  • "We have had a lovely week's stay at Skylarks!"

    The house is very comfortable and well thought out, with plenty of pots and pans etc in the kitchen and a good, powerful shower with plenty of hot water (as its a power shower). lots of sofa space for everyone and good sized bedrooms with plenty of drawers and wardrobes for things. its in a lovely little corner on the site facing a little green so you have a bit of privacy to sit out and the children could have a run around too. The site itself is well maintained with very friendly and welcoming staff. we did swim one afternoon and the lifeguard was really lovely too. Food from the onsite restaurant was really nice (especially the pizzas). What a great location too, being so close to some wonderful beaches, particulary Perranporth and Holywell Bay. A couple of niggles just to mention are that the mattresses in the twin rooms weren't very comfortable (some very soft and some very hard), although the children didnt complain and it didnt spoil our fun! Also parking in the main car park and walking to and fro with the children and belongings is a little faffy - but this is very clearly started on all the listing, just a note for anyone with mobility issues and its not that far! thank you for a wonderful stay.

    The owners were very welcoming,and on the other end of the phone if you needed any help with anything.Very clean and well-maintained,and the beds were really comfortable. The site is lovely too,with very helpful and friendly staff. Would love to stay here again.

  • "Skylarks is a lovely property, it was very homely and clean."

    There were also some home essentials left out for us as well as a little welcome gift which was a pleasant surprise. My mum is on home oxygen therapy and we had to have oxygen delivered to her multiple times during our visit. Rob and the staff on site were all so helpful and accommodating with this, it's our first time away while mum has been on oxygen so it took some of the stress away. The property was well presented and had everything you needed for your stay. It certainly made a good base for our family of 6. Our only negative is the car parking, although the car park is a short walk for more mobile people it was an impossible one for my mum. It also made loading and unloading a little stressful as you're blocking other people trying to get passed. Although not a deal breaker for my partner, kids and I. It would've been when considering my mum's needs. Rob has mentioned the discussion of parking spaces by the property which would really help the situation. The site is lovely, we went to the swimming pool most days and my partner spent a lot of time playing pool with our lads at the club house. Would definitely recommend booking.

You're certainly right about the site team, they all do a great job and the site manager, Amanda, has led a continuing process of improvements over recent years. I agree with your comments about the parking, it does make things difficult for anyone with significant mobility issues. I've not had an update on this for some while, so I'll make enquiries. The plans include several small parking areas, with one being allocated to each property and nearby. I do hope you'll visit Skylarks! again and will let you know when I find out about the parking, best wishes Rob Property Owner

  • "We had a wonderful stay here, it was ideal with two tiny children and a dog."

    The place itself was well equipped and comfortable. It faces an off-road, grassed area, which added to the quietness and how good it was for children. The location of it is great - nearby to plenty of lovely beaches Perranporth, Portreath etc The amenities on the site were so good and all of the staff were so friendly and kind. We absolutely loved the swimming pool (there is an additional charge for use of this, which we weren’t aware of but it wasn’t too much). The restaurant served really good food and we enjoyed many evenings in the bar area, children playing and adults playing pool and darts. I really recommend anyone with small children to stay here, it was a really excellent place and made holidaying with small kids that tiny bit easier.

  • "Thankyou very much to the owners of Skylarks for being so welcoming and getting in touch with us during our stay to check that all was ok, and providing their contact details should we have needed anything."

    We had such a lovely week whilst staying at Skylarks, and it was a great base to have whilst exploring the areas of perranporth, Newquay, Truro and st Ives. We found lots to do, visiting the beaches, local shops, arcades and generally exploring the area. The site was very good for activities too, and we played tennis and mini golf during our stay. The site pub/restaurant was also very good, friendly staff, clean, and the food was really nice and reasonably priced. Skylarks itself was very clean and had everything we needed. The touches like the box of fudge were really nice and appreciated. The only thing we might have changed if we could would have been the TV, as this is perhaps in need of an upgrade. Everything else was brilliant though, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We wanted to leave a message in the guest book but couldn't find a pen! We are expecting a baby in October so may be looking at returning next year for our first family holiday.

  • "Spacious and comfortable holiday home well equipped for a family."

    Liked the green outlook and chairs to catch the late afternoon sun. Appreciated the new bedding and towels and fresh decor in the bedroom and bathroom. Nice to have a jigsaw to do on a wet day and watch a DVD. Site facilities were well used by the children who swam every day and we played crazy golf and tennis. Good location for Perranporth beach and coast path.

  • "The property is obviously well looked after."

    It was very clean and comfortable and we had a very lovely weekend. It's ideally located to get around different places and the park itself is lovely the staff are so friendly and we didn't want to leave. The property has everything you need and the beds were very comfortable. Overall if you are looking to holiday somewhere central in Cornwall near the beach and other amenities then this place is perfect

    The accommodation was spotless, well maintained and equipped with everything you might need. The electric heating worked well. We had a problem on arrival with a blocked toilet and the owner couldn’t have been more helpful in getting it sorted as quickly as possible. I would definitely recommend staying here.

  • "Another great week in Perranporth."

    Our 2nd time staying in Skylarks!. Lots of great days out including Lost Gardens in Heligan, Healy`s Cyder farm and a horse ride on the beach. Very comfortable, spacious base for 6 adults and 2 dogs. We`ve been coming to Perran View for 20 + years, so we will be back. Thank you for a lovely place to stay.

Trevellas is a small village located in Cornwall and is situated midway between St Agnes and Perranporth on the South West coast. This village has a whole host of cliff walks nearby, including Edgehill Cove, Hanover Cove and Trevellas Cove which are all excellent locations to take in the views of the deep blue sea. de Wings-n-Wheels for a casual bite and Schooners which offers a meal with a view and even some beers and cocktails. You can stock up on all essentials at the SPAR in the neighbouring town of St Agnes and there are plenty of pubs just a stones throw away. Historically, Trevellas can appeal to any WWII enthusiasts as the local Perranporth Airfield was used as a base for the Royal Navy Air Force when it became operational in 1941. A visit to the monument located at the airfield can easily fit into anyone's holiday schedule during their stay in the area.
