  • "The only criticism I have is that the second bedroom does not have a wardrobe and not enough drawer space either and the information booklet needs to be revised about when to put the bin out we read that it would be collection day on Saturday and it was in fact Friday so we missed it."

Everything else was first class and we had a lovely stay

Dear Cheryl, thank you so much for taking the time to leave Feedback following your recent stay at Brynmaur and we are so pleased to hear you had a lovely stay. Thank you for your comments regarding the wardrobe and drawer space in the second bedroom, we have passed these on to the property owners for their attention. I have checked the bin collection details and I can confirm this is collected on a Saturday as stated in the property and not a Friday, the bins are emptied by a private waste disposal company and not the local council waste collection service which is on a Friday. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back again in the future. Kind regards, The Carbis Bay Holidays Team. Property Owner

  • "Had a fantastic time staying at Brynmaur with my partner and 8 month pup."

Really airy, spacious room with comfy furniture and everything you could need. Beautiful views over the bay from the terrace and the main bedroom and easy walking distance to St Ives, Carbis Bay beach and Porthkidney (the latter of which is great for dogs all year round!). There's not a huge amount of amenities in the Carbis Bay area but everything you need is still within walking distance, such as Tesco and Costcutter. We also caught buses and trains to nearby areas as the public transport routes are good. We travelled by car to Porthcurno beach and the Minack Theatre which we highly recommend for the spectacular views. We loved our stay and would love to visit again. (Just a very minor point that when we arrived there were damp bath and hand towels in the washing machine that we needed to empty and air out to dry. I imagine this was the previous customer so have not marked now as it was a very minor inconvenience.)

Dear Shelley, thank you very much for taking the time to leave feedback and comments following you stay at Brynmaur. We are happy to hear that you had a fantastic stay and would like to return. We are sorry that you have found the towels in the washing machine and want to assure you that we have passed this on to the housekeeper to make sure this does not happen again. We thank you again for your nice feedback and are looking forward to welcoming you back soon! Kind regards, The Carbis Bay Holidays Team Property Owner

  • "Had a fantastic time."

The cottage was extremely clean. Beautiful light and airy . The enclosed garden was a big bonus for our dog. Excellent location for surrounding villages and towns. The only negative would be the very steep walk back from the beach, which I guess goes with the territory. Please be aware of the restricted times you can take your dog on the beach, as this did take the shine off our holiday a little.

Thank you for your feedback. We are pleased to hear you enjoyed the property and location. The local council does restrict dogs on the beach at Carbis Bay from 15th May - 30th Sept between 10am-6pm, however there are many other beaches nearby without restrictions. Kind Regards The Carbis Bay Holidays Team. Property Owner

  • "We had a fabulous stay at the cottage."

Everything was really nice and welcoming. Beds were really comfortable and kitchen was well equipped. The floor, unfortunately, is a bit on the noisy side! Due to rainy weather we couldn’t use the outdoor spaces, but they looked very inviting. Would definitely consider coming back or reference it to friends. Thank you!

The beds are especially comfortable! The house is extremely well-equipped - you've thought of everything! The house is in a great location with a lovely view of the sea towards Godrevy Lighthouse. We're looking forward to coming back again soon!

  • "Brynmaur is well positioned in the Carbis Bay area; walking distance to the beach and close to other necessary amenities such as a supermarket."

The bungalow is clean airy and spacious with everything you should need. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and loved the view out to Godrevy Lighthouse from the lounge and outside seating area. Our dog enjoyed the secure garden and the welcome pack with the dog biscuits. The slight hiccup is that we found the parking quite restricted as the bungalow occupies a corner site, one small car is just manageable. Be aware you will need to vacate the premises by 09.00 promptly on your last day, quite a feat, most other holiday lets we have stayed in give you until 10.00 to do everything you need to do before finally leaving (sadly) and locking up .

Thank you very much for your valued feedback, we are so happy to hear that your dog enjoyed the garden and how clean and spacious the property was. In terms of the parking, the owners are currently speaking with contractors to build off road parking, until such time there is unrestricted on road parking along Tregos Road and Valley Road. We will continue to review the check in and check out times for all our properties at Carbis Bay Holidays but note that these are slightly different at present to allow our housekeepers time to undertake a more extensive clean in line with our covid procedures but hope that within time these will be brought as forward as possible, but in the meantime we apologise for any inconvenience caused. • "We've had a delightful few days here at your amazing property."

It has been so comfortable for us : cosy during the wet and cold days and fresh and cool during the hotter weather we've enjoyed. The beds are amazing - comfier than most hotels! And we've had some great evenings playing games in your great dining area - we're 16 games into your games compendium and will make a point of eating into the other 88 when we are next here to stay! We've enjoyed the beach and local walks , taking the coastal path to Hayle and back to enjoy the stunning scenery, we were even able to enjoy six seals together playing in the bay (not the same seal six times!). Thanks for making your property available to us. Carbis Bay is a real hidden gem and your property has been a great place to enjoy it from!

  • "It's a nicely fitted out holiday let with all the facilities you would like and everything appeared to be new or hardly used."

There were a very few minor improvements we would like to suggest to the owners but overall we were very pleased with our stay.

We are glad you enjoyed your stay and we are aware that the owners have sought your feedback and have taken your suggestions on board. Kind regards The Carbis Bay Holidays Team Property Owner

  • "Just to say that there were no wheelie bins and we had to dispose of rubbish in a recycling center which wasnt ideal."

The wheelie bin was actually noted in the info but wasnt at the property and thus frustrating as the info impressed on not to leave rubbish due to the gulls.

Thank you for making us aware and ever so sorry for any inconvenience caused during your stay. We can confirm the wheelie bin has now been provided. We hope you otherwise had a lovely stay at Brynmaur Property Owner
