  • "This is a lovely property in a fantastic location."

    On arrival after along day we found the property was tidy but not clean we had to hover and clean the bathroom again, the drawers and wardrobes in all of the bedrooms needed wiping down as they were dusty inside. We appreciate that people bring pets but the amount of pet hair on the floor and furniture was unbelievable. The last thing you need to do when arriving at a holiday property is clean it yourself. Overall we had a lovely stay the decking area is a great place to relax. The walk to the beach is easy going but people need to be aware of the steep hill coming back especially if they have Younger children and push chairs.

    We instantly felt at home. It was equipped with a very workable kitchen and great tv system whilst the weather wasn’t so kind. But the most amazing feature - that glorious deck and view. We’ll remember it for a long time. Thank you.

  • "Property was lovely with everything you could wish for (and more)."

    There are a lot of steps down to the property which wasn’t a problem for us but could be for people with mobility issues. Only niggle was that we felt the property wasn’t given a good clean after the last family, who obviously had children as we could still see all their finger marks on furnishings (we didn’t complain as it was the jubilee weekend). Could not fault the property, ideal location and lovely views, very well equipped..

  • "Overall the apartment was very comfortable with excellent facilities and beautiful views."

    The only downside was the noisy fan by the front door it was quite loud at night, luckily we were in the main bedroom so it didnt bother us. We would certainly love to go again.

  • "What a fantastic location and apartment."

    There were two things which would have made the stay 5 star and both things relate to the single bedroom (the one between the main bathroom and main bedroom): 1) The bed was super squeaky - my son woke me up with the squeaky noise from his tossing and turning 2) The humidifier: Does a great job, not damp at all, however please could the setting be changed from 'turn off for 8 hours' to 'turn off for 10 hours'. Its really noisy, so it needs turning off for kids to sleep, but then it comes back on after 8 hours and then it wakes them up - so we were all up at the crack of dawn! Apart from that, we had a fabulous stay, great facilities, fantastic location - we loved it so much we have booked to come again. Thank you

  • "Fantastic property with great view of Carbis Bay The property is extremely well furnished and with every modern convenience Despite a huge water heater hot water availability was an issue but it did not spoil our stay."

    It may be a setting issue or may require servicing We would definitely come back at this time of year. Would love to stay in the summer but Im not sure I could justify the cost at during that period but I do understand that is the going rate Great property and anyone who stays here will not be disappointed

  • "Beautiful property with everything you could need or want provided."

    . really made for an enjoyable and special weekend for my wife's 40th birthday. Perfect location for coastal walks, St Ives and the views from the apartment were outstanding. If I had to be extremely picky I would say that the hot water runs low after approx 1 bath so boost function required with a family of 4.. by no means did this impact our stay. Love the little extra treats for the dog, complimentary Prosecco etc a very nice touch. Will definitely be booking again.

  • "Our third stay at this spacious apartment with stunning views and lovely outdoor space."

    However, the third bedroom, which we knew from previous visits had trouble with ventilation, had such a strong musty smell that we didn’t feel it was safe to let our son sleep in there. I can see that the owners have taken measures to deal with it but unfortunately the equipment they’ve installed isn’t sufficient enough and is also incredibly noisy. It’s such a shame and I hope there is something else that can be done to rectify the problem because as it stands I wouldn’t recommend anyone with asthma or breathing issues to stay there.

  • "Our second stay here at The Breakers."

    Had a wonderful time. Weather was kind which meant we could use the decking area. Everything you need to feel settled in. However, on looking to book for next year this apartment has doubled in price! I find £4,000 for 1 week laughable. This apartment is not worth it, it’s an apartment at the end of the day. Neighbours above and to the side. We would have returned in a heartbeat but not at this cost. Such a shame and very disappointing.

  • "Positives: The apartment was lovely and the location is fantastic."

    The apartment was very comfortable and finished to a high standard. Negatives: Not enough attention was spent cleaning at high levels, particularly within the conservatory but also in general. This was disappointing when you have to vacate the apartment so early to allow for cleaning. There was substantial mixed debris under the sofa which looked like it had never been cleaned under and as the sofa moves easily this needs to be addressed Looking at the costs for next year, they have increased massively and to an amount that the apartment does not justify. This will prevent us from returning, which we otherwise would have.

  • ""What a lovely apartment!"

    Everything you could possibly need with a view to die for. Gazing across the bay towards Godrevy lighthouse with a sundowner was one of the best bits! Very comfy beds with good quality bed linen and duvets. Felt like home from home and we really enjoyed our stay. Good to have all the techy bits like wi-fi, smart tv, Netflix etc. All appliances were top quality and much appreciated. Parking space is tricky if you have a longer than average car but this is coastal Cornwall and that’s par for the course! Would definitely recommend The Breakers, thanks for a marvellous stay."

    What a fantastic apartment! Stayed in most nights, relaxing on the decking. Weather was glorious so meant we could have many BBQ's. Sea Views from the bedroom, lounge, conservatory meant we could watch the sunrise most mornings. The Beach didn't allow dogs but we were allowed to walk him between 5am - 8am each morning. Spotless Apartment with everything you need. Felt at home from day 1. The decking area is a sun trap. Lots of sunbathing and relaxation after a busy day out site seeing! Love that you are dog friendly! Danielle was a great host, nothing too much trouble. Thank you for a wonderful stay - would love to return one day! "

  • ""We had a lovely 2 weeks, weather gave us a bit of everything but the decked area is a real sun trap."

    We had plans to eat out most nights but ended up catering in, we didn’t want to leave that view! Apartment is very well equipped with everything you would need including dog bowls. Apartment and garden is very dog friendly although fence at the bottom underneath the deck could be scaled at ease by an agile dog. Fantastic location, you won’t need to use your car, Tesco is a short walk uphill and beach is accessible via paths at either end of the road. We ordered our shopping to be delivered online with Sainsbury’s, also Chinese in st Ives delivers to Carbis Bay and Dominoes from Hayle. We will definitely return to the beautiful Breakers"

    Great to have underfloor heating in the bathrooms. Found the lounge a little cold as only one source of heating but there was an electric heater we were able to use. Lovely to be somewhere that does not have 'do not' signs everywhere. Our greeter Danielle was great, nothing was too much trouble. Nice welcome pack of cream tea, fizz and apple juice. Great location, the dogs loved the beach and able to use as out of the beach dog ban season."

Just a short drive from iconic St Ives, the seaside village of Carbis Bay is best-known for its beautiful stretch of pure white sand. With turquoise waters and sheltered conditions, the beach feels almost subtropical and is the perfect spot for a good old-fashioned day by the sea. The beach is also home to the Ocean Sports Centre, so if sunbathing is not really your thing, why not hire a kayak or SUP and get out on the water instead. Or why not treat yourself to a Spa day at the delightful hotel which overlooks the beach and has a fabulous terrace where cocktails can be enjoyed in the Cornish sunshine? Carbis Bay has a small range of local shops and restaurants as well as a fish & chip takeaway and railway branch line. The train journey from Carbis Bay into St Ives is perhaps one of the most beautiful in the country; St Ives additionally makes for a great day out, with plenty of galleries to explore. The quayside town of Hayle also isn't far and is home to activities for the all the family, including a golf and a wildlife sanctuary.
