Located on the outskirts of the peaceful village of St Tudy in Cornwall on the Hengar Manor Holiday Park, is this lovely three-bedroom semi-detached cottage, Roughtor Cottage.
Enjoying a fantastic setting with on-site facilities and easy access to the renowned Bodmin Moor, Roughtor Cottage is an excellent home away from home for a group or family of six.
After parking up, be greeted by a delightful front patio with furniture, perfect for alfresco dining or savouring your morning coffee.
Step into the open-plan living space, where you can cook up a storm in the well-equipped kitchen, featuring a handy dishwasher, ready to enjoy at the dining table for six as you plan the following day's itinerary.
After dinner, gather your loved ones on the plush sofas ready to enjoy a family film night, courtesy of the wall-mounted TV, over bowls of popcorn and the warmth of the woodburning stove.
As your eyes grow heavy, climb the stairs up to the first floor and retire to one of three well-appointed bedrooms, a double and two twins.
In the morning, wake-up tired eyes with a soak in the bath or revitalising shower, before heading out to sample the delights of your surroundings.
Will it be dip in the indoor heated pool?
Hooking your catch of the day at the fishing lakes?
Or sample the tasty menu and local ales at the on-site bar and restaurant?

We found the location is quite central to most attractions in Cornwall and the setting is quite like being in a small village, with plenty of greenery and quiet.
This particular cottage looks across to the manor home, making it feel very much like one is staying bin a village. All staff were very warm and friendly and always helpful. It really was obvious and pleasant. The cottage is ideal for a group of 4, although it can sleep 6. We would still stay there as just a couple because it feels so lovely and homely. The one thing we found puzzling was the downstairs shower. It is a terrific size, much larger than standard, yet that size is wasted because it has a return glass splash panel that has the effect of making it cramped into half the actual size. If it had a glass pivoting door instead, it would be a real wow feature with its size, and from a practical perspective, would be great offering space and safe access for either older or larger people as well. Being home renovations tradespeople, we couldn’t understand this odd choice. However, this is an observation only and in no way would that happily opt to stay there again. Oh, and it was odd the allocated parking spot wasn’t one next to the cottage but around the corner and down about 150 metres. Not so good on a rainy day or when bringing luggage in/out. The cottage was great to come home to every day, after a lot of sightseeing, to settle into and relax. We were sorry to leave!
The cottage appearance on outside looks tired and needs attention .
The rooms are very small and beds not comfortable. There was insufficient crockery and cutlery and mugs . Indoors there were cobwebs around lights . Swimming pool water and jacuzzi were too cool but excellent pool facilities All staff were very friendly and helpful.
