  • "We really enjoyed our stay at Innisfree."

As soon as you walk in, you are struck by the amazing views at the back of the house. The house offers everything you need to be more then comfortable. We travelled as a family of 4 with 2 small children (4 & 1). The addition of a high chair & cot was super helpful and really helped us out. The house was nice & clean upon arrival & beautifully laid out ready for us - key collection was a breeze. Wonderfully positioned with a hilly walk down to Carbis bay beach - or over to the train station for a 2 minute train ride to St Ives. We would not hesitate to recommend a stay at Innisfree. My only helpful suggestions would be - to tether the TV (useful when small children are staying).

Dear Mrs Murray, thank you for your considerate and practical Feedback following your recent holiday at Innisfree and we are pleased to hear you and your family really enjoyed your stayed . I have passed your comment regarding the TV to our Property Management dept for their attention. We do hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back again in the future. • "A lovely, clean and spacious holiday home."

The welcome gifts, toiletries and household supplies added greatly to the holiday experience. We had been concerned about noise from the building work mentioned in previous reviews, but did not find it intruded on our enjoyment of the property in any way.

Thank you so much for your nice feedback, as it is very important to us! We are very pleased to hear that you liked the property and our services. We are relieved to hear that the noise from the building works did not disrupt your holiday experience. We look forward to welcoming you back in the near future. • "Innisfree is a beautiful house, the standard is very high and we felt at home straight away, however there was a glaring omission in the house's description ."

There is no mention that there is a major building site two hundred from the bottom of the garden and a very tall crane , these are all in operation six days a week. This completely spoils the peace and the view over Carbis bay. Surely Sykes should notify customers of this development when booking

Dear Mr Ward, Thank you very much for your feedback, which is very important to us. The building work has been ongoing for a while but only recently appears to have been pushing ahead at a considerable pace. We have spoken to the owner of the property and have included a notice on the website to inform guests that there is building work being carried out at the Cottage Hotel which is across Carbis Valley through the trees. The owner has said that they will be ordering a blind for the family bathroom so guests have privacy and we hope that the building work will be completed by latter end of 2022, it looks like the work is getting to roof height and therefore the work will begin on the internal structure which would minimise disruption to guests. We hope this will not deter you from booking in the future. Kind regards, The Carbis Bay Holidays Team Property Owner

  • ""We have just returned from the most wonderful stay at Innisfree - Carbis Bay is a brilliant spot for a family holiday with kids."

The 3 bedrooms provide great flexibility and the views over the coast are phenomenal. Everything was spotlessly clean and well-equipped and extremely welcoming. It was just like a home-from-home. The kids loved the garden and we loved the sunny terrace! The location is brilliant - just a short hop down to the beach and so close to the station for weary legs in the evening if you fancy eating out in St. Ives but don't fancy the walk. We shall definitely be back for more adventures and exploration!"

Everyone very helpful and friendly and our late minute change of plan to stay an extra two days was sorted and agreed very quickly, thank you. Taking the train to St Ives is for less stressful than driving and parking! Highly recommended. • ""Wow! What a great holiday."

The accommodation was stunning, we immediately felt relaxed. The children found the house wonderful – They could spy the light house out at sea at night pretending they were watching out for pirates. We loved the open plan design, our favourite eating place was the Seafood restaurant in time. The food was very good and affordable. We spent a lot of time on the beaches, which were all very clean, no dogs and friendly people. The weather was a little changeable on two days but you make the most of it,so we went swimming in the leisure centre and had a trip out to Truro. One of our best holidays." • ""Our guests who made use of Innisfree were more than delighted with the property, the amenities perfect with a very high level of cleanliness."

They appreciated the personal touches left on the instructions of the owner and loved the location and views that the house offered. Our guests were with us for a large family get together and on one of our days we made use of the 300 bus from the top of the road enabling them to get a real flavour of Cornwall. St Ives was particularly interesting on probably the worst day of the year so far but made acceptable by lunch at The Portminster, excellent as always. Blas Burgers was also a great hit, praise I deed from our American relatives!" K Spratley
