This semi-detached barn conversion blends its original character with thoughtful touches, creating a setting that feels rooted in the landscape while offering everything needed for an effortless Cornish getaway.

The ground floor brings the living spaces together in a way that encourages slow, easy holiday moments.

The kitchen is arranged for simple, practical cooking, ideal for preparing breakfast before heading to the cliffs or returning in the evening to a warm meal.

The adjoining dining and sitting areas create a natural gathering point, with a woodburning stove casting a gentle glow when the sea breeze turns cooler.

A bathroom with a bath and shower sits nearby, along with a double bedroom that offers convenient ground-floor accommodation.

Upstairs, a twin bedroom tucked beneath the beams provides a restful space for guests, capturing glimpses of sea and sky through its windows.

Each room reflects the building’s barn heritage, creating a sense of place that flows throughout the cottage.

Outside, a planned grassed lawn and front patio offer a peaceful spot to take in the coastal air, watch the changing light over the Atlantic, or enjoy a quiet drink before dinner.

Private off-road parking for two cars adds ease, especially for guests exploring the wider region.Just across from the cottage, a path leads towards Bossiney Cove, one of North Cornwall’s most striking hidden beaches, framed by towering cliffs and known for its turquoise waters and natural caves.

Tintagel village, with its independent shops, pubs, and deep-rooted Arthurian links, offers much to discover, including the world-famous Tintagel Castle and Merlin’s Cave.

The South West Coast Path provides endless opportunities for dramatic hikes, wildlife spotting, and panoramic viewpoints.

Nearby Boscastle is easily accessible via the bus stop just opposite the property and offers its picturesque harbour, the Museum of Witchcraft and Magic, and riverside eateries showcasing local produce.

Further inland, Bodmin offers rich history at Bodmin Jail, far-reaching walks across Bodmin Moor, and nostalgic journeys aboard the Bodmin & Wenford Railway.

TINTAGEL

Camelford 5.9 miles; Wadebridge 13 miles.

Tintagel, home of the legendary King Arthur’s Castle, whose ruins dominate the cliffside just outside the village, is a popular but not overcrowded tourist destination, surrounded by the sea, rocky coves and stunning scenery. Several beaches, including nearby Trebarwith Strand and Bossiney Cove, are within easy reach and surfing is the main attraction for those who love the water. Tintagel has several pubs and restaurants and the Old Post Office (National Trust) is a must. For the energetic, the South West Coast Path passes through the village and in both directions it winds its way along the cliffs and down to the water’s edge through dramatic countryside. Head north along the path and within a short distance is the beautiful village of Boscastle with its quaint quay and village pubs for refreshment. Further afield are the surfing meccas of Newquay and Bude, with their resort attractions, while the open spaces of Bodmin Moor, the Eden Project, Padstow, Camel Estuary and Port Isaac are all within a short but scenic drive.
