Absolutely loved our stay.

Was very clean and comfortable and the location was amazing. Was so nice waking up to the birds and the waves. We looked around for a guest book but couldn't find one so unfortunately couldn't leave our thank yous there. Will definitely recommend and may even book again ourselves. Xx thank you xx

Lovely place.

Quality feel to it. I enjoyed my stay. Great close location to the beach. The parking is tight but managable. The weather was very hot at my time of stay so if the large doors are open you are very visable to everyone on the weatherspoons car park or people walking to the beach. Fans in that heat would have been helpful.

Had a great stay at the Sandbox, property was as advertised, extremely clean and well looked after.

The property is situated in a great location a short walk from a stunning beach. Evenings were spent either walking along the beach or relaxing with the balcony doors open. Hosts were very friendly and approachable. Would highly recommend.

Was an amazing stay Property was close to all amenities if we wanted to travel and having the bluff and beach right there was an added bonus Wanted to stay longer!

really great place to stay, only drawback was very weak internet so was unable to make any real use of smart televisions.

We enjoyed our stay at The Sandbox.

It was a lovely property that was clean, modern and stylish. It was welcoming and spacious and we felt at home straight away. It was fantastic being that close to the beach and we will definitely use again in the future, we can’t recommend enough!

The sandbox was clean and tidy, the beach was a short walk away.

Parking was provided and supplied with a charger for electric vehicles. The Fridge compressor was very noisy which disturbed sleep. I also mentioned in a call carbis bay homes that the door to the fridge appeared to have dropped. There was no indication that cleaning items needed to be provided ie kitchen roll and surface cleaner although there was a small amount of cleaner under the sink.

I’ve stayed in many places around Riviere Towans over the years but this has to be in my top 3.

Perfect location for the beach, the Bluff Inn next door and for heading out on excursions. A very modern looking apartment, with everything you could need. Comfy bed, lovely shower, breakfast bar, and a lovely seating area. I loved the Juliet balcony, having the doors open and sitting there as the sun goes down. Simply wonderful. A perfect little getaway for couples or singles, will definitely book again!

The Sandbox is perfect for a couple’s getaway, the property was clean, well designed and had everything we needed for our week away.

The location was great, close to the beach and local amenities, a good spot to stay and explore west Cornwall. I would definitely recommend this property. However, the one problem we encountered was with Sykes Holidays themselves. We were asked to contact Sykes beforehand to get the EV charger turned on at the property for our stay. Contacting Sykes via their website was not easy, there was no obvious route to speak to a person if you couldn’t find what you needed online. The phone line took me through to wrong departments and a long wait on a phone line that didn’t get answered. I wasn’t impressed with this customer service and it would put me off booking through Sykes again. I think giving the property owner’s contact information so you could contact them direct about the property would be better as when I eventually got to speak to the owner of The Sandbox he was really friendly and helpful. Property great, Sykes not so much.

Great base for a beach holiday - literally 2 mins walk & you are on the sand!

Facilities of a shop & fish & chips are just a 5 min walk away attached to the Haven site. Thought there might be an issue with noise from the pub, but not a problem on our stay. Great to have TV in the bedroom as the sofa is not the most comfortable to spend an evening on. Would definitely return in the future & recommend to anyone wanting close proximity to the beach.

Really loved this little apartment.

For two people there was plenty of space and it was the cleanest property we have stayed in thus far from our Sykes holidays. Everything is in excellent condition and enough facilities to enjoy a relaxing break. The location is great if you are looking for a base to explore the area. Easy walk to the beach too. Would definitely recommend this property. The pub nearby is ok but not great.

Absolutely lovely stay and well thought out in all aspects!

Just to let you know the info book could do with a little updating, no guest book as stated and the location of WiFi plug (this was necessary to get WiFi) has moved. Couldn’t find a brush/dustpan which would have helped a quick sweep by us before leaving as some beach sand left behind for you!

Very nice apartment for two - good location and quiet out-of-season.

Warm, spotless and well equipped. Only minor drawbacks - settee not comfortable for someone with back issues and bed has a bottom frame which isn’t suitable for 6’ tall people.

Amazing property, very clean and homely, absolutely loved the underfloor heating , to be honest we haven’t got a bad word to say about it, there was everything there that we could have wanted, Nice location and very quiet , I know the pub down the road was closed for the season but we come down a lot with our family to that area and have never had any trouble with the bluff, When we arrived there was tea,coffee and biscuits left for us which was very thoughtful especially after our long drive Would definitely stop there again and would definitely recommend to friends

The accommodation was lovely and the location was great , it was lovely and clean and the facilities were excellent , I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a Cornwall holiday right close to the beach .

Ideal location right opposite the beach with parking couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay and would definitely stay again. Great little find

Please Note our short stay at the Sandbox was very relaxing and enjoyable with the local facilities on hand very convenient and therefore to summarise we would have no problem with booking a holiday with Sykes holiday cottages again.

Had an absolutely wonderful time although the weather wasn't great but a stunning apartment and very clean and well located to get to everywhere you'd want to visit 10 out 10

Loved our stay at 'The Sandbox' and would definitely book again.

It had everything we needed and was spotless. The location was ideal with it being just a couple of minutes walk to the beach and even less to the pub/restaurant. Would definitely recommend.

Great apartment.

Spotlessly clean. We really enjoyed our stay - location right near beach was very great. We appreciated attention to details (night light, storage under bed etc.) and car charger made this a very convenient week long stay. Would defo stay again

ideal apartment for two.

particularly liked the undercover parking and the bathroom. Did wonder if being next to a busy pub would be a problem but it wasn't, even with football matches being shown live on various evenings. Small suggestion, the electricity supply line to the property was slapping on the roof during the 40 mile an hour winds on Monday, it might be worth asking the local electricity board if they can do anything about shortening the line? All in all very pleased with the accommodation.

We enjoyed our stay at the Sandbox, for time of year the price was very good, facilities were very good the bed could do with up grading as small point.

Could do with a little more info on parking we were not aware it was shared parking, another small point.

Absolutely loved our stay at the Sandbox.

Such a nice comfortable place to stay. The only downside was the parking space, the space itself is fine but there is a high curb on the left side which makes driving out of the space awkward so it is best to drive into it rather than reverse into it. However, this aside we would definitely love to come back again.

Ideal location , just a minute to the beautiful beach and right next to the pub that overlooks the beach, great for a couple of drinks watching the sunset after a day on the beach.short car ride to ST Erth park and ride to get the scenic train to St Ives. Would recommend and will definitely book again

A lovely property, well equiped, comfortable, very clean, has parking space with EV charger, ideally situated for the beach and pub.

If I have to find a negative it would only be that the bed could be slightly bigger (personal preference) but honestly this is a really lovely place to stay and I can't recommend it enough.

Everything you need for a stay for a week.

The bedroom is a bit of a tight squeeze - between the bed and the small wardrobe. Very clean and plenty of light. Path to the beach next to the Bluff Pub. Enjoyed our stay.

Very nice accommodation however overlooking a noisy pub car park was not to our taste.

Beautiful location and the Sandbox had everything we needed, a very short walk to a lovely beach.

We were a bit skeptical about being next to a pub as it looked a little rough but it was very family friendly and the food was good. Only thing the Sandbox could've done with is a hoover as we cleaned as best we could but wasn't easy with the extended dustpan and brush provided. Would 100% come back here again!

Very well equipped, clean and tidy throughout.

Exceptional soft and fluffy towels! As OAPs we had a little difficulty managing the steps, they have quite high risers, but we managed! The t.v.s are a little ideosynchratic. Took a bit of juggling to be able to watch different channels in living room and bedroom! The main problem we had was operating the hob. Directions in the folder are too brief, and misleading. Not obvious which is the on/off button for example. It wasn't until I found the manufacturer's handbook that I was able to operate it. Otherwise we had a wonderful relaxing holiday. Thank you. We'll be back if we don't get any worse at managing stairs!

The location of this property is spot on for the beach.

The interior was fresh, modern depicting ‘beach life’. Being on the first floor and having French doors it was lovely to open the doors then to sit and look at the view with a glass of something cool. The real bonus for us was having a parking space underneath the property with an EV charger (our car is electric). Would recommend changing the larder fridge to one with a freezer compartment. Looking forward upon our next visit to find a storage facility for wetsuit/body boards and an outside tap to rinse. Fingers crossed that the TV aerial will have been installed too.
