  • "Absolutely perfect."

    Lovely ground floor apartment, very spacious and just right for a family of 4. 10 mins walk to the beach/station so very convenient location, would absolutely stay here again

  • "Apartment clean & well equipped."

    Nice and warm. Only draw backs… Very low L shaped sofa, has caused a great deal of back ache especially as we both suffer from arthritis. Table between single beds not suitable for young children as this has a movable glass top of which one child fell out of bed and badly bruised the side of his face causing a nasty bruise. Had to pad out with their pillows. Radiator in bathroom gets extremely hot had to keep warning children when they used the toilet to be aware. Washer/dryer takes for ever to dry washing. First Aid bag needs to be checked after each visitor we needed one instantly as smaller child cut his finger in bedroom door, luckily we had one in our car.he has quite a skin flap. Unfortunately as instructed we put the full black bin out on scheduled day, not emptied was only recycling day. Cleaners need to clean under living room cabinets & sofa’s lots of debris. Could have more channels available on SKY Q, kept being told you need to upgrade. Very limited. Nothing in apartment for 3 & 4 year old to play with, luckily they had their iPads, had to go & buy some games for them. First time we have not had a welcome pack.. Most strange thing NO VISITORS BOOK to write in. The above apartment had workmen in we had not been advised of this , at times there was considerable drilling occurring with bumping & banging. We could also hear the apartment occupants attached to ours coughing loudly that was through 2 bedroom walls ! No leaflets on local takeaways or delivery restaurants.

  • "The accommodation was lovely."

    The only criticism I have are that there was a shortage of coat hangers and finding the key safe was difficult. Everything else was top class.

  • "The apartment was beautiful, has everything you could need."

    It was very comfortable the best sleep I've had in a long time. The views are lovely. The beach is beautiful we visited a few times. I personally found the walk back challenging but my husband walked it daily and he enjoyed it. We saw seals and a dolphin too. St Ives easy to access by bus so no need to worry about parking.

  • "We had a lovely stay in the apartment."

    It was comfortable, spotlessly clean, really well equipped and the view of the sea was beautiful. The location was great with St Ives within walking distance and lots of attractions not too far by car. I would definitely recommend this for a stay in Cornwall.

  • "Sea Bleu is a lovely modern & comfortable apartment that has everything you need."

    The place was spotless so the cleaning was to a very high standard. The Jacuzzi bath is nice to use & was a nice feature of the apartment. If you have an issue with anything or need help with something Carbis Bay Holidays & the owner are contactable and get back to you very quickly. I loved the views of the sea from the double bedroom patio doors, the apartment is set in a very attractive setting, with lots of greenery around & the beach nearby. Please note it’s best to have a car really in this accommodation as it’s a very steep walk and back up again to/from the beach, however as others have noted parking is expensive at the beach, so we were happy to get taxis to the beach and back, as taxis were reasonably priced for short distances away. We would have liked to have stayed a bit longer as we left just as we were getting used to getting about nearby on public transport, which is great for buses, taxis and train links if you’re without a car. We’d love to stay here again in the future.

  • "A very nice, well equipped and comfortable apartment."

    Well done to who ever did the cleaning as it was spotless. One small improvement would be to have a shelf in the ensuite bathroom for toiletries etc. Walking down to the lovely Carbis Bay beach and back up the steep hill is only really for the very fit and if taking the car then parking is very limited and quite expensive, but not to worry as there is a regular bus service to St Ives from the top of the street. Overall a first class apartment in an attractive setting. Thank you.

  • "Beautiful accommodation and thoroughly enjoyed our stay."

    Well equipped and spacious just we are all over 75 and found the seating very low. Probably not noticed by young or middle aged. Would definitely go back.

  • "I had a wonderful holiday at Sea Bleu, however I noted that the sink water pressure in the en suite was very low."

    I also noted that the blind in the living area was coming away from the rail (as noted by a previous guest). All other fitting and appliances were good but the soap dish in the en suite was chipped. This is our second year staying at sea bleu and despite the above stay again.

  • "We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return in the future a lovely apartment in a nice area;,a few issues the key safe is hidden from view by the bins and not easy to see when you first arrive ,also the buttons on the washer stick at times,the lounge side window blind partially comes away from its rail."

  • "1. Main door handle into apartment needs looking at as it is loose."

    2. Blind in front of dining table. The top of the blind the velcro is no longer holding the blind to the track. 3. Sofa in the lounge has seen better days and in my opinion with the apartment being 5 stars, this in itself would loose a star, as it is so uncomfortable and smells. The cushions on it also are old and need replacing. 4. Coffee table again has seen better days and has cup stains all over it, but could be so easily put right. 5. The rug the coffee table sits on again is old and is in need of replacing. There are more things I could say but in general we have stayed with Carbis Bay holidays for many many years now and this apartment I would definately not return to or recommend to others. The apartment itself was very clean, the facilities were good and appliances. We have stayed in Moonsail next door and this is a far superior apartment but generally is the same layout. The owners could look at what that one looks like and maybe update this one.

  • "We thought Sea Bleu offered an ideal location from which to explore West Cornwall."

    The accommodation is of a high standard. Access to the Carbis Bay beach on foot takes just 10 mins and St Ives is easily accessible by bus or train or alternatively via the lovely coast path. This is one of the best holiday bases available in the area and I would recommend it for a relaxing break. The local Carbis Bay Holiday representatives provided a superb local service responding quickly to our queries. Overall.....first class.

The property

Sea Blue is in a beautiful Cornish Valley, at The Spinnakers, on the seaward facing side of Carbis Bay, and is a lovely, two-bedroom, ground-floor apartment.

The apartment enjoys a private terrace to relax in the sun, whilst the beach, South West Coastal Path, and the scenic St Ives railway are all a stone's throw away, providing a romantic retreat or a homely base for families to holiday by the sea.

The spacious, open-plan living area has a fully-equipped kitchen for cooking at home, a dining table for four, and a sitting area where you can relax on the corner sofa in front of the 48" TV with Sky Q or step onto your private terrace with a glass of wine in hand.

There is bistro-style seating to dine alfresco or savour your morning coffee in peace.

With two bedrooms sleeping up to four guests, the first is a master king-size with an en-suite shower room, French doors leading onto the terrace, and a Freeview TV, whilst the second is a twin with garden views and a Freeview TV.

Both bedrooms have access to the family bathroom where you can unwind in the Jacuzzi bath after busy beach days.

Nestled in the heart of Carbis Bay, you'll have easy access to one of Cornwall's finest, Blue Flag beaches, which is popular for watersports swimming, and the village has a selection of shops, eateries and pubs to choose from.

Venture along the South West Coast Path with Hayle in one direction and St Ives in the other, where you can spot local wildlife and enjoy scenic, cliffside views across the sea.

Alternatively, St Ives is a short drive or train journey away where more sandy beaches, Tate St Ives, Barbara Hepworth Museum, and cobbled streets lined with charming cafés all await.

Further afield, you'll find Cornwall’s Eden Project with its enclosed rainforest, Pendennis Castle in Falmouth, and St Michaels Mount near Penzance, the jewel in Cornwall’s crown and a sight not to be missed.

St Ives 2 miles ; Hayle 3.5 miles ; Penzance 8.5 miles.

Just a short drive from iconic St Ives, the seaside village of Carbis Bay is best-known for its beautiful stretch of pure white sand. With turquoise waters and sheltered conditions, the beach feels almost subtropical and is the perfect spot for a good old-fashioned day by the sea. The beach is also home to the Ocean Sports Centre, so if sunbathing is not really your thing, why not hire a kayak or SUP and get out on the water instead. Or why not treat yourself to a Spa day at the delightful hotel which overlooks the beach and has a fabulous terrace where cocktails can be enjoyed in the Cornish sunshine? Carbis Bay has a small range of local shops and restaurants as well as a fish & chip takeaway and railway branch line. The train journey from Carbis Bay into St Ives is perhaps one of the most beautiful in the country; St Ives additionally makes for a great day out, with plenty of galleries to explore. The quayside town of Hayle also isn't far and is home to activities for the all the family, including a golf and a wildlife sanctuary. The Godrevy Nature Reserve and Penwith Heritage Coast are also within easy reach from Carbis Bay, providing outdoors and watersports plans with even more activities to partake in, including coasteering and birdwatching. Carbis Bay is truly a wonderful holiday location for those wanting to experience Cornwall's breathtaking coastline.
