  • "The house is lovely."

Only negatives were the beds which we found to be too hard for our own personal taste. We also could not adjust the temperature settings so we were hot whilst in bed. Everything else was perfect. The house is very well appointed and has all comforts. The hot tub is fabulous.

Thank you so much for your positive feedback. We are pleased to hear that you had such a wonderful stay. If there is ever anything you need help with during your stay, the local office will always be happy to help. We hope to welcome you back in the near future. !! Handy for long walks into St Ives, and then hop on the train back home, if your feeling a little bit tired. Station a short 5 minute walk from holiday apartment To have 3 wonderful bedrooms with own bathrooms again, was a bonus, all with the tvs as well. The size of the apartment was amazing with ample room for everyone. Added to which the hot tub was really appreciated. To celebrate my sons 50th in this splendid Apartment was the icing on his birthday cake!!!! We will definitely be booking t

  • "The check in and check out times actually make the holiday more like 6days not 7 days."

The crockery needs checking for the correct quantities, only 4 mugs for example. The ventilator in the upstairs bathroom needs attention. We were hoping to stay an additional 3 nights but the charge was only £1.00 less than a full week. The property appeared on the website to be be available. We would have happily paid the pro rate weekly rate. There were only 2 of us and there would have been no additional cleaning, linen etc, disappointing. The property is in a fabulous position for views as well as easy access to the beach and walking opportunities and has the bonus of the hot tub. The parking is less than ideal but manageable but the bigger cars get it could prove an issue.

Dear Mary, thank you for taking the time to leave your valued comments following your recent holiday with at Gwel an Godrevy and we do hope you enjoyed another lovely stay in St Ives. With regards to the check-in and check-out times, I am pleased to advise these are currently under consideration and we hope to be able to amend these in the near future. We look forward to the opportunity to welcome you back to the area again in the future. Kind regards, The Carbis Bay Holidays Team Property Owner

We all loved it! Would be great to include a coffee maker. Very sticky front door needs attention.

Dear Mr Nelson, Thank you for taking the time to submit your feedback to us. Please be assured we have passed on you findings about the front door to our property team and possibly adding a coffee machine on to the owner. We sincerely hope you had an enjoyable stay and that you visit us again in the future. Kindest Regards, Carbis Bay Holidays Property Owner

  • "The house was lovely, however, a few issues on arrival, mainly the hottub."

Water quality poor. Maintenance person turning up at 7am most days, disturbing us, thinking we had been broken into with someone walking around upstairs when we in bed. It got to the point we didn’t want to use the hot tub. It was filthy inside and grime all on the seats. It had taken the shine off the holiday that we paid a premium for and was looking forward to. Another example was the back door handle was broken and although fixed, could not lock the door. Could not get through to anyone as phoning was a waste of time!

Thank you for your Feedback following your stay at Gwel an Godrevy and we are pleased that you thought it was a lovely property. We are very sorry to hear of the issues you experienced with the hot tub during your stay, the owner has advised that it is maintained by a private company and the water is changed after every guest so would have been clean on your arrival. The company check the tub every few days and add chemicals as necessary. There are recommendations to follow to keep the water in premium condition including showering with soap before entry to ensure sun lotion, moisturisers and fake tan are removed, as these will affect the quality of the water and cause grime to build up in the tub. We are sorry you had a problem as we have had no other feedback of this kind. Kind regards, The Carbis Bay Holidays Team. Property Owner

Beautiful soft furnishings and quality products. Only downside was checking in and out times where ridiculous for price paid.

Dear Helen, thank for your Feedback and we are pleased to hear you appreciated the beautiful soft furnishing and quality products at Gwel an Godrevy. With regards to a barbecue, the property has never offered one of these, we do have other properties with a barbecue so you may have seen one advertised on their listing. I am also pleased to advise our check-in and check-out times are currently under consideration so hopefully will be revised in the future. Kind regards, The Carbis Bay Holidays Team Property Owner

  • ""We booked last minute and we were delighted with the efficiency and if possible even more delighted with Gwel An Godrevy."

This property has everything, modern and light, warm, fabulous views, good appliances and a real bonus of a hot tub. We used it every evening, what a treat in January. The property is well placed for some good walking some directly from the property and others just a short drive away. If this is what is on offer in January it beats airports any day!"
