  • "Bungalow is nice, clean, well equipped."

    Wood floors in bedrooms, lounge, hall, laminate floors bathroom and kitchen. Back garden is enclosed, well maintained. Front garden is well maintained not secure. Parking on drive in front of house. Log burner in lounge, although local Cost Cutter store doesn't stock logs.. local supermarket stocks fire lighter and occasionally kindling. The walk to the beach is more than 0.3ml, down hill ( very steep). Parking at beach is £10 per day or via hotel at their rates. Local chip shop is good value, very busy.. We had a nice relaxing stay at Bod-A-Quinte.

  • "We have just come back from a lovely stay at Bod A Quinte, and it is the perfect place for exploring Cornwall."

    We particularly love Carbis Bay! The property was perfect and everything you could possibly need is provided. Loved the tea/coffee, milk all waiting on our arrival and a beautiful Carbis Bay Hessian bag…such a lovely touch! Comfortable beds and a lovely shower. Just one thing on a negative side was that the grass in the gardens was quite long and needed a mow, also felt that some lighting in back garden for night time would be handy as when I took my doggie for a last wee at night I couldn’t see a thing although I did use a torch that I brought with me. Other than that…perfect and would definitely stay again!

  • "The property is located very close to Carbis bay beach, a wonderful place."

    It had 2 car park spaces, a garden at the back of the house and front, very beautiful and relaxing. If traveling with kids make sure you get a ball or smth so they can play at the back garden. We drove all the time and the location is very close to St Ives town with plenty of bars, restaurants and shops and bakeries. Property was very clean, kitchen was well equipped with everything a house needs. The bathroom was very clean. Bedrooms all had white bedsheets and white towels and personally I liked it. 10 out of 10 just for that. Beds were very comfortable as well. Very happy and can’t recommend the place enough.

  • "Rated cleanliness low as we were so very disappointed on arrival."

    Dirty wet towels were in the bathroom and bins not emptied. We complained immediately. The next day 2 wonderful cleaning ladies appeared and completely cleaned the bungalow. Plus they left us a few treats. We were impressed at the response. Otherwise we would highly recommend this property. Carbis Bay holidays are easy to book with.

  • "The property was spotlessly clean … disappointed with the welcome pack we always used to get milk so we were able to make a cuppa on our arrival … I appreciate the wood flooring as the place takes dogs but a few runner rugs would have made it less cold and noisy… having said all this we would return …."

  • "Property was extremely clean and tidy."

    Kitchen large and well equipped. Shower excellent as were the big fluffy towels. Bed comfortable. Would be nice to have milk in fridge for cuppas on arrival, also kitchen paper. Garden large and enclosed. Could do with a couple of folding chairs for sitting out in evening. Walk to beach easy and pleasant if you take the zigzag route through the houses. Bus stop at top of road to take you to Hayle, St.Ives, Penzance, Truro - handy for those with bus passes.

  • "Lovely and clean and everything new."

    Good utensils in the kitchen to cook up a nice meal. Great shower and comfy beds with nice linen. Good enclosed garden for dogs and gets the sun until early evening. Will be even better when newly planted hedging has grown. Could do with some comfy chairs in the garden to relax on. All hard floors OK, but very noisy/hollow. Curtains would soften it, even if just cosmetic. Would also have appreciated some rugs at the side of the bed. Well situated for walk to Carbis Bay Beach, but bear in mind, up hill coming back. Lovely walk into St Ives along Hain Walk and along the coastal path in the other direction to Lelant, where there is a nice pint at the Badger Inn. If you like walking and are relatively fit like me, you can get away without using the car. However, the MinackTheater at Porthcurno is worth a visit and under 20 mile away. A day out at Fowey is also an easy drive and the Hall Walk there is well worth doing. Foot ferry across to Bendinnick, then water taxi from Poluruan back to Fowey. Not sure who loves Cornwall more, me or my dog ❤️

  • "Really enjoyed staying at Bod A Quinte - the facilities were great as was the location - we had a lovely time here."

    Will be fine next time, for a first time visitor it was tricky finding the property purely on the instructions provided as Richmond Way does weave in other directions at the bottom of the junction ( we had passed the property by then ). Perhaps a re-narrative on the ' Travelling to the Property ' - ' Follow A3074, turn right onto Richmond Way and Bod A Quinte is 100 mtrs ? on the right '

  • "We had a lovely stay."

    The bungalow is well situated, a park just across the road to walk our dog, which also had a well equipment children’s play area. The shower wasn’t terribly good, intermittent cold water! Could have done with more info as to where to put food waste and bottles etc for recycling (we brought ours home with us). The bungalow was well stocked with dish tabs, washing up liquid, tea towels and a jay cloth, plus tea coffee and sugar sachets…a small hand soap in the bathroom was a good touch. High standard of cleanliness, loads of towels.

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and really appreciated the Christmas tree."

    The accommodation was spotless and very comfortable. During wet weather, with a dog we’d recommend a better back door mat, the kitchen floor got really dirty and so needed a good mop a couple of times. Some serving dishes would be a good addition to the kitchen equipment, which was very well stocked otherwise. We’d definitely return and recommend in the future. Many thanks.

  • "Lovely, quiet place to stay."

    Spotlessly clean and welcoming. Everything was pristine (assuming as it is a new listing so has not had many people stay yet.) An information pack would be useful as to what's nearby etc and how to boost heating/instructions if needed. Apart from that minor comment we wouldn't hesitate to book again. Thank you

  • "Bod a quinte is in a good location for visiting Cornwall."

    Carbis Bay Station to St Ives is a 10min walk down the hill, coming back up is a lot longer depending on fitness! The bungalow was spacious, clean & fresh. A mop & bucket would have been useful, as would 2 hooks in the bedroom for dressing gowns. We had a lovely week here & would definitely book this property again.

  • "This was a new rental property and as you would expect it was spotless."

    As a new rental some of the niceties, like a welcome pack explaining use of appliances, heating etc, and iformation on local amenities was missing, and the rear garden was obviously under still under construction. Other than that it's an excellent spacious property in a great location, close train station, and with good local cafe, chip shop and pharmacy within a few hundred metres.

St Ives 2 miles ; Hayle 3.5 miles ; Penzance 8.5 miles.

Just a short drive from iconic St Ives, the seaside village of Carbis Bay is best-known for its beautiful stretch of pure white sand. With turquoise waters and sheltered conditions, the beach feels almost subtropical and is the perfect spot for a good old-fashioned day by the sea. The beach is also home to the Ocean Sports Centre, so if sunbathing is not really your thing, why not hire a kayak or SUP and get out on the water instead. Or why not treat yourself to a Spa day at the delightful hotel which overlooks the beach and has a fabulous terrace where cocktails can be enjoyed in the Cornish sunshine?
