  • "A great place for us to stay - clean, comfortable (beds & sofa in particular), peaceful, well equipped, good value, great location for access to places."

  • "We had a very comfortable stay, the house was very well equipped."

The location was ideal for the places we wanted to visit, east and west of the location, The neighbours were welcoming and friendly. We could have done with a measuring jug, and a pair of oven gloves to get the enormous casserole dish out of the oven ! Also there were no cleaning materials at all, so we bought some toilet cleaner. Extra black rubbish bags would also have been good. Thank you for a lovely place to stay.

Dear Mrs Jeffrey we are glad you had a comfortable stay in Gweal. We can only appologise for the deficiencies at the property, we rely on contractors and the managing agent to ensure all your needs are met and can only comment there were silcone oven gloves and a measuring jug installed at the property. It would appear check lists are not completed ! Kind regards Jill and Ritchie. Property Owner

  • "We had a great stay, the property was extremely clean and tidy."

Well organised key collection and all in all it was an easy and lovely place to stay. In the middle of all the attractions, however, far enough away for it to not feel touristy. The kitchen was equipped with everything you could need and more. It was an outstanding property. We even had a text from the owners checking in which was a lovely touch, thank you! The only tips I would give would be; to make the garden area nicer for guests to spent time in, a washing line to hang towels and swim wear, Option for bed guards for the single beds as they were exceptionally high for our two children. And the mattress on the king size bed could really do with being replaced for a firmer mattress. Thank you for a great holiday to Cornwall and the added welcome hamper

Thankyou for your kind comments about Gweal. Regretfully we were unaware about the broken rotary dryer until the neighbour told us and new has been ordered. Your comments are appreciated and will be given consideration for the future. Hope you had a good time enjoying Cornwall. Jill and Ritchie Property Owner

  • "Gweal is a cracking little gem of a bungalow, set in a very quiet little estate, with Truro only 2 miles away it gave us a good base to get our runs in especially to the Heron Inn, Malpas for a morning coffee in the their coffee shop."

The bungalow itself was clean and set out well… nice space for parking thank you. Storage was ok for clothes but it’s not ample but we made do with what was there. There’s two points that made it not so wonderful 1. Heating…all hot air radiators are locked out so you can’t add heat into the place… there is a boost setting you can use but that is for an hour and it does very little to the rooms and you can’t dry anything apart from the heated radiator in the bathroom. 2. Grass on the front..although it makes it look nice it’s not very nice when at the start of holiday there was 4 lumps of animal poo and by the end of the holiday we had 8 lumps…not a great visual when you are in and out every day.

Thankyou for your feedback comments on Gweal, we are pleased you enjoyed your stay in Cornwall. The heaters are the latest dimplex smart heaters and yes the main controls are locked, however you can boost hour by hour at the touch of button to a temp of 22 celcius enough I would of thought for these chilly summer evenings. As for drying clothes there is a tumble dryer - again very new and modern. Sorry to hear that the clothing storage was not adequate for your familys week stay, maybe we should review the number of hangers in that 10 per room is not enough. As for the animal poo I am so sorry - we do not live near the bungalow and rely on contractors for cleaning and grass cutting. Knowing this animal was an issue we installed 3 in total animal deterents - all of which vanished within a week of being installed. We hope you will holiday in Cornwall again shortly. • "We were really pleased with the property and the cleanliness of the property."

Loved the welcome pack and the message to welcome us. Great central place for visiting beaches / attractions on both coasts. Would definitely recommend this property. Only one slight problem was there was no bath mat and the bath was quite slippery (probably because it was so clean) Overall a lovely property and a great holiday. Thank you

Thankyou for your positive feedback and are delighted you had a good holiday. We will install a bath mat, thankyou for highlighting. Jill and Ritchie. Property Owner

  • "Immaculately clean, modern and comfortable bungalow."

Very well equipped (a small frying/omelette pan the only thing we missed). Friendly neighbours. The cream tea and local apple juice on arrival were much appreciated. Easy level parking in front of property. Shortlanesend village is quite ordinary but has a pub, convenience store, nature area, nearby Idless woods & a high-end restaurant. Also a football field/recreation area with some great playground equipment around the corner from the property. It's on a bus route to Newquay, Perranporth and Truro and there's good access to the main roads to explore this lovely part of Cornwall.

Hi Rebecca, Thankyou so much for your feedback and the lovely comments. An omelette pan has duly been ordered, thankyou highlighting. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay in Cornwall. Kindest regards Jill and Ritchie Property Owner
