  • "Very disappointed by the experience."

Was not as listed. Did not have an enclosed garden, the fourth "wall" was the height of a wellington boot. I received a call back from a colleague who said that the owner admitted that this wasn't an enclosed garden and that the website would be updated. This didn't help with our problem though. An enclosed garden was the most important part of the property for our needs (three dogs) and we wouldn't have booked it if we had seen that fourth wall. We were told that I was expected to supervise my dogs while in the garden - I agree but our level of supervision was very different to the person who occupied the holiday property behind us, they could supervise their dogs from the door when they were let out which we witnessed. We however had to put our shoes and coat on and the dogs on a lead to take them out to the garden. Then to add insult to injury on our return we received an email accusing us of theft of a knife block and money had been taken from our account to replace the knife block that we didn't steal. The email also included the following "Please let us know if you have any further questions about this" which I did and requested someone to call me as when I called the phone wasn't answered. However, instead replied via email sending a copy of T&C's and that if I wasn't happy to go through small claims court. The whole experience caused great upset and we don't recommend dealing with a company like this.

  • "Overall it’s a lovely property …very clean, well equipped and a great location."

The only downside was that it was very hot inside. Sarah did turn the heating down but it wasn’t really necessary to have it on at all in early September. I found the inability to open a window in the second bedroom a disadvantage. I couldn’t leave the exterior door open as it was very windy while we were there but I wouldn’t have felt comfortable leaving it open all night anyway. Consequently neither of us slept very well. Otherwise, it was all good.

Thank you for your feedback. I actually didn’t have the heating on. I agree it was quite warm when you stayed. Hope the fans helped!! Kind regards Sarah Property Owner

  • "The barn was beautiful, clean and comfortable."

I don’t think the pictures show just how lovely and open it is upstairs and I am already missing the incredibly comfortable bed! It’s in a lovely location - so nice to be so close to Crantock beach, our dogs adored their daily walks there. Can’t fault this adorable place and we very much hope to return. It was lovely to meet Sarah briefly and you can tell how much she cares about her business because of the high standard she keeps all her properties in. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Thank you so much for a lovely review so good to hear. Come back soon!! Kind regards Sarah Property Owner

  • "We had a wonderful stay at Carines Barns - Par."

Prior to our arrival Sarah had reached out to confirm our preferences for the beds and kindly offered to leave a complimentary bottle of prosecco for us to enjoy. The check-in process was easy and allowed us to arrive at the accommodation late into the evening. We were extremely impressed with the quality and cleanliness of the accommodation and how well equipped it was, particularly in the kitchen. We were able to cook meals throughout our stay and had everything we could possibly need to do so. The barn is well located within walking distance of Cubert and Crantock, and a short drive into Newquay, making it a great base for our stay. We'll definitely be back to Carines Barns - thank you to Sarah for a brilliant break!

So pleased you are planning on coming back - we would love to have you. Here is to another brilliant break. Best wishes Sarah Property Owner

  • "Par Cottage is beautiful."

Prior to our visit, Sarah, the owner, contacted us to identity any requirements that we had. On arrival, there was chilled Prosecco in the fridge and treats for our puppy! The cottage was gorgeous and it felt like home from home. Everything that you could possibly need was provided. The rooms were luxurious and the kitchen was well equipped. The level of cleanliness was excellent and it was located in lovely surroundings. The cottage was situated perfectly near to several local beaches. The perfect place to unwind and relax; we would definitely stay there again! Thank you!

We are pleased that you and yours enjoyed your well-deserved break! Come back again soon. Kind regards Sarah Property Owner

  • "Beautiful and comfortable property."

We had a lovely stay only negative was when trying to use the oven it kept tripping the fuse board otherwise everything was lovely and would definitely recommend.

We are so glad your enjoyed your stay and you would recommend Par. I am so sorry that the oven was faulty. As you could probably tell the oven was nearly 'brand new'. If we had known that it had kept on tripping whilst you were staying there we would have rectified it. It turns out that the mother board to the oven is broken and we have installed a new oven. Hope you come back soon! Property Owner
