  • "We have had a lovely time at Skysail."

    The apartment was clean and tidy when we arrived and the view is stunning. The living room has the world’s biggest tv on the wall, set up with an Xbox so there’s plenty of home entertainment for rainy days. My wife is a light sleeper and found the central heating noisy first thing in the morning but apart from that everything else was good. There is a footpath that leads you down to the beach and the train station: turn right onto the road, walk 100 yards and turn right again and the footpath is on your left-hand side at the end of a short lane. The path is fairly steep but fine if you have good mobility and it takes you down through a wooded valley and under the viaduct. Skysail is in an excellent location if like us, you enjoy exploring the beaches and coastal walking in the area.

  • "Brilliant accomodation."

    Clean, sky package in all tv's.handy for local bus and train into st ives. Apartment offered great views of the sea and Gwithian sands at Hayle Been a few times to St Ives..this was the best ever.

  • "Excellent , luxury apartment with spectacular views."

    A fantastic and quiet location convenient for Carbis bay and visiting St. Ives via train or bus taking less than 5 minutes or taking a short, enjoyable coastal walk. All facilities provided within apartment were excellent with TV in all rooms and with private parking. We would highly recommend staying at this property and when next holidaying in area we would book this delightful apartment again.

  • "Skysail is a beautiful, comfortable and well equipped property."

    Anything and everything you may need for your stay has been carefully thought out and provided. The welcome gifts were a really nice touch too. The sea view from the front of the property is spectacular. We experienced EVERY weather imaginable during our stay and the bay looked amazing in them all. Would highly recommend a break at Skysail and look forward to returning in the future.

  • "Spacious, well equipped and immaculately clean apartment with amazing views of the sea."

    Ideally located with restaurants, pub, beautiful sandy beach and Tesco’s within walking distance. St Ives also a short bus ride away or a 20-30 minutes walk. Would highly recommend.

  • "We loved Skysail!"

    The view is spectacular. We enjoyed the climb up and down to the coast path and the beach and were much faster by the end of the week! Perfect location for getting out and about around the area and walking from the property. The facilities were great and we loved it. Very quiet location, beautifully appointed house and a perfect holiday

  • "The holiday home was near to perfect the walk in shower door was unpredictable at times as it jammed on a couple of occasions."

    The only thing the property was missing was some hand soap for the bathrooms and kitchen however i did leave the ones i purchased there for the next holiday makers. Other than the above i couldn't fault anything, the apartment was homely ,the beds were unbelievably comfortable, the sea view was spectacular and the location was perfect. We cant wait to stay next august. Thank you for a lovely stay and the gifts you provided. (I hope you don't mind but we left 2 body boards in the facility room for the next holiday makers)

St Ives 2 miles ; Hayle 3.5 miles ; Penzance 8.5 miles.

Just a short drive from iconic St Ives, the seaside village of Carbis Bay is best known for its beautiful stretch of pure white sand. With turquoise waters and sheltered conditions, the beach feels almost subtropical and is the perfect spot for a good old-fashioned day by the sea. The beach is also home to the Ocean Sports Centre, so if sunbathing is not really your thing, why not hire a kayak or SUP (paddle board) and get out on the water instead? Or why not treat yourself to a Spa day at the delightful hotel which overlooks the beach and has a fabulous terrace where cocktails can be enjoyed in the Cornish sunshine? Carbis Bay has a small range of local shops and restaurants as well as a fish & chip takeaway and railway branch line. The train journey from Carbis Bay into St Ives is perhaps one of the most beautiful in the country; St Ives additionally makes for a great day out, with plenty of galleries to explore. The quayside town of Hayle also isn't far away and is home to activities for all the family, including golf and a wildlife sanctuary. The Godrevy Nature Reserve and Penwith Heritage Coast are also within easy reach from Carbis Bay, providing outdoor and watersports plans with even more activities to partake in, including coasteering and birdwatching.
