothing had changed and all the high expectations we had were met. There was a generous welcome gift of wine, biscuits, milk, tea and coffee which was greatly appreciated. The apartment is on the 3rd floor which means the balcony catches all the evening sun long after the apartments situated below. Within easy walking distance of Charlestown Harbour with choice of pubs. Cons: The main building door lock is temperamental and you need to slightly pull the key back out a tiny bit to get the lock to open. There is no lift.

A delightful and much sought-after coastal village of stone cottages and Regency houses, on the south coast near St. Austell. Famous for its collection of tall ships riding at anchor in the harbour, the shipwreck museum, excellent pubs and restaurants and easy access to the coastal path, it’s the perfect holiday destination. It has even been used as a filming location, most well known for appearing in Poldark. The area is rich in golf courses with Carlyon Bay and Porthpean close by. The picturesque fishing village of Mevagissey is 20 minutes' drive away by car, while the Lost Gardens of Heligan, several stately homes and gardens and the fabulous Eden Project are all within 5 miles, with Newquay and North Cornwall coast only a 35 minute drive away by car.
