• "This was our second stay at Beachcroft and it was everything we remembered from the last stay."

  The accommodation is excellent for adults and children alike with enough space for everyone to enjoy. The kitchen is well stocked with equipment and allowed us to cook family meals to enjoy together sitting at the large dining table. Beautiful views whilst in the kitchen/diner and sitting room. Enjoyed walking to the beach and using the train into St Ives. We would love to return one day. A great family holiday.

• "Just returned from a wonderful 2 weeks at Beachcroft."

  We stayed here because we wanted a family house for our sons wedding. The house is very comfortable 5 bedrooms all with ensuite which was our requirement for getting so many ready for the wedding. Marvellous views down to Carbis Bay and across to Hayle. Each morning I sat in the lounge drinking in the spectacular morning sunrise before heading out for a wonderful costal walk around the Cornish costal paths. The house is fitted out to a very high standard lovely big dining table for us all to eat around and separate lounge for those that did not wish to play games in the evening. Lots of crockery, pots and pans for 10. Our only criticism would be that two windows one in lounge and one in dining kitchen were all misted up and so prevented a full view of the landscape. I now understand that these are to be replaced later in the year. The other issue we had was that the TV room has the heatsource pump in a cupboard which is very noisy so makes it difficult to watch TV but for children plugged into games this is not an issue and there is a large TV in the kitchen that adults can use anyway. Location is not for the unfit as everywhere is steep hills around Carbis Bay and St Ives but we really enjoyed the walks into Carbis, St Ives and Hayle then used the train to come back. Would we rent this property again most definitely.

• "Amazing property with amazing views."

  We had everything we needed for a lovely holiday. Location great close to beach, train station and buses (although very steep walk from beach). This did not detract from our holiday but would be good to be able to get BBC1 and ITV etc in the TV room. Also when you know there are no children it would be good to have the stair gate removed the bottom of the stairs. One of our party has a hip problem and found it difficult to nevigate). Would not hesitate to recommend this property.

• "We loved everything about this house."

  It was spacious, even for 10 people. The fittings and facilities were of the highest standard and it was spotlessly clean. The kitchen was so easy to use, with all utensils etc that we could need, 2 dishwashers, 2 large fridges and a massive freezer and lots of storage space. Lovely large dining table and we never felt crowded as there were so many rooms and places to sit. The only thing we needed was soap for the bathrooms. We all took shower things but had to buy handwash for the basins. But Tesco was a five minute walk away so that was easy. This was truly one of our best holidays ever!

• "A fantastic property."

  This house is 5* and above everything that you need and all top grade facilities. Rooms and bedrooms are very large and plenty of space for a family of ten people. Amazing view's from most of the windows. On arriving we found the house spotlessly clean with Milk, Tea, coffee and Sugar waiting for our arrival. The house is on a step path to the beach but worth the walk as the bay is beautiful. The house is in a perfect location as we visited lots of Places in Cornwall giving us lots of family memories. Thank you very much for letting us stay in such a beautiful property.

• "Lovely house for our family holiday."

  Everything provided for adults and young children. The listing didn’t mention a bbq and when queried I was told there wasn’t one, however on arrival we were delighted to find a good gas bbq. Suggest the listing includes this. Some of the double glazed windows are misting internally which slightly spoilt the views and for the amount charged we would expect a perfectly maintained property. Outside patio lights weren’t working but were fixed next day on reporting. I’m being picky - we had a wonderful time and it is a lovely house.

• "Spent a lovely week here in July 2024."

  We were 2 families and had lots of space. Bedrooms are beautiful all with amazing en-suites and very comfy beds. Great views of the bay and fantastic location. Kitchen has everything you need, look out for the shallow secret drawers for cutlery and small utensils. We missed those initially. The media tablet that is mentioned in the welcome pack for controlling music around the house was missing while we were there and were told it was broken and a replacement was being sourced. But it didn't matter and didn't spoil our stay. One important fact is the parking in front of the house where the 'Beachcroft' sign is, is mainly for other residents behind. But if there are free spaces you can park there. So we parked our 2 cars on the driveway to the side of the house, in front of the garage. Plenty of room for 3 cars really. We had a great stay and walked down to the beach a couple of days, got the bus into St Ives another day, and visited Healeys Cider Farm another day. Overall we would highly recommend Beachcroft for a family stay. Thank you Carbis Bay Holidays for making it available to us.

• "Best dog friendly property we have stayed in."

  Lovely clean well equipped and spacious with excellent views. Only problem was no parking spaces at front of the property which was mentioned in details due to neighbours parking there. Also bird spikes found on patio which had fallen from the roof very dangerous for young children and pets. Patio could benefit from a jet wash We hope to return to the property in the future

• "The house was perfect for us (family of 7 + dog celebrating 3 big birthdays this year) in size, facilities (inside & out), location (stunning views, access to beach), & accessibility to bus & train travel."

  The kitchen was extremely well equipped, & the layout downstairs gave everyone space to enjoy being together. The bedrooms were great, especially the ones with the view across the coves, & very comfortable & clean. We were a bit confused by the parking situation, as the people in Beechwood Cottage came round to say we shouldn't have any cars in that carpark, even though it is signed Beachcroft....? And not sure if one of our party arriving early made the cleaners rush but a lot of surfaces were still dusty & we wiped the kitchen tops down (just to be sure). The main reasons we have given 4 stars are: - we had to phone Sykes Customer Services to get the key code for the boiler room key because the heating was on full when we arrived (maybe include in arrival information?), but then found the heating quite complicated to control, even with the instructions (on the few colder days we really needed it on). Perhaps a "crib" sheet with simple steps to follow would be useful? - We found the seating around the dining table really uncomfortable. - The TV system in the TV room seems to only have streaming services downloaded (itvX, BBC iPlayer, Netflix, Disney+ etc), so anything we wanted to watch on a terrestrial channel (BBC, ITV etc) showing at it's actual time could only be watched on the TV in the dining room. Didn't understand why all channels couldn't be on that TV...? We really loved being down in Carbis Bay & we really loved the house. We hope the owners take our feedback in the genuine spirit it is given. We'd love to come back & we will recommend.

• "I can honestly say this is the best accommodation I have stayed in ,for the quality of the property, the comfort of all its furnishings down to the location."

  The views were just stunning especially from the front bedrooms. The kitchen was amazingly well kitted out with almost everything we needed ( if I had to find something then a whisk would be handy but that literally was the only thing missing) The absolute icing on the cake was finding out that the outdoor shower had a hot tap, just what was needed after a few hours in the sea. The house was spotless so an extra thank you to the cleaners. Thank you

• "Best holiday house we have stayed in, and really suited the mix of age groups, from 6 to 60+."

  Beach was excellent although you do develop better leg muscles and improve your fitness for the walk back to the house. It was the first time some of the group did not use their car, shopping was easy walk 5 mins away. Would love to return

• "Very comfortable 5 bedroom house, each with its own en-suite bathroom."

  The house has up to date modern facilities; both inside and outside. Spotlessly clean and very well maintained. Easy parking for 3-4 cars within the property. The house is situated in a very pretty part of Cornwall with easy access to the shops. Highly recommended.
